Chapter 29

I was walking with Bear outside on compound grounds... Bear was growing like crazy in only 2 weeks he had doubled in size... He was so smart and so easy to train he loved to do anything you would ask of him... He stuck to like glue and i didn't bother putting him on the leash anymore... I still had it on me but never on him... Bear was a tough pup... Nothing seemed to faze him... The other day i was walking him when Thor dropped in from the sky and he just ran over to him to investigate... Everyone loved him and he was really a nice distraction for everyone... 

I had caught Tony slipping him treats while no one was looking but i just kept my mouth shut just loving that the man who didn't want him was doting on him every chance he got... 

Construction in my room came along great and i loved the kitchen we picked out... The already put in doors between the bedroom and what would become our living space... Steve wanted to pull the big walk-in closet in the room, so we had more space but i had objected... The room was big enough and i had other dreams for that space... But i made the excuse and asked him if it was okay to turn it into an office for me... "Anything you want princess." He had said smiling... 

I walked back into the compound and when i entered the kitchen i smiled as Steve stood there waiting for me... "Get your coat princess we are going to shop for furniture..." He said and i let out a little squeal... Nat offered to watch Bear and Steve took my hand and after we stopped to get my leather jacket we walked to his bike in the garage, and we drove off... I smiled holding on to Steve... I was absolutely loving this... 

We arrived at some furniture stores and walked through... It was overwhelming because there was so much choice, and Steve was no help because he kept saying "Whatever you want princess..." After i had said that what i wanted was for him to give his opinion it went quicker and at the end, we had picked out everything we needed... 

"Steve..." I whisper blushing and he turns to me and smiles... "Yes princess..." He said smirking... "Can we get another bed to..." I mumble and he smiles... He took my hand dragging me to the bed section of the store... I giggle as we tested matrasses... "Why are you giggling?" Steve asked and i smirked... "Not too long ago i did this with Bucky..." I said smirking and he looked at me shocked... I laughed at his reaction... "Did you now..." He growled and i nodded... "Yes..." I said smirking... "Hmm i think Buck and i need a little talk..." Steve said and i laughed again... 

I got of the bed and after testing a few more beds we choose one... Steve arranged to have it all delivered and put together in our little apartment... We then went and shop for kitchen supplies and i was like a kid in the candy store...  When i was done and Steve once again set up delivery. We walked out and got back on the bike and to my surprise Steve stopped at the diner and we had dinner there... 

I just loved every moment with Steve, and he was so much more loving and affectioned then i ever had imagined... We walked into the kitchen at the compound and Bear ran over to me and i sat down on the ground hugging him tightly cooing that i missed him so much... "Cleo..." A soft voice said and i smiled looking up at Peter... "Yes Peter..." I said smiling and he blushed a little... "Mr. Stark told me i had to ask you if MJ could join us for dinner tomorrow..." He said blushing... 

I stood up and smiled. "Of course, Peter i think if i speak for all if i say that we are very excited to meet her..." I said and he blushed again... Steve, Bucky and Sam chuckled but ignored it... Peter was nervous and i could see he wanted to ask something else so i took him out in the hallway... "What is it Peter..." I ask and he looked at the ground... "Well although i am excited for you all to meet her to... "Mr. Barnes, Mr. Wilson and Mr. Rogers keep making jokes about scaring her and i was wondering..." He mumbled and i interrupted him by letting out a sigh... I put my hands on his shoulders...

"I got your back kid... Leave them up to me..." I said and gave him a little wink... Peter was only staying with us when his aunt May was out of town. She was on vacation and Peter was staying with us for 2 weeks... He probably could stay alone at his place, but Tony insisted he stayed here to keep an eye on him... He brought a whole different dynamic to the group and Nat and i felt protective over him... We felt a bit motherly over him and we all knew Tony acted like a dad to him... 

Peter excused himself to do homework and i walked back into the kitchen... I walked over to Sam, Bucky and Steve... "Listen up you 3 because i am only going to warn you once..." I said and they all looked at me with a bit of shock in their eyes... "Leave the kid alone... He is bringing his girlfriend over for dinner tomorrow and you 3 are going to be on your best behavior... If not... There will be consequences..." I said and Nat chimed in that she agreed with everything i just said... 

"Oh, come on we were just having some fun..." Bucky said... "Yeah just some harmless teasing no need to go all mom mode on us..." Sam said smirking... "I am warning you 3... I am not opposed to making you 3 my puppets for the day tomorrow..." I said and all 3 looked at me in horror... while Nat just chuckled... "We will behave princess..." Steve said and he got punched on both sides, but they all agreed... "I mean it Steve because that thing i do that you like so much..." I said staring him in the eyes and he swallowed... I won't do it any time soon if you dont behave..." I said grinning and he took in a sharp breath... "I promise princess..." He said his voice hoarse...

I walked to the kitchen to get myself a drink and i chuckled when Sam and Bucky were asking Steve what the thing was... He refused to answer and the kept bugging him... Nat appeared next to me smirking... 

"You can do that? Make them your puppets?" She asked and i chuckled... "I can do it with one person i know that for sure... but 3 at once i dont know... It would be utterly draining that is for sure... But hey... They dont know that..." I said smirking and Nat laughed... "I like this side of you... You are going to be a great mom one day..." She said and i blushed...

"Steve it is time for Bear's walk..." I said to avoid the whole baby conversation with Nat...  Steve stood up... Sam made a whipping sound and Steve told him to shut up... Steve didn't really like me going out alone after dark. Not even on the compound grounds so we had made it our routine to go on an evening walk together and i absolutely loved it... 

We walked hand in hand Bear running around us and i Steve pointed out some stars and i smiled... When we got back inside, we turned to our room for the night to have some alone time...
