When Y/N and Uhtred reached Rumcofa with the men they were provided with, they instantly walked around to greet the people. Some were already familiar with Uhtred, and others were not. They, however, realised that once they travelled around, how lucky they were with Rumcofa. It had so much potential. The river was strong and seemed to have so much potential. If their predictions were right, they could even trade with Weales and potential Ireland, but only time would tell.
"Look at that forest." Uhtred said. Y/N agreed, knowing full well that was the biggest bit of wealth. It was good for hiding and for hunting.
"You were right. Wait until Finan and Sihtric get here." Y/N said with a smirk as they continued to walk around Rumcofa. Greeting the people as they went.
"Though, we are further north. The winter is harsher." Y/N suggested, making Uhtred stop.
"You are right! We will have to make a plan when we bring them here." Uhtred agreed before he pointed to something, "that's a large cottage. You could extend that and build a bigger home for the nine of you!"
"Nine?!" She said with a shock on her face. "There is only eight in my home. And it will stay as eight!" Uhtred slapped her arm playfully as they wandered around some more, creating little plans in their heads of what they were going to do here.

In the end, they decided it was best to wait for everyone to get up here before making any descion. When Uhtred decided they were to head back to retrieve their family from Cookham, he wanted Y/N to stay in Rumcofa with the Mercian Guards, which she happily obliged, seeing as the last time her children did long journeys it was chaos. Pure chaos. While she waited, she spent her days interacting with the people of Rumcofa. Many of which were Danes she found. Only a few where Saxon, which primarily benefited Uhtred. Another thing she found out while waiting was the ale was incredibly strong, however, since she had children, she had a weaker tolerance to alcohol, but according to her new friend she met, the alcohol was imported. Her new friend was a blonde woman. Slightly older than Y/N by a bit who moved here as an infant. Y/N had met the woman shouting at some man drunk man who came near here. Y/N found it incredibly funny and decided to approach her. She had taken a like into this woman a lot and got drunk with her every night after she nearly fought another man.
"So. So. You have two husbands." The blonde woman drunkenly said. "One Dane and One Saxon.
"He's Irish!" Y/N said as she pointed.
"Irish!" She repeated back to Y/N with a laugh before saying, "and five children."
"Five. One I adopted somewhere in between! I seem to look after everyone, " Y/N said drunkenly with a laugh.
"Build a house.... a b-big one." The blonde woman said, "and I-I will live in it!" Y/N laughed, smacking her head against hers as the two giggled all night until an angry faced Uhred walked through the door.
"Y/N! What are you doing?" Y/N frowned sarcastically and looked at her friend who laughed at her.
"Your husband seems pissed." The woman said with a laugh as she pointed to Uhtred, who glared.
"I have never seen mother so drunk." Cynlæf whispered to Æthelstan very loudly.
"No. No. Not that one. That one. And that one." Y/N pointed to Sihtric and Finan, who watched her in amusement with their arms crossed.
"You were supposed to be keeping guard, not getting drunk." Uhtred snapped as he took the jug from them. "Who is she anyway?"
"She has a name!" Her friend spat, making Uhtred widen his eyes.
"Her name is Ingrith! And she k-keeps me company!" Y/N said with a laugh, letting Ingrith lean her head on Y/N, patting it drunkenly.
"Yeah? What sort of company is that then?" Osferth asked humorously.
"Uh, something I am more experienced in than you!" Y/N said, ever so quickly, making Cynlæf and Æthelstans mouth drop as they looked at their fathers.
"Should we feel threatened?" Finan asked Sihtric as he eyed Ingrith.
"I think she just stole your wife." Osferth said as he patted the two mens shoulders.
"I can see that?" Sihtric said as he watched the two women giggle in front of them.

Cynlæf and Æthelstan sat down in front of the two women, watching them with humour.
"You must Y/Ns sons." Ingrith said with a drunk smile. The two boys nodded, trying not to laugh at her.
"He definitely looks like you." Ingrith said, as she pointed towards Æthelstan who laughed.
"Lady, mother, adopted me." Æthelstan said gratefully.
"Ooh. The boy she found." Ingrith said, making Uhtred glare at Y/N. Y/N tried to make an apologetic face, but it came out slightly distorted.
"No wonder she's drunk. Drink that, Sihtric!" Finan said as he handed Sihtric the cup he just drank from. Sihtric almost choked when he tasted the harsh liquor before looking at his wife. Waving his hand in front of her face.
"Ay? How many have you had?" Sihtrics asked his drunk wife who seemed to have miss heard the question, "no I've only been with you and Finan. I only jested."
"Right, yu. Bed!" Finan said as he walked around, placing his hand on her shoulders with a laugh.
"Off you go, Cynlæf. Æthelstan!" Y/N said as she waved her hand.
"I think he meant you, mother." Cynlæf said with a smirk. "Time for bed, mother. Shall me and Æthelstan tuck you in?" Y/N blinked. Completely, unaware of what was going on at this point until Finan pulled her out of her seat, to put her to bed.
