Chapter 70

The evil grin comes closer and closer... I try to control my breathing... "This is not going to go the way you want it to Loki... I won't let them exchange me... I dont know what you want but i will not let them put others in danger just to protect me..." I say... Trying to make my voice sound as strong as possible... 

I can sense he wants to toy with me... I am not in danger just yet... He wants to figure me out... He is intrigued wondering why i am not scared... His disgust for me changes a bit and he seems to like me a little bit more... 

"Before you do what you want to do can i ask a question..." I say and this seem to catch him off guard... I just need to stretch time... Fury knows he is here... He will certainly send the other back to the compound... "Ask little human..." He says grinning... "Why are you and your brother so different..." I ask and this seems to have hit a sore spot... 

"Not my real brother..." He growls and i know i have him were i want him i can stretch this and hoping the others will come... I dont want to use my powers unless i really need to in case it works less, or not at all on him... If he can get out of my freeze i need to be prepared to use every second to get away... "Thor seems to think of you as his brother... He always tells us you are his brother... Talking about you two growing up..." I say and Loki rolls his eyes... 

"My brother is a fool..." He says and the evil grin appears again. "He might be a little bit..." I say searching for a nice word and Loki smirks... "Stupid?" He says and i laugh catching him again off guard... "Rough around the edges... Impulsive... for sure... But i dont think stupid... The same way i dont think you are pure evil..." I say and he looks at me once again trying to assess me... I can feel him rummage around in my brain but i am successful in blocking him out of what i dont want him to see... I can feel him wonder if i am really this simple creature... He knows something is up with me, but he can't put his finger on it... 

"Just ask Loki..." I say smirking and he looks at me confused... "Why isn't she scared... I am a god... She is just a tiny human... Something is off with her..." I whisper and he looks at me with wide eyes... 

Something clicks in his head and right before he makes me his puppet i yell... "Freeze..." And to my surprise he is unable to move... I take a few steps back, but he doesn't seem able to get out of it the only thing moving are his eyes and they look shocked... 

"Fury...?" I say lifting the phone to me ear... "Cleo! Cleo!  Are you okay?" He says and i sigh... "Other than high on adrenaline... Yeah i am fine... Please tell me the rest is on the way... I found something they are looking for..." I say and i can hear him let out a big sigh... "Yes... They are on their way..." He mumbles... "Did you need to toy with him for so long..." He says annoyed and a little bit angry... "Yes, because i did not know if it would work... I needed you guys closer just in case it didn't work on a fucking god..." I say raising my voice because now i am annoyed... 

"Fair enough... But now just get out..." Fury mumbles... and i sigh. "No... I can't... I know he is not moving as long as i am here... Just get the rest here i am good... Beside i am in his head... I can see his every step..." I tell Fury and hang up because he annoys me... I have Loki here frozen on the spot and he want to tell me what to fucking do... No thanks...

I look at Loki who follows my every move... "Just ask in your head... I can hear..." I say sitting down on a chair because i feel my energy draining keeping him under control... "I dont know Loki... But it is kind of funny... Here i am little human girl controlling this big supposedly scary god..." I say smirking... "Why Loki?" I ask but all of a sudden, the door flies open, and Thor walks in. 

"Sorry we are out of time little one..." I hear Loki think and i sigh... I dont know why but i would like to talk to him a little longer... He somehow intrigues me... "Lady Rogers are you okay?" He asks walking over to me and i nod... "I am fine Thor..." I sigh... "Do you want me to unfreeze him now or wait until the rest gets here..." I ask and he thinks about it. I chuckle as Loki says something stupid in his head... But this confuses Thor... "Sorry... Loki is quite funny if he is unable to kidnap me..." I say and Thor looks at me with a strange look on his face, but he shakes it off. 

"I am sorry my brother put you through this... Are you really okay... Is the baby okay...?"  He asks again and i smile at him... "We are okay... He didn't touch us..." I say and Thor seems relieved. I call over Bear and sit back down with Bear next to me as i stroke his head. 

We wait for another 10 minutes and Tony walks in in full suit... He removes his face part and looks at me and then at Loki... "Seriously... Why do we not bring you in the field again?" He asks and i sigh. "Because i am pregnant and i dont want to... I dont need that misery... Besides they come to me..." I say and Tony chuckles walking over to Loki and waving his hand for his face... 

"Tony stop annoying him... You still need to get him to a cell and i have to unfreeze him for that so i wouldn't get cocky..." I mumble and Tony looks at me... Right then the doors open and the rest walks in... I stand up and walk over to Steve immediately and wrap my arms around him as he cups my face... "Are you okay... You and the baby..." He says checking me all over with worry and anxiety in his eyes and i nod... He kisses me and that is when the adrenaline wears off and i feel my legs start to shake... "Somebody better take Loki because i am losing him..." I mumble and pass out...
