"I don't want to go" Lo'ak groans slumping down in the sofa.

"You have to." I responded picking up the basket of fruit that was prepared.

"Mom! Those things are so stupid!"

"Language" Jake throws back at him who kicks his feet up on the table.

"You're going to" I say to him, pushing his feet off the table. "Honestly and you wonder where Lo'ak gets it from"

"What?! Why me?!" Jake says

"You're their father...you're summoned" I shoot back as they both just groan at the same time

"Why doesn't Neteyam have to go then?" Lo'ak retorts glaring over at his brother.

"Because unlike you, I actually know how to fight correctly" Neteyam snickers as he walks over to help out things away.

"Please I could take you" Lo'ak sends back

"You both shouldn't even be fighting" Jake growls "because of that, now we all gotta go apologize"

I stand there thinking of the many fights Jake gotten himself into and roll my eyes.

"It will be quick" I say turning to the both of them. Who just still sit and contemplate even going. "NOW"

And with that the two both stand up and follow.

"Neteyam, please watch your sisters we'll be back." I say as the other two just mumble a painful goodbye under their breath.

—————

"Ok, we go. Say sorry then home" Jake instructs us as I stare at him.

"Whatever" Lo'ak mumbles and I turn my head to look at him.

"I'm not mad at you" Jake corrects himself "But this needs to stop. No more fighting. Even if they say something slick"

"Dad, it's not that easy"

"Of course it is"

I would like to think Jake did really try to be a good example for Lo'ak. But Lo'ak was too much like his father and Jake...never let anyone walk over him.

As we stand at the base of another Home tree. The doors open and Jake smiles only to come face to face with his favorite person.

"Well if it isn't the poor man's leader" Tora said and Jake just grins. His son showing up behind Tora.

"That's him dad, the one who said I wasn't good enough" the boy cried

"No I didn't! You said that to me!" Lo'ak retorts annoyance in his voice. "Mom! Dad!"

"We're not here to blame anyone for anything" I started "we just wanted to bring a peace offering as a way to mend things"

"We're not interested" Tora says to me

"You surely are" Jake presses still grinning as to hold back his own anger. I can feel him boiling. "Take it"

"No"

"Take the damn basket" Jake says stepping forward

"Or what?" Tora threatens

"Tora, just take the basket" I warned

"It's probably rotten food" Tora's son mumbles making Lo'ak lunge forward to grab him but Jake catches his own son.

"Peasant" the boy adds on and Jake just scoffs

"Fine" Jake shrugs releasing Lo'ak "teach him what peasant shit is"

"Gladly" Lo'ak responds and in that same split second Jake hits Tora.

—————

"You two are unbelievable" I mumbled as they both sit at home waiting to be clean up.

"I'm not surprised" Neteyam shrugs

"Shut up" Lo'ak growls making Neteyam chuckle.

"Stop picking on your brother" I shoot back
