"FINAN!" Y/N shouted as she looked in the heavy sea. Her body started to panic as she tried to look for him. The boat had shattered in the storm, and they had all fallen off into the sea. She could see Sihtric holding onto Osferth, who was struggling to stay afloat.
"Finan!" Y/N rushed towards his floating body, grabbing hold of him as she swam forward. Her legs kicked as fast as she could, trying to keep his head up out of the water. As soon as Y/N got him to the sand, she started to shake him.
"Finan!" She croaked out as she slapped his face harshly as she started to panic. Y/N grabbed his face, pleading with the God's. Pleading with them bring him back.

Finan spluttered up the water. A confused expression formed on his face as he looked at Y/N, who forced his forehead against hers.
"Yu stupid woman. I would never leave yu." Finan croaked out as he held her face. Y/N collapsed against him, feeling tired and in pain from her leg. She wasn't the only one who was injured. Osferth was clutching at his arm in pain, while Sihtric was being sick. They where all exhausted and in pain. Y/N closed her eyes ever so slightly feeling a wave of sickness creep up on her, but she did nothing.
"It's only me." Y/N jumped when she felt Finan rip the bottom of breeches to tie it around her leg to stop the bleeding.
"Is it deep?" Finan shook his head at her question as he tightened it around the wound. "No, but it is bleeding a lot. It might be because yu haven't put pressure on it." Y/N sat up, looking around at the cliffs.
There was nothing here.

They had landed in a place of nothing. They were not on a port nor a village on the coast.
"There is nothing here!" Y/N said as she tried to get up but fell back down at the weight. Finan held out his arms for her to grab them. She held herself up for a few moments before she started walking. Finan said nothing but followed her to the path up the hill, knowing she was looking for a sign of life.
"We can't go too far, Y/N." Finan called out as Y/N walked further.
"No. I just want to reach that point to see." Finan accepted her answer and followed quietly behind her. The two of them stopped as they realised they could not see anything. There were just mountains and mountains. Y/N looked at Finan, who gave her a sigh. They both thought the same thing as they looked around them.
"Let's bring them up here and think of plan." Y/N said.
"Check every mountain? Absolutely not?" Finan grumbled as he started to head back down. "Stay there." Y/N nodded and waited for him to go back down the hill before she walked up another hill. More like limped up the hill.

She felt as if she had to take control and think of a plan. Uhtred was devastated. The rest were either injured or sick from the sea.
"Y/N!" Finan called as he watched her, but she did not listen, only tiredly carrying her body up the hill.
"Y/N! Stop!" Sihtric called as he jogged over to her, leaving the men.
"Hey!?" Sihtric called out to her, making her stop. She turned around slowly, feeling her throat tighten as she looked at him.
"Come here." Sihtric let her walk into his arms as she cried. Her heart broke for Beocca, for Thyra, for her son, she abandoned and for what?
"Beocca is with Thyra. You know that, Y/N. Neither would want you to be sad." Sihtric whispered in her ear, feeling himself saddened by Beoccas' death.
"I'm sad about my leg, Sihtric! You slashed my leg." Y/N said as she looked up at him, tears forming again, "Why do you keep injuring me, ey?" Sihtric laughed at her, making her laugh. It was true. It always happened to be Sihtric.
"Maybe, because I'm the only one who can stop you!" Sihtric brushed the tears that fell. It was true what he said. Finan couldn't because he knew she was always determined to do things, but Sihtric feared she would injure herself.
"Uhtred needs a moment, and then we'll come up with a plan." Finan said as he approached them.
"We all do." Finan said as he placed his arm on her back, gently rubbing it.
"He's right," Sihtric agreed, "sit for a moment and collect your thoughts."

Y/N sat down next to Osferth, burying her head in her knees. Her heart yearning for her son, even if it was to see him for a small moment. Finan approached her and kissed her head gently before he placed his head against her shoulder quietly.
"You should go to him." Y/N murmered. Finan could always talk sense into Uhtred, they where bonded in such a way.
"Give him another moment." Finan said as he looked at her. She smiled at him gently, "he needs you." Finan tapped her arm and got up to talk to Uhtred. She watched Finan walk up to Uhtred. She could only imagine what he was going through.

"None of that!" Y/N scolded as she heard the men whisper about their failed journey. "We have a plan, alright!" Sihtric and Osferth quietly laughed at her, telling the men off.
"How do you deal with her,Sihtric?" Osferth asked, while Sihtric made a sling for him.
"Easily."Sihtric said as he smiled at her.
"I can deal with him complaining but not the others as well." Y/N whispered, causing the two to laugh at her, knowing she meant Young Uhtred.
"Where is Uhtred?" Sihtric asked Finan when he approached them. Finans face held a frown, suggesting he needed to come up with a plan.
"He walks alone." Finan stated.
"I fear his spirit is broken." Osferth spoke sadly as he cupped his broken arm.
"The day Uhtred is broken is the day you grow hair down there, Osferth. It will never come." Finan jested, making Sihtric and Y/N laugh before speaking honestly. "He lost a friend and grieves him, as we all do." Finan said as he squeezed his wife's arm in reassurance. Y/N looked up at him, noticing his face twisting in thought. Finan pointed to Y/N when he reached an idea.
"He told me we must return south. Well, come on. We'll need horses and provisions for the journey." Finan said as he took his rings off, before he turned to Sihtric to pull his arm rings off.
"Buy what yu can. There's a village beyond the ridge. Try not to spend it all at once." Sihtric snatched the rings of his hand before collecting the rest from the men.
"I'll go with him. To make sure we get a few extras." Y/N said with a smirk, causing Finan to roll his eyes at her.
