You were scared of the rain well...more like thunderstorms, loud ones especially.
Every time there was a thunderstorm, she would cling to her girlfriend, Scarlett as she provided a safe space and comfort.
Tonight, the storm was particularly heavy, and you were shaking with fear.
Her girlfriend held her close, stroking her hair and whispering assurances like "It's okay, you are safe with me." and "I'll protect you."
You easily relaxed into her warmth, feeling the fear slowly ease away. You knew that Scarlett would always be there for you, no matter what.
Through thick and thin.
You both slowly drifed away into sleep with the sound of droplets hitting the window.
