During a night out, Freen, the daughter and heir of a conglomerate awakens a part of herself when she locks eyes with a young physics professor, Becky.
They fall HARD and FAST before realising all the obstacles that prevent them from being together...
Freen sat back in her desk chair looking at the ceiling. Noey's words rang in her ears, "Is that how you feel about the girl?" Freen suddenly flashed back to the night they met and the way she felt when she was with Becky. She had convinced herself that Becky was controlling her but knew in her heart that she had lost control all on her own. She liked the girl.
-KNOCK! KNOCK!- "Another visitor?!" Freen thought. "Come in!" Freen exclaimed The door creeped open slowly to reveal Freen's fiancé Non.
"Freen, I came to take you out for lunch since it's official now." Non said with a beaming smile on his face. "I'm working" Freen said "Can't you take a break?" Non asked, "look at all the people waiting for us" he added. Non shifted the door ajar to reveal a flurry of reporters waiting outside Freen's office.
"You brought the media to my office?" Freen said sternly "They just followed me" Non replied with a cheeky smile, "I mean the news JUST broke"
Non gently closed the door and made his way behind Freen's desk. "Come on let's put on a good show for them while we get to know each other" he whispered. You could see Freen shiver with disgust as she got up. She put on her coat and bag and obliged the invitation.
Non paraded Freen around the city that day till the sun went down. They took pictures with every Tom, Dick and Harry AND their dogs. Freen was utterly exhausted. When Non finally arrived at Freen's home to drop her off she all but jumped out of the car.
She rushed inside without saying a word to her fiancé. Once inside she jumped into the shower as though she wanted to wash off the events that had transpired that day. When Freen finally got out of the shower she felt much better. She slipped into her night gown and got under the covers. She reached under the pillow on the other side of the bed for her book but found something else. It was studded silver earrings.
She held it up to her face and looked at it. She knew immediately that it was Becky's and that she wanted to return it to her but after everything that happened she didn't know how to best approach it.
She placed the earring on her bedside table and pulled her book out from under the same pillow. Freen was reading a book called Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a long and happy life.
She opened the book to where she had last placed her bookmark and at the top of the page in Helvetica it said "Accept Your Feelings".
Freen had suppressed her emotions throughout her entire life so much so that those words encouraged an intense internal reaction. Freen felt so uncomfortable about the feelings that started to surface after she read those words. She slammed it shut, threw it into a corner of her room, switched off the lamp on her dresser and went to bed.
The next morning Freen sent a text to Becky. 🖤: Found your earrings👀

Becky was surprised to see a message from Freen so soon after she had made it clear that she wasn't interested in anything to do with Becky.
Becky went back and forth in her mind debating whether or not she should reply but eventually decided it was best not to respond.
Becky was busy preparing lesson plans for lectures that begun next week. Becky was a dedicated lecturer and wanted her students to enjoy her lectures as much as possible. She had been going to campus everyday to prep the experiments she'd lined up for the semester along with the two other lecturers she started with, Baitoey and Lux.
Before leaving for the day Becky went down to make herself a cup of coffee to go. While waiting for the coffee to brew she checked for letters addressed to her in the stack on the dining table. She saw her full name 'Rebecca Armstrong' on a letter poking out of the side of the stack. As she reached to grab it, Richie came barrelling into the kitchen and snatched the pile of letters away.
