They both stared at Freen anticipating the conclusion of the story.

"We slept together" Freen said.
Freen's face hardened
"But the moment it was over she became cold again. Then in the middle of the night I found her rustling through my things" Freen concluded
"SHE CAME TO STEAL YOUR STUFF?!" Nam asked
"Kind of" Freen replied

Now finishing up their lunch the waitress came to pack up their plates. All that remained on the table was a bottle of wine and their wine glasses.

"Kind of?" Noey asked
"Look it doesn't matter. That's unforgivable. I'm so sorry Freen but I'm never letting that girl near you again." Nam said
"Calm down P'Nam. Freen that doesn't make sense to me. I know Becky, she's a sweet girl. She would never do something like that." Noey said
"Well she did" Freen concluded

Just then Nam's alarm went off.
"Oh I need to go. I have a night shoot today" Nam said as she got up
"What? How am I getting home?" Noey asked
"Call a taxi" Nam said
"Whatever, make sure you're early tomorrow" Noey said
"Fine" Nam replied sprinting off

Noey and Freen sat at the table a little longer talking and finishing their drinks and then they parted ways.

Becky had now been waiting for an hour. Every time the bell on top of the door rang she looked up to check who came in.

The air in the coffee shop was filled with a strong but sweet coffee smell. Becky was sat on the table right next to the door where she could see out of the window over the road.

She picked up her phone to check for messages. Baitoey still had not responded to her text message. Becky placed her phone down disappointed but still determined to wait as long as it took.

She had been coming here everyday this week in order to meet Baitoey and so far had spent the time alone every time. She didn't have much hope for today either but thought if she was persistent eventually she would be able to apologise to Baitoey.

-RING RING-
The door chimed open.

Becky was scared to look up once again. She had developed anxiety through anticipation and disappointment over the last few days.

You could hear her heart beating out of her chest. Her knees were basically knocking together. Becky was nervous.

She looked up.

In front of her was Baitoey looking down at her with a blank expression. Without a word Baitoey sat down at the table and crossed her arms.

"Thank you for coming" Becky said
"I didn't come. I'm here to get a cup of coffee and leave. But seeing you sat here was rather pitiful. I decided to put you out of your misery" Baitoey said
"Thank you anyway" Becky said

"I wanted to apologise for the way I've been treating you. It wasn't fair to you. I did know you liked me and took advantage of that. I'm truly sorry." Becky said

Baitoey readjusted her arms and sighed.
"Is that all?" Baitoey said
"Urmm.. I don't know, is there something specific you want to address?" Becky said
Baitoey burst out in laughter then steadied herself to Becky's surprise.
"No, I forgive you" Baitoey said

Becky was taken back. Baitoey smiled.

"I was never angry at you. Just worried. When I received messages from you apologising to me I was relieved more than anything because it meant you were back to being you. That's what mattered the most to me. I already know that wasn't the really you." Baitoey said
"Really?" Becky teared up
"Yes" Baitoey smiled

"I was just playing hard to get ha!" Baitoey continued
"Thank you." Becky said
"And about me liking you... you don't have to feel guilty. I think you're great Becky but when I saw Freen hug you tightly the day you got back from London I realised something. I realised that there's a person that you love a lot and that loves you back and that makes me happy for you." Baitoey said smiling at Becky sincerely.

"...uh yeah" Becky said
She was sure Freen no longer loved her but was equally sure how much she loved Freen. She had began making amends to the people she had hurt whilst she was grieving starting with her Ma and Richie and now Baitoey so the last person on the list was Freen.

"I think you're amazing too Baitoey. But if I'm honest with myself, I've been in love with Freen since before the day you and I met." Becky said
"If I'm honest I think I knew that the moment I saw you together" Baitoey said

Becky finally felt a little bit of relief.
"Thank you" she said
"So, let's be friends?" Baitoey said
"Well you're a little older than me" Becky said
"Then I'll consider you a little sister" Baitoey said

Becky smiled. Baitoey smiled.

"Can you clear the chairs over to the right side!" Nam shouted.

Nam was standing in the doorway of a big hall. Across the back wall were lettered balloons that spelt out "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOEY!"

Guest had started arriving which made Nam even more nervous. Her voice got louder and more aggressive. "Move those chairs!!" She said

Nam was the type of person who deeply cared for her friends and she showed that best through how much she took on their stuff as if they were her own.

"P'Namy stop shouting." Noey said
"People have already started coming in" Becky said
"Nam" Noey said
"Fine. Whatever, I'm going to get Freen's present" Nam rolled her eyes
"...It's MY birthday..." Noey said
