Chapter 93 🧪

-BANG BANG BANG BANG-
A series of explosions went off in the lower levels.

"Billy!" Non shouted
"Over here!" Billy screamed back.

A pair of purple genie stare into Non and Freen. Ravon launches himself at Freen tackling her to the ground and breaking  her eye contact.

"Ravon, what are you doing I've taken the anti-genie-magic-serum." Freen said
"I was told to be extra cautious with you." Ravon replied

Non ran over to Billy.
"What happened? Why did they take you?" Non asked
"I haven't actually seen Khun Sa and I get the feeling he's not aware I'm even here. A bunch of purple genies have just been asking me one question about Marlin's Weakneses. I mean how the hell should I know?"

Non forced the anti-genie-magic-serum down Billy's throat and untied his arms helping him out of the chair.

"That's disgusting. What is it?" Billy asked
"A gift from your boyfriend. It'll make sure you can't be influenced by purple genies." Non said
"He's not here is he?" Billy asked
"He wanted to come but no he's with Richie trying to get the serum into the water supply in order to quell the riots and chaos." Non said
"Thank god." Billy said

"Let's get to the others and get out of here." Freen said

"Heng, can you walk a little slower I'm carrying a 10kg weight on my back." Richie said
"Sorry." Heng said

"Here?" Heng continued
"Just a little higher, closer to the source" Billy said
Richie and Heng climbed up the stair on the biggest dam in Bangkok. They had nearly reached the top but heard sirens going off in the city. They knew exactly what those sirens were. There had been disaster tests a few years ago that involved testing those very sirens which were supposed to give a clear sign to the people that the city needed to be evacuated.

"Ok, here!" Richie said pointing into the dam
"Here!" Heng said carefully handing Richie the serum.
"Is this going to be enough?" Richie asked
"It's going to have to be." Heng answered

Richie tipped the serum into the very top of the water dam then grabbed a radio.
"Mission complete!" Richie said
"How long till it reaches the people?" General Wo replied
"About 20minutes" Richie replied
"Ok, we should be out of here by then." Wo replied
"What's going on over there? The disaster alarms have been triggered." Richie asked
"Don't worry we've got it covered. Just get to the rendezvous." Wo said
"Copy." Richie replied
"Is Billy safe?" Heng said

"I just got confirmation from Richie. Mission accomplished let's get out of here!" Wo said
"Not yet." Becky said
"Respectfully ms Armstrong, I'm getting my family out of here. You can stay." Wo said
"I'm staying too." Non said
"Non?" Freen said
"I'm staying." Non repeated

Wo relented.
"Wilden. I understand more deeply than you know what it is to be despised and seek power to solve it. Before we received Marlin there was no hope for happiness for my family. There was no hope in my love or what I wanted for myself. When I received power that changed. We were despised, looked down on and sacrificed. Just like you." Becky said
"What do you know of what I've been through?" Wilden replied
"I know." Becky said looking him straight in the eye
"She's awoken?" Wilden asked
"Yes." Marlin said

Wilden jumped back.
"And you haven't tried to kill me? Even though I destroyed your family? See that's the difference between the blessed and the cursed. You, the blessed always survive somehow. While we, the cursed have to snatch survival out of the hand of those that withhold it from us. You're weak." Wilden said
"I'll never allow the world to make me hard. I'll remain soft. Why? Because hardness will make us brittle. Easily Breakable." Becky said

"Becky." Freen said
Wilden looked over
"Well if it isn't my favourite project. I truly enjoyed tormenting your family for the last 50 years." Wilden said
Freen launched at Wilden but Marlin held her back.
"Careful, I'm the one in control here." Wilden said staring right into the eyes of Freen
Freen suddenly stood still.

"Marlin, did you hear me? Are you going to tell them what you did?" Wilden said
"She knows." Marlin said hanging his head
"Is that so?" Wilden replied

"Yes. I told her when Sarocha died." Marlin said
"Marlin." Becky warned
"She should know." Marlin said
Marlin turned to Freen.
"I made a deal with Wilden to keep Rebecca safe. We struck a deal. I vowed not to reveal the truth of the seed he planted in exchange for peace between us for the rest of Rebecca's life. So when you said it was you who needed to impress me I knew that truly it was me who needed to ask for your forgiveness." Marlin said

"Freen?" Becky said
Freen was frozen. Becky went over to check on Freen.
Freen launched at Becky suddenly. Becky tried her best to restrain her.
