Heng was coming to. Everything was blurry. Voices everywhere. A clock sat on the table in-front of him reading 11:30 at night.

White foam walls surrounded him, no more than 10 feet both ways. Other than the clock in the middle of the floor along with the cold metal chair he was sat on, the room was vacant. Heng felt like he was in a psych ward.

He began to search his memory for the events of the last few hours, but he drew a blank. A piercing pain ran through him starting from the back of his head where he had just noticed he was bleeding from. The pain surged through his body and ended at his wrists that were cuffed to the metal chair.

There was sound behind the door, then a bearded man with glasses entered with a woman following closely behind him. The man spoke quietly but clearly, "Hello, Heng."
Heng looked up barely maintaining his consciousness and smiled.
"Hello Stranger" Heng said

"Any updates?" He asked
"None, we've been watching the family for the past few weeks and aside from erratic behaviour birthed from grief, there's been no sign of our possessions." She replied
"Keep watching them, they either have it or know where it is" the man said

He walked over towards Heng and stood in-front of him.
"I just got back from London. And you'd imagine my surprise when I was told there there was still no progress. You're lucky to be alive." He said
"I am?" Heng replied with a grin

The man begun to get frustrated at Heng's usual nonchalant attitude.
"Where are the essences?" He shouted
"Hey Butch, can you lower your voice? I have a wicked headache." Heng replied.
The man grabbed Heng by his shirt aggressively.

"I told you I was working on it" Heng said
"It's been 2 months and no progress. Time is running out" He insisted letting Heng go
"But is that my fault?" Heng replied

"Heng, you know I'm usually very fond of your wit and humour but after the unfortunate events that happened few weeks ago, I'm sure you know that this is not the time for jokes." He said
The bearded man pulled up a chair in-front of Heng and grabbed his knees firmly.
Heng jolted in shock.

"How highly do you value your left leg? Too highly to continue testing me right?" He asked
"Actually, I've always rather preferred my right leg." Heng replied
The man ripped Heng's left trouser and was handed a saw by the woman standing behind him.

"No we're talking!" Heng said
The man slapped him across the face, blood splatted out of his mouth onto the white walls.
The man began to shake looking at the blood splatter. He dropped the saw.

The woman handed him a black napkin to clean his hands and begun to wipe down the walls a spray them with white paint.
"How am I supposed to be scared of you when you're scared of a little mess?" Heng laughed
The man turned around to look at Heng with contempt.

"And what about your little sister? Do you think she'll be scared of me?" He said
Heng's expression sobered.
"Do not threaten my sister" Heng said firmly

He turned to exit the room as Heng watched on. Panic rose in Heng's heart. Heng was fine with taking a beating but would be absolutely devastated if harm came to his sister.

Just a moment had passed when the bearded man reentered the room with an iPad with the news on.
"Your sister is the future queen?!" He said
"I thought you knew" Heng laughed
The man slammed the iPad against the wall and exited the room.

Heng heard a few whispers outside the room. He knew that killing anyone attached to the royal family would have steep consequences for them. After a few minutes Heng stopped hearing voices. He heard several cars start and heard them drive off.
