Y/N waited inside a barn with Uhtred and his men, waiting for Sihtric to bring Erik to them.
"Uhtred. She said that you would come. I dare not believe her, but you are here." Erik greeted, Y/N curious to know what had changed, "what has changed?"
"In truth." Erik looked at Y/N before back to Uhtred. "It is hopeless. Our task is not how we escape Beamfleot. It is how we free Æthelflaed." Uhtred turned around confused.
"Ægir has her hanging, where everyman can see her." Finan looked at Y/N slightly worried before walking towards Uhtred.
"Lord, I might enjoy a fight as much as the next idiot, but this is beyond us." Uhtred patted Finan before turning back to Erik. Sihtrics eyes would not meet hers. He was conflicted. Part of him wanted to kill the man that hurt his wife, but if it meant Y/N could potentially die in the fight, he would risk letting the man live.
"We must do it now."

Y/N turned and headed with Clapa to set a roof on fire. Throwing the torches up onto the roof, causing the men to panick and rush out. Finan grabbed Y/N, "with me." Y/N followed him into the room, seeing Æthelflaed hung from the ceiling, before charging at the man infront of her, ducking underneath him, slicing his ankles, before following Erik to shut the door.
"Clapa. Shitric the cage." Y/N shoved a table towards the door before heading back to help Sihtric break the chain off.
"They will follow the silver." Uhtred looked at Y/N. The woman sighed.
"No!" The two men shouted. Y/N shook her head, walking out. Finan grabbed her back, not allowing Uhtred to use his wife as bait. Y/N grabbed Finans face, harsher than she intended. "Kill the bastard for me."

Quickly, Y/N changed into the Lady Æthelflaed's clothes before climbing onto the horse with the help of Osferth.
"Ride for the Red Gate. Do not stop." Sihtric slapped her horse as Y/N rode ahead as fast as she could. Sigefrid's men followed her, closing in on her at the field. Y/N felt a pair of hands grab her and throw her off the horse.
"I thought I'd recognise that pretty little face." Ægir spat, grabbing the woman, Y/N laughed in his face out of fear. "Where is the Lady Æthelflaed." Y/N grunted, before spitting in his face, scrambling up towards her feet.
"How you've grown into a fine woman." There was no way Y/N could take on six men at once, her only method was to run and to keep running. Y/N clutched at sword, running as fast as she could, eventually falling as her legs gave out on her. The woman shook her head with a grunt, carefully listening. Ægir's men had stopped following her, for now. The woman had changed direction, there was no way she could reach the Red Gate, she had to turn back, to Winchester, but she didn't know which way to go. Y/N walked slowly, eventually finding the path to Winchester.

Almost laughing, when she saw Odda. The woman dropped almost crying.
"Do nothing. It is the Lady Y/N." Odda rushed over, picking the woman up, holding her from under her arm.
"Where are the others?" Odda rushed her over to their tents, bringing a cup of ale for her.
"I do not know. At Beamfleot." The woman held her head in her hands, looking back at Odda.
"Why are you here? I thought you where to head for Devonshire, Lord?" Odda laughed, explaining the turn around of events and how he chose to side with Wessex one last time.

Y/N followed Odda, where they greeted Alfred's and Æthelred's men.
"Lord, I'm grateful to see you. As are my men. I told each one that we are here on the orders of King Alfred." Y/N stayed back with Odda and his men, scanning the area.
"Lord. It is Uhtred and his men." Y/N said, a smile on her face, but she knew it would not last. Sigefrid's men would find them.
"BLOODY HELL, WOMAN!" Finan jumped off his horse, picking the woman up, she looked at his face as he searched her for wounds. Finans face was covered in blood from the battle.
"Y/N!" Sihtric breathed, pulling her into a hug. "Never do something like that again. You hear me." Y/N nodded at Sihtric, who kissed her.
"Sigefrid's men will not give it up." Finan spat out, looking at Y/N.
"I know, Fin. Ægir worked it out. I know they will reach soon."
"He let you go?" Sihtric asked, swapping his sword with hers.
"I don't know. I just kept running." Sihtric nodded, watching the Danes approach. They will not back down now. None of them will.

"SHIELD WALL!" Odda shouted. The men around them moved, Finan pushed Y/N back behind him. Y/N held her sword tightly as the Dane men came, protecting Osferth, who still cowardly hid behind her. Finan still kept her within his reach, trying not to let a man touch her.
"I WANT THE LADY Y/N." Y/N knew that voice, but Finan had her, keeping her close to him.
"He will not touch you." Finan pushed her back as Ægir walked forward, pointing his sword at Finan .
"You know the woman shares. With me and Hæsten." Finan laughed at the man's words heading towards him when a sword went straight through Ægir's head.
"Lord." Osferth muttered at the sight. It was Sihtric. Sihtric kicked him down to the floor, trying to reach for his sword. Sihtric kicked it.
"You can die and go to nifleheim," Sihtric killed the man, stabbing him repeatedly, until he lost the last bit of anger left.
