Ravon coughed, "My prince, you have a lot to do today."
"Oh I do?" Becky replied
" Urmm yes, my prince." Ravon said
"Ah ok. Let's go!" Becky jumped up.
Becky followed Ravon into the courtyard where they took an envoy to the edge of the city. When Becky exited the transport envoy she looked around to find nothing but desert.
"Urmmm... you haven't brought me here to kill me have you?" Becky asked
"Haha, no my prince. We're here for ... that!" Ravon said pointing towards an oncoming envoy.
The envoy emerged from behind a hill of sand. Out came a group of humans with an obnoxious air about them. They were loud and rude. Truly the worst type of representation of human kind, not criminal or murderous but completely ignorant. The loudest among them stepped forward with all of his mess.
"Show us around lad! That's what we're here for right?" He said
Becky looked over at Ravon, "really?"
Ravon mounted the envoy and beckoned Becky beside him.
After a couple of hours fielding off obnoxious comments Becky was spent. She had spent the entire day on this excursion. Thank god this tour was over. The sun had set an Becky was conscious she may have been running out of time. Marlin had said she only had a day.
"Let's get back" Becky said
"Yes my prince" Ravon said
"I don't have a lot of time" Becky muttered
"My Prince?" Ravon asked
"Nothing, let's go!" Becky replied
Ravon and headed back into the city.
As they approached the city there was a cloud of smoke above the palace. Ravon and Becky sped into the the palace and back into the throne room where they found The King and Wilden in a standoff. Beside them lay the body of a dead purple genie.
"MY SON IS DEAD!!" Wilden shouted
"Wilden, I warned you about provoking and aggravating the situation." The king replied
"Move aside Mardin." Wilden said
"I cant do that." The king said
"It's a life for a life." Wilden said
Wilden had secretly instructed his men to ambush the king. They jumped out all of a sudden knocking over his crown which is the vessel that housed his essence. When it dropped his power fell and Wilden took that opportunity to stab the king in the heart.
"Now watch how useful these humans will be" Wilden said as he grabbed the human envoy and faded away.
Becky was stood completely still in shock. The king beckoned her over and with a push from Ravon she was jolted out of it. She rushed to his side.
"Come close, listen to me carefully, I'm bound by magic and can only say this to one person once," the king said
"Yes." Becky said
"Wilden is going to try and conquer the human world. You must not let him. What he doesn't know if that the fate of humans and genies is inextricably linked so if we destroy them we will destroy ourselves. The promise Queen Navaur made to Aur Jadui Chirag was the beginning of why genies are not able to lie. That promise was made by blood and bound by magic. In destroying the humans we will destroy ourselves. This is the true reason we must seek peace with the humans and a truth only passed down to kings in our kingdom as well as in theirs. I also did not understand it at first why we had to commune with them and entertain them. It seemed like an unfair or unbalanced relationship. Then I realised the gift we receive by communing with the humans and you will too. Once you have protected and befriended the humans for long enough you will finally see their beauty and innocence. I know you don't see it now but you will find one that changes your mind. Promise me you'll stop him." The king said as the remainder of his strength left
Becky knelt by his body shocked.
Suddenly Becky's body started to phase in and out of that reality. Becky did not want to go back yet. The story felt unfinished. She tried to concentrate and hold on.
Suddenly she heard a voice. It was Freens.
"Becky wake up please!" Freen said
"She's resisting, which is not a good idea" Marlin said
Becky's eyes shut and she saw a white light then suddenly started to see flashes of memories of her past life until she settled on a memory. It was a memory of what looked like her and Freen. She looked angry and suddenly jumped at Freen stabbing her several times. She then grabbed Freen by the neck and slit her throat. Blood splattered across her face. The look in her eye was cold and vicious and she did not recognise herself.
In that instant Becky was jolted back to reality.
"Are you okay?" Freen said caressing her cheek
Becky looked up at Freen startled then pushed her hand away. She began to rub her eyes and body frantically.
"Becky! Calm down! Becky it's me" Freen said
