During a night out, Freen, the daughter and heir of a conglomerate awakens a part of herself when she locks eyes with a young physics professor, Becky.
They fall HARD and FAST before realising all the obstacles that prevent them from being together...
"I've know you all your life." Richie claimed. "Ha! I haven't seen you for 3 months, a lot can change in 3 months" Becky replied.
Becky looked down and let out a sigh, "I fell in love".
Becky lowered her gaze again but this time was interrupted by Richie failing to hold back his laughter.
-SMACK!!- Becky slaps Richie on his arm.
"WHAT?" Becky exclaimed. "Sorry it's just funny. You said it like you were about to reveal some great wisdom to me." Richie sniggered. "Shut up." Becky playfully demands. "Sorry" Richie says.
"I mean it." Becky responds after a long pause. "...are you ok? Who is she? What happened?" Richie asks. "I'm good, I'm just not sure what to do. The time we spent together meant something to me but I'm not sure she feels the same." Becky replies. Richie places his hand on Becky's back to soothe her "You'll figure it out. You're the smart one. 😅"
They sit still side by side on the wooden swing until Richie begins to swing his legs back and forth in an attempt to lighten the mood.
Becky glances at Richie and rolls her eyes then says "Thanks for coming home Rich" "No probs" Richie replies.
Becky leaves the garden and enters the living room. She sits next to her Ma at the dinning table who is shuffling a deck of cards with the evening news on in the background.
"Becca, let's play cards!" She says. "Sure" Becky replies. "Richie you too!"
Ma won 6 out of 8 times of course. Nobody in the family knew what she did in her past life to be so damn good at cards. Having been thoroughly thrashed Becky looked at her watch and got up from the table to turn in for the night.
"I'm going to bed, welcome home Rich. Night Ma" she says leaving them at the table still engrossed in the game. Becky drags her feet upstairs slowly. It had been a long and emotionally draining day for her. As soon as she enters her room she slumps onto her bed and lays still for a moment.
Before long she notices herself dosing off so she musters up her strength to go and wash up. As she stands in front of the bathroom mirror and looks at her reflection she remembers Freen's intense stare and taps her bottom lip.
The weekend had come and gone in the blink of and eye and it was already Monday tomorrow.
After washing up, Becky, now in her cute pink striped pyjamas, sat at her desk. She glanced at her phone in hopes that Freen would message her but no message came in. She opened her drawer and brought out a pack of papers in a folder with the university logo on it. She scanned her schedule for tomorrow excitedly underlining her favourite activities of the day with a pink highlighter.

When she was done she returned the folder to her drawer, got into bed and turned off her bed lamp. As she lay in bed she couldn't help but think "I wonder if Freen is thinking of me the way I am thinking of her", her eyes heavy as she drifts into sleep.
The next morning Becky is woken by her alarm. She jumped out of bed within 5 seconds and into the shower. "Hey Ma! Have you seen my silver earrings? I'm sure I was wearing them yesterday" Becky shouted, there was no reply. Becky picked up a different pair and got dressed.
Downstairs Ma had already prepared Jok for her knowing it was her first day at the university. The smell of freshly cooked breakfast drew her in as she took her seat at the table opposite Richie. She loved Jok.

"Morning Becca," Ma said. "Morning" Becky replied.
As Becky began to eat her food she noticed that Ma and Richie were both quieter than usual so in an effort to lift the mood Becky turned on the tv. The tv was still on the twitch gaming channel Richie had left it on last night so Becky changed it back to the morning news.
