The next morning i wake up to honking disrupting my sleep. I look out my window and Chris is honking the horn. Matt is waiting at my front door and i scramble out of bed and to the front door.
" morning." Matt says, his hands dug into his pockets. I smile and stand aside so he can step in. " im sorry i overslept." I say and he laughs. I head up and brush my teeth.
" okay lets go." I smile and he sighs and stands from the couch. I put on my shoes and when matt opens the door i realise I've forgot my bag. " shit my bag, wait." I say and run upstairs.
" im waiting in the car!" Matt shouts and i hear the door slam shut. I grab my bag and head into the car. We drive there and no ones in the parking lot because were late. About 20 minutes late. I jump out and say bye to the others and start in the direction of my math class.
I feel a hand grab my wrist and i spin around to see a grinning matt. " let me walk you babe." He says and i smile. My belly flutters at the sound of matt calling me babe. He walks me and plants a kiss on the side of my head before opening the door for me. Ethan is clearly jealous and i smile, my eyes glossy. The teacher is furious and i just grab my notebook, not leaving my own world the whole class.
I jump up at the sound of the bell and run to the sport hall and see all the boys head into the changing rooms. I shrug and head out to the stands. I bring out my notebook and start on a science assignment.
Matts pov:
" is that y/n." I hear someone whisper and at the sound of her name my head lifts up and shes smiling and waving at me on the top of the bleachers. I lift my hand to wave and the boys all look at me wide eyed.
" shes hot." I hear another whisper and my expression hardens. " dude." I say and he looks embarrassed. We practice as normal but im aware that y/n is watching me and it puts me off.
" okay good practice boys. See you next week." Coach dismisses us and i run into the changing rooms and grab my bag and walk out to see y/n leaning against the wall.
Y/n's pov:
Matt walks out with his bag on his shoulder and his hair glistening with sweat. Ive never been into sporty guys but looking at matt now its hard to resist him.
" hey." I smile and lean up to kiss his cheek, he tastes like sweat. I dont really mind it. He blushes and takes my hand. We go to the car and i dont realise that no one was their so did we need to hold hands?
" im starving, lets get food." He says and i nod. We drive to the nearest McDonalds and i just order a Pepsi. He pulls his wallet out and so do i. " its a Pepsi, i got it y/n." He says and i shake my head. " no its a rule, you dont pay for me." I say and waggle my finger in his face.
" babe its a dollar. I mean y/n its a dollar, please!" He says and we both flush red. I put the dollar in his wallet when he's not looking just to move on. " thank you." I say and he nods. He drives me straight home and i dont know why it annoyed me so much, i kind of wanted to hang out buts no one would see us.
" great first day. Well done." I cheer and he laughs awkwardly, i walk away and cringe when i close the door.
