During a night out, Freen, the daughter and heir of a conglomerate awakens a part of herself when she locks eyes with a young physics professor, Becky.
They fall HARD and FAST before realising all the obstacles that prevent them from being together...
They sat comfortably with each other until Becky broke the silence. "Hey Freen?" Becky said "Yeah?" Freen replied "We're friends now right?" Becky asked
Freen looked up at Becky with the truth bubbling up inside her. She wanted to tell Becky the truth about how she had been longing for her since the day they met and had only continued to fall for her more and more as they continued to bump into each other.
Freen's phone began to ring and vibrate interrupting their conversation.
"Hello?" Freen answered ... "Ok, I'm on my way" Freen said as she dropped the phone.
She looked over at Becky and said, "I have to go pick up my brother from the airport" "Your brother?" Becky asked "Yes, Heng." Freen responded "He's your brother?!" Becky exclaimed Freen laughed, "yes, who did you think he was?" "I don't know" Becky laughed
"I'll come pick you up tomorrow at 4pm" Freen said as she gathered her things "Ok sure" Becky replied "Wear something comfortable" Freen concluded
The following day Freen left home earlier than she would on a usual Saturday and was out right up till 3pm when she started heading over to Becky's house.
Freen arrived at 4pm on the dot and Becky was right there waiting to meet her. Freen got out of her car. She looked breathtaking. She wasn't wearing anything particularly fancy, just the opposite she was dressed down, but she looked even more beautiful with less makeup and trainers on.
Freen opened the door for Becky and closed it behind her as she entered her car. Entering the drivers side Freen started the car and pulled out of the driveway.
"Where are we going?" Becky asked "It's a surprise 😅" Freen said "Seriously? I hate surprises." Becky replied "Oh really?" Freen scoffed "too bad"
Becky and Freen were relaxed but nervous in each others presence. They had comfortable conversation and banter. They were in the car for about 30minutes till they arrived at the space museum in the city.
Becky's eyes lit up. She loved physics and with her love for physics came a love for space and exploration as well. Becky remembered Freen mentioned a space project that her company was in the midst of running and sure enough when they arrived inside, the MonSam space exhibition was the main event.
Freen had remembered how Becky geeked out asking her questions about it that day they got to know each other. Freen spent the morning curating this special exhibition for one day only. She knew Becky would love it and she did.
Becky browsed the museum as her eyes lit up like a kid in a candy shop. Freen felt so happy seeing Becky's face light up. She had not been a part of making Becky smile for a long time and having achieved that today, she felt content.
Becky had been taking a picture of everything she laid eyes on. Freen pulled out her phone and pulled Becky in close. "Let's take a picture" Freen said Becky's breath began to catch in her lungs being so close to Freen. She had forgotten what that felt like. Becky forced a nervous smile to take the picture but as soon as she could get away and put some distance between her and Freen, she did.
It was getting dark and the museum was about to close. Freen and Becky left and drove to a seafood restaurant near Becky's home that Becky had previously recommended. "She remembered everything" Becky thought. They ordered TomYum.

"I'm surprised someone like you can eat messy food like this" Becky said "Food like what? Tasty?" Freen asked playfully
"I hope this is okay though?" Freen asked "It's perfect, this is the best day I've had since I've been back in Bangkok" Becky replied "I'm really glad, this is the most fun I've had in a long time too" Freen said
Becky began to giggle "I thought this was going to be so awkward" Becky said "Why?" Freen asked. "Well, given our past I thought.... Well, we're friends now so I'm glad we can hang out like this" Becky replied
It cut Freen to hear that Becky thought of her as just a friend but in that moment realised that it would only confuse Becky the more to come clean about her feelings. Her actions had already been so contradicting so she needed more time to show Becky that she cared for her.
When they were done Freen drove Becky home. They sat in the drive a few moments more before both reaching into the back to grab the to-go box they had packed up at the restaurant.
Their lips were centimetres apart. Becky could feel Freen's breath on her top lip but could not bring herself to pull away. When Freen eventually noticed Becky's breath shallowing she edged closer to her lips. Becky still did not pull away.
Freen did not plan or expect this but she instinctively closed the gap between their lips.
This kiss was not desperate like their previous kisses, it was not impatient or lustful. Freen did not passionately swirl her head and tongue around. She just planted a single tender and soft kiss on Becky's lips.
Becky without a word exited the car. She did not look back. She entered her house leaving the to-go box on the seat.
