Freen looked up almost as if she knew what was coming next.
"Billy went to his place to look for him but found it ransacked. There was blood on the floor and he was nowhere to be found" Non said

"What? What do you mean? What are you saying?" Freen asked
"I think Heng has been kidnapped," Non concluded

Freen again struggled to process her emotions. She felt panic and fear but also thought it best to trap those emotions inside.
Freen stared at Non until he broke the silence.
"Freen, are you okay?" He said
"Uh... yes, I'm fine." Freen replied

Non leaned in.
"There's more. Billy is not just my cousin. My uncles side of the family are made up of military men. So Billy joined the army right after school. That side of the family are known to be a strong defence for the monarchy. Billy is looking for Heng as we speak and if there's anyone who can find Heng it's Billy. Billy told me Heng came to him because he was worried about your safety and as you are my wife to be naturally that's a threat on our family. I want you to know how seriously we're taking this and how we will stop at nothing to find your brother." Non said

Freen felt a comfort about Non's words because even though Non knew they had no romantic connection he still cared for her like a husband. "This was the power Grams was talking about" she thought.

"Thank you," Freen said
"I'm leaving some of my security team with you and have sent some to your grandmother too," he said
"Thank you" Freen said

Freen didn't like the helplessness that came with this whole situation but was grateful that Non would be a powerful ally in the future.
Freen looked down to see several missed calls.
"I'm going to call my grandmother," she said

[OVER THE PHONE]
⚜️: Hello Freen, are you okay? Are you safe?
🖤: Yes, I'm with Non
⚜️: Ok thank god, I was so worried.
🖤: I'm fine.
⚜️: Come home with Non please.
🖤: There's a lot of work to do. I've been away for 2 weeks.
⚜️: Freen, this is not the time to worry about the business.
🖤: It's better for me to worry about that Grams
⚜️: Ok, please stay safe. Don't do anything reckless or stupid
🖤: I don't do stupid or reckless things Grams
⚜️: I know, I love you. See you later.

Freen dropped the phone. That might have been the first time her grandmother had said she loved her since she was very young.

Freen readjusted herself and went back to work to Non's surprise.

"You're going to continue working today?" Non asked
"I have a lot to do," Freen said
"Okay. I'll leave them with you. I'll call you if there are any updates with Heng" Non said.

The moment Non left the room Freen slumped in her chair and tears began to fall. Her mind was strong but her body could not lie. She was terrified for Heng. Freen got up and wedged herself into a corner in the room. She began to have a panic attack when there was a knock at the door.

The door was unlocked and when it opened Freen was still rocking herself panicked by the overwhelming news of Heng's disappearance.
Someone entered the room and approached her but Freen was completely out of it.
"Noey?" Freen said
"It's okay." They said

They helped her up onto the sofa in her office and she laid down. They placed a cold compress on her forehead, gave her some calming pills and stroked her hair until she was calm enough to fall asleep.

Freen's thoughts had been so busy with so many different things over the last few weeks. Thoughts about everything that happened with Becky, the state of the business, her wedding that was approaching and now the threat to her family's safety. She snapped.

—BREAKING NEWS—
"Prince Non's Brother-in-law to be has gone missing in Singapore. He was last seen at the Singapore Changi airport last night. The Prince is very concerned for his Brother-in-law and using every means to ensure his safe return. As you know the King has no Heirs and so the prince is first in line for the thrown once his much older brother dies. Miss Chankimha will be the Queen of our country making her brother part of the royal family also. Their wedding is set to take place in just under a month but we suspect a delay may be in order depending on how the situation resolves."
📢

Freen finally opened her eyes. Her sleep interrupted by the breaking news. She looked calmer and more alert now. Her head was still on their lap but her eyes were fixed on the tv.

"Miss Chankimha, how are you feeling?"
Freen recognised that voice and it definitely wasn't Noey's. She looked over to see who had called out to her and as she suspected it was Becky.
