During a night out, Freen, the daughter and heir of a conglomerate awakens a part of herself when she locks eyes with a young physics professor, Becky.
They fall HARD and FAST before realising all the obstacles that prevent them from being together...
Becky had resigned from UoB. She had been taking care of Richie at home and in her spare time trying to do research on Marlin.
Becky had gotten this idea in her head that if she were to unite Marlin's essesnces she would be able to bring her Da back. That was now what was driving her.
She had not cried since the day they received the 5th essence in a package from Da because that day Becky decided not to accept his death. Her grief had moved from anger to denial. She began work building a machine that could potentially track Marlin's essences using the essences they already possessed.
Becky had not left her room for 4 days straight and Richie had begun to worry.
Richie knocked on Becky's door. "Becky, are you coming to eat?" He called out "No." Becky answered firmly "Mum made TomYum soup with Prawns" he continued
Becky did not answer.
"Finished!" Becky exclaimed with a heavy sigh. "One more test" she continued Becky switch on the handheld machine and hovered it over the other essences.

-STATIC STATIC STATIC- "It works!" Becky shouted
Becky stuffed the device into her bag and ran down the stairs and out the door without saying a single word to her family.
Becky stood outside the house in deep thought. Bangkok was huge and they didn't even live in the city. She pulled out her phone and called someone.
[OVER THE PHONE] 🐶: I need your help 💃🏽: Becky, What is it? 🐶: Can you come pick me up and take me somewhere? I don't have any other means of transportation. 💃🏽: urmmm.. right now? 🐶: As quickly as possible 💃🏽: Alright I'm on my way
When Baitoey arrived about 45mins later Becky was still sat on the concrete in their drive. Upon seeing Baitoey she jumped into the car.
"Where to?" Baitoey said "I'll let you know" Becky said "Ok..." Baitoey said
Baitoey had noticed the weird machine she was holding and was a little concerned about her behaviour but reversed out of their drive anyway.
"How's your mum? And brother?" Baitoey asked "Fine. Left here." Becky replied "Good, it must be a difficult adjusting period for all of you." Baitoey continued "Yeah. Keep going straight" Becky said "I heard you're not coming back next semester, that you resigned?" Baitoey inquired "Turn right here" Becky said
Baitoey didn't usually pry but she truly wanted to understand what was going on with Becky. Everything that had happened after her dad died was so unlike Becky.
"So you're not coming back?" Baitoey continued "I'm not" Becky said firmly "Okay." Baitoey said
Baitoey took in a deep breath. She was preparing to say something that probably took a lot of courage.
"Becky, are you okay? A lot has changed about you recently and I'm worried about you" Baitoey said "Who are you to be worried about me? Left just after this light. You're not my sibling or partner or friend. We're not even coworkers anymore" Becky said bluntly
"I- I understand you're hurting right now and I want to do anything to help you but—" Baitoey said "Look, I just needed a lift. I didn't know it would come with all this conversation" Becky concluded
Just then Becky received a message and it was from Irin.
[OVER THE LINE APP] 🎸: Becky, I need to tell you something. Are you free this evening? It's really important. 🐶: What is it about? I'm out right now. 🎸: I need to tell you in person. Text me when you're home.
Baitoey continued driving the rest of the way in silence until they reached a middle sized house in the suburbs.
Becky got out of the car. "I'll wait for you here" Baitoey said "Ok" Becky said
Becky walked up the long drive till she arrived at the front door. Becky's heart suddenly began to beat out of her chest she wasn't naturally bold or daring but right now none of that matter because she was in fight mode. She had decided to fight to bring her father back and nothing was going to stop her. Her strong mindedness had taken over but her body was not on the same page.
She trembled as she knocked on the door. After a couple of minutes someone approached the door and it opened slowly. A woman was standing in the doorway with her eyes wide. She recognised Becky and Becky recognised her.
