Osferth and Y/N sat in the woods, eating the leveret, while they came up with a plan. The plan was more of an excuse as to why Y/N did not wish for her husbands to follow. Even though her only reason was to prove she could be a good wife.
"Do you think they will be angry." Osferth said, as he ate the last bit of his food.
"Very. Sihtric more so than Finan." Y/N looked at her horse, shaking her head. The two of them were completely exhausted and hoped they would get past the guards in order to head to bed.
"Sihtric does not seem the type to be angry." Osferth asked. Finan was known to be level-headed compared to Sihtric. However, Finan did get rather agitated easily.
"Sihtric can be, so we need to head back before he does."
"Might be too late for that." Osferth muttered.

Y/N jumped onto her horse, nearly falling back off of it. Osferth was not any better at getting on a horse either. Both of them were tired and sore from their journey, that by the time they reached the gates of Dunholm, it was pitch black. The only sound of Dunholm was the small chatters of the people within the walls.
"Have you finished your affair?" The ginger Dane asked, from the wall. Y/N yawned, completely unbothered by the man's remarks.
"Let them in." Y/N looked back at Osferth, who seemed rather nervous.

The Dane came down to greet them. A grin on his face as he approached her.
"I am Cnut." Y/N nodded, looking at Osferth awkwardly. She did not know who the man was, besides his name. "And you are the Danes wife."
"And the Saxons." Y/N remarked. "Don't forget the Saxon." Cnut laughed as he tied her horse to the wooden poll.
"How can I not. The man likes to drink." Y/N smiled. Finan would always find himself in the company of a drink.
"Though. Your husbands do not seem to be attentive." Cnut helped Y/N off her horse. His hands carefully on her hips, not moving from them when she was firmly placed on the floor.
"Are they not?" Y/N sighed, an amused expression forming on her lips. "Though I do have two husbands and one of them is a Dane. Sihtric is an excellent warrior." With a smile, Y/N took his hands from her hips before walking off. Eyeing Osferth from the side.

As she walked out, the stables, she noticed Sihtric scanning the area. Still looking for her. Y/N picked up a small stone, throwing it at his back. Sihtric instantly turned around, his face relaxed as she ran towards him. Catching her in his arms as she kissed him. She knew he had so many questions, but she wanted to embrace him first.
"You've broken the curse." Sihtric breathed as he pulled her hair back, looking at her face. Studying her. Looking for a trace of the curse left.
"You really have broken the curse." Sihtric squeezed her face, pressing his lips harshly against hers as his tongue invaded her.
"WHERE HAVE YU BEEN!" Finan pulled Y/N from Sihtrics lips as he shook her. His eyes had a scared look in them. He thought he had lost her for good.
"Answer me?" Finans eyes watered.
"Finan." Sihtric scolded, knowing how petrified he was.
"Your wife has lifted the curse." Cnut said as he watched the trio interact.
"Is that true?" Finan asked, his arms reaching out to her.
"It is." Y/N cupped his face in her hands, stroking his beard. "It is Finan. It is gone."

Y/N could hear Osferth informing Uhtred, but she did not care. Only wishing to he in her husbands embrace.
"I will go nowhere. Without you nor Sihtric." Y/N pressed her forehead against his. Feeling his warmth.
"We must celebrate." Brida said, smiling her. "It is a harsh price to pay, but it is worth it."
"She is right." Ragnar said. "Tonight in the square." Y/N laughed, leaning into Sihtric tiredly as Finan left to grab some ale.

Y/N watched in amusement as Ragnar rounded up his men in the square to celebrate.
"Well, that is a jug." Sihtric said as Finan bought over the largest jug he could find.
"I take celebrations seriously." Finan said as he handed Y/N the jug, a smirk written on his face. Y/N rolled her eyes and lifted it, nearly drowning in it. Finan and Sihtric laughed watching her in awe.
"We are divided, it seems. We are two people, it seems." Ragnar said, taunting the men as they laughed. Ragnar wanted the men to play a game.
"Over hear. We have the ugly. The unwashed. The shit smelling." Ragnar said, while Finan endulged himself in the ale as they laughed.
"The pig humping. The frog licking. The Rome worshipping. The ugly, frog linking Saxons." Ragnar called Uhtreds men over to one side of the rope. Y/N laughed at her husbands, who were fully immersed in the celebration.
"Give it here." Y/N took the jug from Finan to pour it into Sihtrics mouth. The three of them laughed at each other, slightly dripping in ale.

Ragnar turned to introduce the other opponents.
"In the battle of strength. We have. The pretty." Y/N laughed at Ragnar's boldness. "The sweet smelling. The light of foot."
"The apple cheeked." Cnut shouted
Sihtric placed his arms around Finan and Y/N, laughing at the Danes in front of them. It was the first time she saw them both completely happy and content in a long time.
"Golden haired boys of Denmark and beyond." Ragnar's drunk voice livened the crowd.

Y/N looked over to Osferth with a grin. Knowing they previously wanted to sleep, but now they where kept awake.
"Now you may take the rope." Ragnar said, getting the men ready. Finan gave Y/N the jug, telling her to keep it safe, giving her a kiss on the forehead, while Sihtric grinned at her, as he followed Finan.
"Ragnar is like a child." Y/N said as she sat with Brida watching the men with excitement.
"He'd play games every day if he could." Brida said before shouting pull. Watching the men dig their heals into the ground as Ragnar chanted and shouted at the men.
"Pull you bastards." Ragnar shouted as he cut the rope. Letting the men fall. "Ragnar. Son of the fearless is the Victor." Y/N clapped and laughed at Ragnar's sense of humour.
"He brings 20 men on their arse while drinking ale."

Y/Ns humour increased when Finan wobbled over to her. A drunken look on his face.
"I love yu, Y/N." Finan grabbed her face, nearly falling as he approached her. Kissing her drunkenly.
"Is it Finans bed time." Finan shook his head, looking at Sihtric, who rolled his eyes.
"Only if yu tuck me in." Sihtric laughed as he pulled Y/N into his arms, kissing her neck.
"You all heard him say it." Y/N shouted, letting Sihtric hold her.
"He will not make it to bed." Sihtric whispered in her ear with laughter. His laughter stopped when he heard a man call Ragnar, causing Sihtrics arm to tighten around her when he saw Ragnar's face become tense, as they waited for the watchman to enter.

"Men and horses, Lord." The watchman said as he climbed off of his horse. "They are warriors." Y/N looked at Sihtric, who became concerned.
"How many?" Uhtred asked.
"Forty or fifty. I don't recognise them." Y/N looked at Sihtric, who became worried.
"Spears and arrows to the wall. Till we know who they are and what they want." Sihtric grabbed their swords, passing Finan his, who was still in a daze, along with hers, as they climbed the wall. Looking out to see a group of men heading towards them.
"Uhtred." Y/N said, as she recognised one of them. It was Haesten.
"Bloodhair and Haesten." Uhtred confirmed. They saw them, too. Bloodhair has found them.
"Earl Ragnar, I am Haesten." Haesten called from his horse.
"We know who you are. The question is, what do you want?" Sihtric kept his harm out, shielding Y/N out of habit, as they watched the men converse. Knowing they came for one thing. Skade.
