Freen places a final soft kiss on Becky's  forehead and slumps onto the bed beside her.

Becky got up and entered Freen's bathroom. After a few moments she came out, now in her shirt. She got into bed and immediately turned over to face the wall. Freen was unsure what to do. She was petrified. "Did Becky regret that?" She thought.

Freen felt incredibly self conscious all of a sudden but worked up the courage to place her hand on Becky's shoulder. "Are you ok?" She asked.

Becky did not respond.

Freen removed her hand in an attempt to not make Becky feel any more uncomfortable. She turned her body upwards and looked up at the ceiling.

"Let's go to bed" Becky said
"Ok" Freen replied

Freen of course could not sleep. She stared at the ceiling thinking for hours into the night. Suddenly Freen felt a shift in weight on the bed and slammed her eyes shut.

It was Becky. Becky quietly got up from the bed and tip toed into Freen's bathroom. After a few minutes Becky emerged from the bathroom and tip toed into Freen's closet.

Becky brought out her phone to use the torch on the back. She searched for the blue bottle she had seen previously on Freen's dresser but could not find it.

Becky stopped to think for a moment then opened the first drawer. There it was, the last piece of Marlin's essence. Becky's eyes lit up in the blue light as she grabbed the bottle.

Suddenly, the light came on and Freen was standing in the doorway. "Becky, are you okay?" Freen said.

Freen looked straight at Becky's face before her eyes made their way down to Becky's hand which was clutching the perfume bottle.

"I thought you were asleep" Becky said
Freen's expression softened, "I can explain" Becky said

Freen and Becky were now sat on the head of the bed facing each other. You could tell in Freen's expression that she was interested to know what was going on.

"It all started with Richie's accident" Becky said
"What happened?" Freen leaned in
"After Richie's accident, my mother told me something about our family history. Something that's going to be a little hard to believe but just trust me" Becky said
"I trust you" Freen said grabbing Becky's hand into her own.

"Generations ago, our family was blessed with a genie called Marlin" Becky said
"What do you mean?" Freen replied
"Like the magical being who lives in a lamp that grants wishes" Becky answered
"Right..." Freen replied

"Somewhere along the way we lost our genie and found out that he had been split into 7 essences. This is one of them." Becky continued holding up the bottle.

Freen received the bottle from her father and was confused how it could have belonged to Becky's family. Further more, Becky could have just asked her about it.
"So you wanted to steal it instead of asking me?" Freen said

Becky paused.

"I was willing to do anything in order to bring my father back" Becky replied

Freen thought for a moment about the events of that night. She began to doubt Becky's intentions for coming over and had finally determined why Becky felt different to her. Becky had come intending to seduce her and use her to create an opportunity to steal the essence. Freen was incredibly hurt. She had never felt a pain as deeply as the one she now had in her chest. When Becky told her she had moved on with Baitoey she was heartbroken but still carried a torch of hope in that she had not confessed her true feelings to Becky.

But now she had, and Becky had used her to get what she wanted just like everyone else.

Freen withdrew her hand from Beckys. The light in Freen's eyes that Becky had ignited the moment she saw her had left and only a coldness remained.

"I think you should go" Freen said
"Freen..." Becky replied
"Take it" Freen said, "it belongs to your family anyway right?"

Becky had never seen Freen so cold. She was colder than the morning she kicked Becky out of her house and colder than the day she snatched her hand away from Becky in the Hann Gardens. This felt different. This felt final.

Becky picked up the rest of her clothes and left.
