Khun Sa called a press conference in the center of the city to give his victory speech, and thousands of people gathered to hear him speak. He appeared on stage as the crowd fell silent as he began to speak.
"Good people of this great country," he said in a booming voice. "I have been working tirelessly for the leaders of this country for years similar to many of you. But when my father died a few months ago I realised how disposable our family was to them. Much like you I have been diligent and hard working and even put my own personal feelings aside many times for the good of all. I've now come to realise that not one person or family is better than another. Like the royal family would have you believe. I stand before you today to reveal a secret that has been kept hidden from the people for centuries. A secret that will change the course of history in Thailand."
The crowd murmured in anticipation, wondering what he was about to say.
"As some of you may already know, I have been known as a criminal for many years, what you didn't know is that my family and I have been working for the royal family for generations. We were their dirty little secret. For what you ask? A tool to keep the people under control, docile and oblivious. As well as a thriving criminal world the royal family also used the powers of genies to help them stay in power. Granting them wealth, influence, prestige and honour. No one family should have all that power right?" Khun Sa said
The crowd jeered.
"You may be thinking I'm making this up but I will show you irrefutable evidence. In my possession, I have a genie. And not just any genie, but a purple genie, the most powerful kind of genie there is. Wilden!"
The crowd gasped in awe and amazement as purple smoke began to fill the air.
Wilden popped out.
"It's time to take back our independence and autonomy from those that seek to rob us from it." Khun Sa jeered
And with that, Wilden began to cast a spell. The crowd fell silent then their emotions turned dark.
The people of Thailand were caught up in a frenzy, and it was clear that Khun Sa had succeeded in his plan. Wilden had induced strong emotions in the crowd and everyone watching at home. The riots began almost immediately, as people turned their emotions against the royal family. The streets were filled with angry mobs, shouting and screaming for the King to be overthrown.
The palace was surrounded by thousands of protestors, and the King's family was forced to flee into hiding. The army tried to quell the riots, but they were vastly outnumbered. The situation was spiraling out of control, and it seemed like nothing could be done to stop it.
"Non, get the rest of our family to the safe house. I'll distract them." The King said
"Understood." Non said reluctantly
"Be careful." The King said
"You too." Non said
The King smiled as he watched his little brother and the rest of their family flee.
"Billy, I'll need to get to the balcony." The King said
"Right" Billy said leading him through the fires started by rioters.
When the King got to his balcony he stood behind the mic to speak while Billy watched on.
The fire had spread all the way over here and the wooden barrier was losing integrity.
"You don't have long, the balcony isn't stable" Billy said
"I don't need long" the kings said.
He turned to the crowd below to speak.
"People of Thailand..." he said
And in that moment there was a gun shot. Billy rushed to pull the king to the ground for cover but a beam burnt off the entrance, blocking his path.
Billy looked up after the smoke cleared in time to see another shot get off and hit the king in the chest. The king fell forward off the balcony into the street below.
