Chapter 55

"Oeh Oreo's..." I say throwing them in the basket Steve is carrying. "That is what you needed...?" He says smirking and nod. "Yes..." pouting at him. I smirk and shake my head... "No... I also need vitamins... Crackers... Peppermint things and ginger... Water bottles... Some ointments to rub on my belly at night... Antacids... And maybe we can go to a bookstore for some books?" I say giving him my best puppy eyes. 

Steve chuckles and nods. "Sure, princess everything you want you get..." He says and i giggle... "You could get in trouble with that captain..." I say smirking and he chuckles again... "He pulls me in and kisses me. "You're worth getting in trouble for princess..." He murmurs into the kiss and i blush with a small shy smile on my face. I keep dragging him through the store and get everything i needed and Steve just walked along... I got some more snacks before we walked to check out and paid. 

We arrived at the bookstore and i smiled as Steve seemed to be just as interested in pregnancy books as i was... An hour later we walked out the store with the biggest stack of books... "How are we going to get this into the compound without anyone seeing and finding out..." I ask and Steve smirks. "Dont worry i will get that done..." He says and i smile as he opens the door for me and helps me in the car. 

We drive to the compound and Steve only lets me carry the light stuff... He grabs a few bags and puts the books in there, so they are hidden for prying eyes. He takes my hand, and we walk inside. "Hey where have you two gone off to..." Bucky says walking up to us as he sees us in the hallway... "Just did some shopping..." Steve said smiling. "Oh yeah... What did you buy... Bucky says and tries to peak in the bag but Steve notices and moves the bag so he can't see... 

"How is your shoulder feeling Bucky?" I ask and he smiles... "Almost fully healed doll so i am good..." He said smirking and i chuckled. It was amazing how fast they healed. Steve his wound had closed already to, and he said he didn't feel anything anymore but i had ordered them both to take it easy for at least for a week... But i have to admit that was more for selfish reasons. It would mean him not sneaking out of bed to train early in the morning... No teaching classes and i have him for myself for a week.

"But what are you guys hiding? You two are acting strange..." Bucky said smirking and i buried my face in Steve. "Nothing Buck... See you later..." Steve said and i giggled as he pulled me away... "I will find out..." Buck yelled after us and i groaned... 

We closed the door of our apartment behind us and i groaned... "That is going to be a problem..." I mumbled and let out a sigh... Steve chuckled and brought the books to the bedroom and i put everything else away... "So, what are your plans for today princess?" He asks and i  shrug my shoulders... Steve walks over to me and pulls me in a hug and lifts me up. I wrap my legs around his waist... and cup his face kissing him until we both are out of breath.

"Can we just stay home and just relax... Just the two of us... And i cook us a nice dinner tonight in our own kitchen... I only cooked for Sarah and the boys here... I want to cook for you..." I mumble and Steve smiles. "Sounds perfect..." He murmurs and kisses me again... "Cuddling and movies?" I whisper and he smiles nodding... 

"Jarvis tell everyone they are on their own tonight for dinner..." I say and Jarvis confirms and spreads the message. "Couch or bed?" Steve asks and i point to the couch... He walks me over and i giggle when he puts me down. "Just stay here... dont move..." He says before walking off... 

Steve returns a few minutes later with pillows and blankets and i smile as he puts the around me like i am in some sort of nest... He walks off again and comes back with tea, milk and Oreo's making me giggle. He puts the stuff down and i open my blanket for him and as soon as he has sat down i get comfortable cuddling into him and arranging the blankets in a way that i am all snug and happy. 

We pick a movie, and he wraps an arm around me... "Do you think the baby could inherit some of our ability's..." I whisper and Steve looks at me shocked... "Never crossed my mind... I was still thinking about nurseries and boy or girl... But i know the serum is in my DNA so yeah it is possible... Maybe a good thing to ask Bruce in our next checkup..." Steve whispers and i nod. 

"Where did you want to create a nursery...?" Steve whispers and i chuckle... "My home office can be turned into a nursery and when the kid gets older, we can look to another solution... Maybe a place outside the compound... Maybe we have to leave anyway... I could understand the others not wanting to have a baby around." I murmur and Steve plants a kiss on my head... "I dont think they would mind princess..." He whispers in return and i sigh... 

"When do you want to tell them anyway..." Steve mumbles and i sigh... "When i am 12 weeks..." I whisper and he groans... "That is 4 more weeks..." He whines and i chuckle. "Wauw not just a pretty face..." I say smirking and he rolls his eyes... "This is going to be torture..." He mumbles and i giggle... "Toughen up captain... Just see it as a mission... A mission to keep your mouth shut for the next few weeks... Oh and maybe we stay home i Tony throws a party... I think me not drinking will tell Nat immediately something is up..." I say letting out a chuckle.
