JULIANNA AND DOM STOOD AT THE table that had their plans all laid out, but they weren't looking at it. Instead, they were analyzing the bullet that Letty had shot Dom with.
"What you're looking at is a 5.45 by 18 FMJ spitzer bullet." Brian said, his footsteps got closer to the pair. "It's specific to one handgun, the PSM. Now, given that handguns are illegal in the United Kingdom, there's very few people that have access to that firearm."
"So if somebody wanted to, say, track down where it came from. It wouldn't be too hard." Brian finished, pulling out a folded piece of paper and handed it to Dom. "I was a cop for a lot of years. Some habits die hard."
"Aren't you glad I married him?" Jules joked, cocking her head at her brother with a smirk.
Dom rolled his eyes, reading the paper. "A pawnshop." He read, chuckling softly.
Jules and Brian moved away from Dom, going into their makeshift room to gather their belongings. Brian grabbed a gun from his drawer, tucking it into the back of his pants.
"You okay?" He asked his wife, rounding their bed to be on the same side as her.
Jules sighs, running a hand over her face all the way up to her hair. "I miss Jack." She admitted, knowingly. "I'm also a little freaked out that Letty's alive. I mean, we had a funeral for her. It's like seeing a ghost and—"
"Hey, hey." Brian grabbed each side of her face, looking deep into her eyes. "It's okay. This is all going to be okay, I promise." He reassured her.
"How can you be so sure? Like Dom said, she doesn't even recognize him." She replied, her voice harsher than usual. "I'm sorry, but I don't know what to do."
Brian pressed a longing kiss to her forehead. "We take it day by day, but right now we've got a lead with this pawnshop, and I want you behind me at all times." He declared, giving her a pointed look.
"You are something else, blondie." Jules smiled, using her signature nickname for the man. Brian smirked down at her, bringing her lips up to him.
Their lips moved in sync, and his hands gripped her waist, pulling her closer. His hands moved to her ass, squeezing lightly. He groaned, pulling back and resting his forehead against hers.
"If we continue, we're gonna fuck up this plan." He muttered, his hands finding her waist and trying to resist the temptation. Jules grinned up at him, her hands lazily draped over his shoulders. "Get your ass movin', sweetheart." He told her.
Jules unraveled herself from her husband and grabbed her pocket knife from her side table, tucking it into her sleeve slot.
The three of them left the loft and walked the streets of the United Kingdom, finding the pawnshop with ease. Dom and Brian walked in ahead of Jules. While Dom did the talking, Brian stayed true to his words and kept Jules behind him, with a protective hand out.
