Chapter 36

"Cleo..." The others say when i appear in the big open space of the warehouse... equipment is everywhere and i have to fight the urge to start screaming when i see Steve's shield standing against his mission bike...

"Cleo? what are you doing here... Steve is going to kill us..."  Sam says and i give him a death stare to shut him up... "Steve is going to be the least of your problems... I just want to know one thing... Before we get to work... Who... Was supposed to have his back..." I growl trying to contain my anger because seeing the shield in the corner just hit me like a brick in the face...

I can hear the door open and close behind me as no one answers me and they are just looking at the floor... "Who! Was supposed to have his back... I am only giving one chance to confess before i go poking around..." I growl... "I was doll..." I hear behind me and i turn around and Bucky is looking at me... 

I walk up to him and Nat steps in front of me... I scoff... "Move..." I say and Nat shakes her head... "Dont make me..." I growl and she steps aside looking at me in shock, but my anger is taking over and i dont care anymore... Bucky looks at me as i step in front of me... "You better hope and pray i will find him so help me god... Because i will make you feel the pain i am having right now..." I growl and i can see him swallow... "Doll..." He whispers but i hold up my hand... 

"I am sorry Buck but right now i need to be angry... It is either this or break down..." I whisper and he nods... "I can take it..." He whispers giving me a small smile and i nod... "So, catch me up..." I say looking around the room... They all stay quiet... "Well?" I ask and Tony steps forward... "I am sorry Cleo... We dont know where to look... The tracker in his suit is off... We searched his last location and the surrounding areas but nothing... It is like he has disappeared in thin air..." Tony says and i sigh... I look at the shield and bike again and i feel my anger start to waver and desperation sets in...

"Look i am sorry okay... I know i am being unreasonable... I know i was out of line to threaten... I just need him back..." I say my voice wavering... "He promised me he would come back... I gave him the necklace he gave me... So, he had to come back to give it back... He promised... We haven't had enough time... I need more time..." I say trying my best not to break down... and Tony steps in front of me and grabs me hugging me tight... "He had your necklace...?" He says and i look at him confused as he starts to chuckle... "He has her necklace..." He says looking around the room smiling but everyone keeps quiet and staring at the floor... I am now utterly confused as all i can feel is shame radiating from all of them...

It finally sinks in... "It has GPS...?" I whisper not knowing to be happy or feel utterly betrayed for Steve not telling me... For now, i would go with happy and Steve and i would have a talk when we would be safely back home... "Banner pull up coordinates for Cleo..." Tony says all excited as i just look shocked... 

"He didn't know how to tell you... He wanted to be able to find you if something would happen..." Nat whispers and i sigh of course she knew... "We will deal with you all trying to tag me like a dog later..." I say shaking my head as i feel so disappointed in people today... I walk to Banner as he pulls up the coordinates that say Cleo but are really Steve...  

A dot appears on the screen, and it is way out of the way of the Bunker... "How did he get there..." Nat says and i roll my eyes...  "I dont know let's go ask him..." I say my voice dripping with sarcasm and she looks at me with guilt over her face... Right now, i hate them all so much...

"We have to make a plan..." Bucky says and i look at the bike in the corner of the room... "I have a plan... Knock on the door and see what the fuck is going on." I growl... Wanda steps forward... "I know you are angry at all of us right now... I know that you are worried about Steve... But dont do this..." She whispers... I look at her... She knows my plan... But i also know she knows she can't stop me...  

"Your damn right i am angry... 1 You lose Steve... 2 It takes Steve to get lost for me to find out i am tagged like a freaking dog... 3 all of you seemed to know..." I say trying my best to rain in my anger, but it is no use... 

"You knew i hated the fucking bracelet... But he explained and i accepted it... And not one of you even bothered to tell me about the necklace... Giving me a choice about it... Or to tell Steve to tell me... So, i am sorry that i feel betrayed and right now i dont give a damn what you all think... I am going to get Steve... And when i know he is safe i will think what my next step will be... But right now, i can't even stand the looks of all of you... What happened to no more secrets... Is this your payback for me keeping my powers from you? Do i deserve this because of that... Because that is the only reason i can think off... Was i ever unreasonable when it came to my safety... Did i not lock myself away for 15 days in order to be safe when you were on a mission..." I say looking around the room... I am absolutely going off at them now and all they do is looking at the floor pissing me off even more...

"Cleo calm down..." Fury says and i look at him and i can feel he is just as surprised as i am... "I dont have fucking time for this..." I mumble... "Freeze..." I say making everyone except for Fury unable to move... "Cleo...Dont go alone..." He says and i sigh... "I'll be fine... But right now... I dont trust them... Hell i dont even know if i trust Steve... All i know i need him back safe and sound... But after that i dont know what i am going to do..." I say and he sighs... I grab Steve's bike and a GPS device... "Dont worry when i am far enough away it will wear off..." I say and start the bike... Thank God Steve taught me how to ride a bike... I think to myself... To my surprise Fury presses the button opening the big door and I give him a nod before i drive out...
