Wangji and Wuxian managed to clean up after their dual exchange. They showered a little longer than expected but it was all in good fun. The two eventually managed to go downstairs. It was later in the afternoon so they knew Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo would be home in a few hours.

"Should we eat before we try meditating?" Wuxian asked, "We missed breakfast."

Wangji nodded. Luckily, Wangji can cook and he was taught how to use most of the kitchen equipment by either Haikuan or Xiao Zhan. Wangji just made some rice and vegetables but added some spices to Wei Wuxian's portion. After eating lunch, they cleaned up the dishes and the kitchen, before going to the living room to meditate.

"There are many ways to meditate but you are not one to sit still long enough for you to go into deep meditation," Wangji said, "you need to find a way to relax yourself and your mind. It's a time where you shouldn't have to think about anything other than breathing and the energy within and around you."

Wuxian nodded, "okay," he said sitting in a lotus position, "how do I do that?"

"Try to focus on one particular spot on your body," Wangji said. Wuxian just stared at him as he wasn't sure if he could do that. Wangji sighed but smiled. He then reached out and pressed his finger to Wuxian's nose, "focus on this spot where my finger is."

Wuxian giggled before closing his eyes and focused on the tip of his nose where Wangji touched him. He felt a tingling sensation that was left behind. Wuxian always felt relaxed with Wangji and his touch. Wuxian took in a deep breath and let it out. Soon enough he started to slip into meditation. The feeling on his nose was soon gone but he soon focused on that familiar warmth inside his body again. His newly formed golden core. That warmth soon spread through his entire body. Wuxian was now in deep meditation.

Lan Wangji smiled as he carefully moved further away from Wuxian to let him meditate. He took out his guqin and started playing soul calming music. Wangji realized as he played it helped relax Wuxian more. Zhan and Yibo returned to see Wangji playing and Wuxian meditating but left them alone.

"I take it they were fine," Yibo said calmly as he got a bottle of water from the kitchen.

Zhan followed, "I think so too," he said. They soon heard the music stop but Wuxian was still in deep meditation. Wangji met up with the two in the kitchen to talk, "How was your day?" Zhan asked Wangji.

"Nice," He replied, "Wei Ying has a new golden core."

"Isn't it that if it's gone you can't get a new one?" Yibo asked.

"Wei Ying gave his up to his sworn brother. His sworn brother's was crushed, so he wouldn't have been able to make a new one. His spiritual energy would be forever impaired but with Wei Ying's core, he healed and he can cultivate again. It was different for Wei Ying. He gave up his core, it was not crushed. His body still produces a natural source of spiritual energy so he just needed a push to get the core to form," Wangji explained.

"Kind of like a transplant," Yibo said, "how did you get Wuxian to form a new one?"

"Dual cultivation," Wangji replied.

"What is that?" Zhan asked, "Do we want to know?"

"It is an exchange or share of spiritual energy through intimacy, otherwise known as sexual intercourse," Wangji said, "our energy blends together and with the help of my energy it clings into Wei Ying and helps him make a core."

"Does it affect your energy at all?" Yibo asked.

"No, it's just like passing spiritual energy through a normal way but more intimate. All I would need to do is meditate to keep my energy level up," Wangji answered.

"So meditation helped restore energy?" Yibo asked.

"Yes," Wangji replied.

"Well, even in our world meditation is common and many people enjoy it because it helps them relax and clear their minds for a while. Even a good breathing exercise helps clear the mind. It's a good energy boost," Zhan explained.

"So I assume you two were busy together then?" Yibo asked.

Wangji nodded. Wuxian eventually woke from his meditation. He was under for a little over two hours or so. When he woke, he noticed that he was alone in the room. He smiled when he heard voices coming from the other room so Wuxian went to join them.

"Hello," he greeted.

"Hello Wuxian, how are you feeling?" Xiao Zhan asked.

"I feel very good," he answered.

Wangji took Wuxian's wrist and checked his energy and Qi, "if you meditate for at least an hour every morning and an hour every night, you will strengthen your core pretty quickly," Wangji said, "your energy is flowing through you really well. The resentful energy in you is almost gone too."

"If I can clear that out I would like to not have to use it again...but if I ever find Chenqing, I'd have to get it cleansed," Wuxian said.

"I can help with that," Wangji said, "would you like a new flute in the meantime?"

"How? Is their bamboo anywhere around here?" Wuxian asked.

"Why bamboo?" Yibo asked.

"It's called a Dizi, or a bamboo flute," Wuxian replied.

"Come with me," Zhan said. They followed Zhan outside to the back yard and they went near the woods that were by their house. There was actually bamboo close by, "Would this do?" Zhan asked.

Wuxian smiled, "yes, actually," he said, "can we cut a piece?"

Yibo took out his pocket knife and cut bamboo that Wuxian found good to use to make a flute. Wangji helped by crafting it for him. In just a couple hours, Wuxian had a bamboo flute.

"Let's see if it works," Wuxian said and began to play Wangxian. Of course it works, and it sounded nice as well.

"Wow, just out of bamboo," Zhan said, "that's impressive."

Wuxian blushed, "usually, cultivators make their own instruments or they are passed down from family."

"My guqin was my grandmother's Ancestor Lan Yi," Wangji said taking out his white guqin, "it is called Báiyù (White Jade). I also still have my personal guqin which is just named Wangji."

"Your personal guqin, was it made or handed to you?" Zhan asked.

"It was made," Wangji replied, "my brother even made his Xiao, Liebing."

"What is a Xiao?" Yibo asked.

"It's a vertical flute. His is made of white jade," Wangji said. As the two were talking, they heard a loud bang from outside. They went to check and what they saw was surprising.

"Xiongzhang?!"
