Chapter 33

I dont know how long i have slept but Steve is no longer in bed and Bear has sneaked into his place... I smile and he lifts his head tilting it looking at me... "Hey buddy... Dont let dad see you lying in bed... Or both of us will be in trouble..." I say giggling and pull him closer, and he snuggles into me... 

"Dad already knows..." I hear and i look up to see Steve sitting on the couch and i giggle and blush profusely as he stands up and walks over to us... "How are you feeling princess..." He asks as he crawls into bed and lays down next to me and Bear and starts stroking Bear's head... "I am good..."  I whisper and smile holding on to Bear because i dont want Steve to get him out of bed...

"Cleo... Why didn't you tell us that going out would be exhausting..." He whispers and i sigh burying my head in Bear... "Why didn't you tell us that you block us out the whole day... We all thought you need to put it on... But it turns out you turn it off the whole day..." Steve says looking at me worried. 

"Normally i am fine Steve..." I mumble. "It was just the combination of a lot of people and alcohol... People get louder in their thoughts and emotions and that in combination with me getting less focused..." I say and Steve sighs... 

"Did i embarrass myself? Did i say something stupid?" I whisper and he smiles... "No princess... You said nothing shocking... The only one who was embarrassed was Bucky... You said he should keep his dirty thoughts to himself..." Steve says grinning and i groan... 

"Why dont you relax today princess..." Steve said and i smiled... "Steve... That is not necessary... I am fine now... On a normal day i have no problems and is it just like breathing... Something i do without thinking about it..." I whisper... 

"Please dont worry..." I whisper and i lean over Bear and kiss him making Bear throw a tantrum and we both laugh... "I thought he was not allowed on the bed..." I whisper and Steve chuckles...  "You dont remember?" He said and i shook my head looking at him confused... 

"We came home and i carried you to bed... You started crying because Bear looked so sad in his own bed... You wouldn't stop crying until i carried Bear in bed next to you..." Steve said smirking and i groaned... "I'm sorry..." I whisper... "It is okay princess... It was kind of cute..." Steve said and i smiled... 

"Did i do something else?" I whisper... Steve grinned and i groaned... "What did i do...?" I say letting out a sigh hoping i didnt make a fool of myself... He took my arm where the bracelet was still on my wrist... "Oh no... I didn't..." I groan and Steve starts laughing... hard... Tears are rolling down his cheeks... 

"You should have seen Tony's face... I dont know if he was annoyed or proud..." Steve said when he stopped laughing... "Well maybe next time he will think twice about putting a tracker on me..." I mumbled... 

"You yelled... It works... It works... They are here to save me...! When Tony walked in before you crawled into bed again with Bear and fell asleep..." Steve says smiling and i chuckled... "Okay that sounds kind of funny..." I whisper... "It really was..." Steve says and i sigh pushing myself up... 

"I need something to eat..." I say stretching myself out and Bear sits up looking at me... I give him some scratches behind his ear and a kiss on his head... "You go shower and get dressed and ill meet you in the kitchen..." Steve says giving me a quick kiss and i nod and smile.

I take a quick shower and get dressed before i make my way to the kitchen with Bear in tow... I smile as Steve is cooking me breakfast and when i walk in i smirk at the others who are sitting in the kitchen doing their own things... Nat looks rough and i chuckle and lift her hangover... She sits up and smiles at me... I direct Bear to his spot and sit down at the counter waiting for my breakfast... 

"Goodmorning Trouble..." Tony says and i smirk at him... "Hey at least we know it works..." I say and he smirks at me... "I didn't know you had it in you... But next time i will let you explain to Fury why your personal alarm goes off..." He says still smirking and i laugh... "Deal..." I say smiling... "Next time i will take the bracelet off of her before i put her to bed..." Steve chimed in... "That might even be a better idea..." I say... "It really is..." Sam said and they told me that everyone was woken up because a personal alarm going off means all hens on deck... 

"Oops sorry..." I say smirking and they all chuckle... "Seriously i thought Peter would be the one to do this one day..." Tony says shaking his head... "HEY!" Peter protests and we all laugh again... 

"Well i am sorry for causing trouble..." I say smirking and Steve puts a plate of food in front of me... "Thank you, babe..." I say smiling and i dig in... 

After i am done eating Steve takes my plate and cleans up and i just smile at him loving this caring side of him... We take Bear for a walk as i need some fresh air and all and all we have a relaxing day... 

Steve and i go to our room early wanting some alone time. We are cuddled up on the couch watching an old movie... Watching this old movie i realize how much of a culture shock waking up after 70 years must be and i cuddle into Steve more feeling incredibly grateful for having him with me now... 

"Steve?" I whisper and he looks at me... "I love you..." I say and he smiles. "Love you to princess..." I yawn and cuddle into him again and start to protest when Steve turns off the TV... He chuckles and lifts me up with him and carries me to bed... I dont protest anymore and i wrap myself around him and fall in a deep sleep again...
