Dream huffed as Sapnap wrapped an arm around his shoulders, making him lean over a bit. He couldn't fight his smile, though. "Come on, let's get back to the car." George hummed, honestly just really wanting to go to sleep.
If the two weren't screwing around, he'd make one of them carry him so he could take a nap right then and there. Dream didn't say anything while they walked, getting a feeling that something bad was going to happen.
Sapnap sighed a bit to himself, knowing he was the only one still trying to chat. He decided to stop for now- it was clear the other two were tired in general. They were just a bit away from the car when Sapnap stopped walking, noticing something.
"Hold on- Is that-?" He started, George quickly grabbing his wrist and continuing to walk. "Don't stop, we don't want him to-" George was cut off by a yell from the person they were trying to avoid.
"Dream! I always knew you'd come right back to me." The guy yelled, grinning as Dream stopped walking. He took a deep breath before he continued to walk, telling himself to just leave. "Running away? Fucking coward. Scared that if you talk to me, you'll like me again?"
Dream stopped walking again, turning towards his ex. "Hey- Dream, come on, don't get involved with him." George tried, not wanting to risk Dream going through the shit he had already gone through.
Dream ignored him, crossing his arms as his ex and his small group walked over. "It's been a while, hasn't it? You should just come back to me. You know you're useless on your own." His ex hummed, reaching forwards.
"If you touch me, I'll kill you." Dream smiled, being entirely serious. "Geez, relax. You always escalate things. You guys see that? He needs serious help. Come back to me, Dream. I can help you." The group behind the man agreed.
Dream clenched his fists, reminding himself to just stay calm. He had to breathe, getting upset wasn't going to fix anything. After a bit more from his ex, he decided to stop ignoring it. "You cheated on me, remember? Why would I go back to someone who I can't trust?"
Dream kept smiling, knowing how to piss off the other man. His ex always spilled more lies when he was angry. "I told you, she was my friend. We never did anything." He lied.
"You're a liar. You know, sometimes- sometimes I missed when we were together." Dream admitted. "Sometimes I would want to go back to the times we would just be in love." He continued, his ex cutting in. "So come ba-" Dream cut him off.
"So I wrote a list. I wanted to make sure I never forgot why I left." He grabbed his phone, opening his notes. "10, you're a selfish prick. 9, you're cynical and only take what you want." Dream started reading off the list.
His ex couldn't figure out what to say in response. "8, you're the dumbest fucking guy I've ever dated." Dream seriously didn't know what he saw in his ex back then. "7, you talk yourself up to be some big deal until you're naked. 6, you lasted for, well, 6 seconds and I had to fake being done as well." Dream didn't care about keeping those kinds of things secret, especially not when the dude was trying to act all cool.
Sapnap put a hand on Dream's shoulder, noticing how upset about it Dream was getting despite how well he hid it. "5, you're a toxic asshole. 4, I can't trust anything you do or say. 3, you've still got all your mommy issues without even trying to change that." He kept going. "2, I spent 2 fucking years dealing with you and your bullshit. And last but not least, 1, I hate the fact that you somehow managed to make me love a fucker like you."
His ex grinned. "So you do love me. Come on, just come back to me! I've changed." Dream scoffed. "Bullshit. Your friends must be terrible if they really think that you, an alcoholic who depends on his father's money, are cool." Dream sighed, shaking his head. "You're a pathetic piece of shit." The blonde smiled at him and started walking off again, immediately punching him when one of his wrists was grabbed.
"Didn't I tell you not to fucking touch me?" Sapnap and George quickly held him back, knowing that he wouldn't hesitate to kill the other man. "Dream, come on- Let's go." They had to drag Dream away, the blonde being too stubborn to back down.
