"MIA!" JULES CALLED OUT WHEN she looked into an empty fridge. "What?" Mia groaned, waking into the kitchen. "We have no food." Jules closed the fridge. "Where's Dom?" she asked, leaning against the fridge.
"He's in the garage." Mia answered. Jules sighed, "Look, I'll pop into the store, buy food for tonight at least." "You want me to come?" Mia asked. "If you want." Jules shrugged. "It's been a while since we've talked, no?"
After their semi-long grocery adventure, Jules got out of the car and walked towards the house. On her way there, she glanced over to the garage to see Dom, but found Brian staring right at her.
When Jules walked into the kitchen, she saw the bag Mia brought in sitting on the counter. She placed hers next to the bag, slowly taking things out as a rich in emotions washed over her.
It was becoming more frequent for these emotions to take over her mind. There was too much history for it to be ignored. Brian was putting herself back into her life, again. However, this time, she didn't want to leave.
"Hey." Brian called softly, pulling her arm so she could face him. Brian watched the tear fall as he looked between her eyes and lips. Slowly, he grabbed the back of her neck, pulling her close till their lips clashed. When the two broke apart, they looked at each other for a moment.
Jules wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer as the kiss became more heated. Brian's hands found Jules' waist, pulling her on top of the counter, making everything clatter or fall.
Jules let out a whimper when Brian's tongue met hers. Needing more, she pulled Brian's sweater down his arms with a little help from him. Brian's hands held her face as their breaths mixed together.
"Upstairs to the right." She mumbled against his lips. Brian gave her a smirk, wrapping her legs around his waist, picking her up and leading the two to her room.
An hour later the two lay in bed, Jules in Brian's shirt lying against his bare chest. "I don't want you to come." Brian whispered, tracing patterns on her arm. Jules' head perked up, looking at Brian through hooded eyes.
"Brian," "No, listen, it's getting too risky. You have too many scars to add more." He said, tightening his hold on her. Jules let out a heavy breath, knowing no matter what, she couldn't fight her way through this.
She turned over slightly, resting her arms on his chest with her head barely touching his hands. "Just promise me something." Brian looked down at her with his complete attention. "Promise me you'll get the son of a bitch who did this. Get Braga."
Brian leaned in, giving her a chaste kiss. "I promise Julianna." He whispered. Jules felt her insides warm at the feeling of her full name falling from his mouth. It didn't feel bitter or wrong, it felt peaceful. It felt right.
"We should probably get up. Say goodbye to Dom and all." She mumbled as Brian nodded. "I wish this could last longer, though." She said, slipping her clothes back on as Brian let out a chuckle, also getting ready.
Jules walked down the driveway towards Dom with Brian behind her. "If you thought you could leave without saying goodbye, then you've got another thing coming." She said as Dom chuckled.
"It's because I'm not leaving. Come here." He said, pulling his sister into a hug. When the two got into their cars, Jules leaned down into Brian's window. "Go get 'em, Blondie." She said, placing a kiss on his cheek as they soon drove away.
Brian and Dom knew that if Jules went, she wouldn't be safe anymore. Brian warned Dom that they weren't safe together and that Jules was on thin ice with the government. If she went, she'd drown with Dom.
