Freen looked up at Heng as her face softened and her brows furrowed.

Heng knew instantly that was it but immediately regretted saying it in such a carefree manner.

"Hey Speedy?" Heng said "come with me to Singapore for a week."

Freen paused.

Freen had not been to Singapore since the summer of her graduation when her, Nam, Noey and Heng came to visit in preparation for Heng to move over permanently.

She remembered it as a happy time. Freen's parents died the year Heng graduated from university and Freen was just in her second year. The rest of her university experience was tough to get through understandably, so that summer meant a lot for her happiness. It was the beginning of her getting herself back. Singapore was a place that could heal her and with that mind Freen knew that may have been exactly what she needed.

Freen looked up at Heng then nodded in agreement.

The following day Heng arranged flights for both of them to travel to Singapore together. They arrived in the afternoon so Heng surprised Freen with an elaborate lunch spread of all of her favourite foods in a local restaurant. Freen smiled because though it didn't make her feel any better she knew how much Heng put into the whole affair.

When they finally arrived at Heng's house Freen was still very quiet. Heng grabbed her bags and threw them into his spare room.

"I can't wait to show you what we've done with the lab Speedy!" Heng said jumping onto the sofa in excitement. Freen fell onto the sofa beside him. She yawned.

The air in Singapore was hotter and more humid but that in a way had a detoxing effect on Freen, even though it also made her incredibly tired.

Freen was exhausted from the journey so decided to take a nap in Heng's spare room.
"I need to take a quick nap" Freen said
"Okay! But we have plans tonight so I'm waking you up at 5pm" Heng replied
"Plans?!" Freen exclaimed, "okay whatever" she continued.

Freen made her way to the room and slumped into bed. It felt like Freen was not only sleeping off the heat and detox but also the physical and emotional exhaustion of the last week. She fell so deep into sleep she snored.

After a few hours Freen was woken up by a light breeze, as her eyes opened the reflection of the moon beaming in through the large windows caused her to avert her eyes. The sun had already gone down and the temperature had dropped significantly. Freen shivered.

"You're up?" Heng said as he entered the room
"Yeah," Freen said as she attempted to wrap up
"Oh sorry, I opened the window because you were drenched in sweat" he said as he went over to close the window

Freen stretched her arms above her head she felt a little better. She had been able to for at least the last 8 hours not think about Becky or her fake marriage to Non.

"So, where are we going?" Freen asked
"It's better if you don't know" Heng laughed
"Right..." Freen said skeptically
"The car is coming in an hour. Get up, showered and dressed" he said looking at his watch

Freen could tell how excited Heng was to have her in Singapore. He had asked her to come several times but she had made herself too busy with the start of Diversity and then later when she became COO of MonSam.

They took the car to the city and arrived at a huge venue in Singapore. Lights were beaming into the sky from this tall building in the heart of the city. There was a gentle buzz and rhythm emanating from inside where music was blasting from. "Look where we are speedy!" Heng said with his arms spread upwards.

Freen took a moment to look around and when she finally looked up she saw the sign and smiled. They had arrived at Diversity's Singapore Branch.

They entered the building which looked bigger than the construction plans and pictures Heng had sent to Freen when he initially opened it up. Heng had turned this branch of Diversity into one that could rival the Bangkok branch.

Freen smiled taking in the atmosphere, proud of what they had been able to do together.

Heng led Freen into a private table at the back of the nightclub and ordered them drinks. Freen was happy but on occasion Heng caught her still spacing out, anxiously twiddling her fingers. Heng tapped Freen on her pinky to draw her attention.

"Remember when Diversity was just taking off? and I begged you to open one in Singapore? I basically had to bribe you" Heng laughed
Freen laughed "yeah with 2% of MonSam Pharmaceuticals" Freen said.
"That wasn't a fair trade" Heng replied
"No?" Freen quipped with a cheeky smile
"You've made it amazing Heng" she continued

He laughed, "It wasn't all me. Heidi was the perfect choice to take on the role of General Manager. She really is something"
"Yeah?" Freen asked
"Didn't you used to have a crush on her speedy?" Heng asked
