Ch. 61

The sun was high in the sky and the heat settled on my skin comfortably. The wind was cool but not cold, it was enough to make this summer day feel refreshing. I was standing in a beautiful forest, and it seemed to be enchanted. Peach blossom trees were on the right, and luscious green maple and oak trees on the left. Ahead of me was a waterfall that flowed down into a calm river that cut through the land. Butterflies fluttered from the peach blossoms and other creatures like squirrels and foxes frolicked through the tall grass.

Eventually something stuck out to me, it wasn't just a regular fox. It was a white nine tailed fox and it had three little fox kits by her side. Two of the three were white while one of them was a beautiful red. Not far away was another nine tailed fox and it was red like the little fox kit. I realized it may be the father to the kits. I smiled at how cute they were but kept myself at a distance as I didn't want to disturb them.

"Beautiful creatures, aren't they?" A female voice asked from behind me. I nearly jumped out of my skin but I quickly calmed as I didn't want to assume weak to this woman. She was dressed in Black and her robes had white and silver embroidery. Her eyes were a deep blue and her hair was silver like the moon. She looked beautiful despite looking as if she was in her forties or fifties, "I didn't mean to frighten you."

"It is alright," I said, "Who are you? Where am I exactly?"

"This is Celestial Mountain, where I reside," she answered, "I am your grandmother, Baoshan Sanren."

I stared at her in awe, "You can visit people in their dreams?"

"Not necessarily, just disciples and family," she said, "I am sure you have a lot of questions, and you will get them. You will see me in person in a few days. I will help you decide what you want to do. I have some ideas as to help you and everyone get back home, as it was I who helped you and your partner leave. It was only meant to be you two but others followed. You and your partner are more than welcome to stay here at my mountain if you do not wish to return to the sects."

"Would I be able to travel?" I asked, "Lan Zhan and I have talked about doing such things."

"Of course, family is always welcome to return as it is the only way to come back. Disciples who leave cannot return because they do not have Sanren blood. Your mother could have returned but her husband couldn't come. It's different now as I managed to change my barriers. Blood can come back along with their soulmates as long as they have created a soul bond," Baoshan explained.

"Do you know what I have been through?" I asked.

"I have and I do not care what your past is. You survived it and you are alive now. You are strong and living with the person you love most," she said.

"What about the humans we are with? How do they look like us?" I asked.

"They are your reincarnates," Baoshan answered, "this is you and your partner very far into the future."

Wuxian nodded, "You said you'd come in person?"

"Yes, I have to get going and so do you. I will see you and everyone else in a few days. You will know it is me. You are needed to get back to your partner now. It is morning," Baoshan said.

I woke up feeling a bit lightheaded and dizzy. I just spoke to Baoshan Sanren and she will come to us in a few days. The dizziness soon passes as I felt a warm hand moving up and down my bare stomach. I smiled remembering my love session with Lan Zhan last night. No matter how intense and rough it is, I love it so much. He makes me feel something that I've never felt before. I am so lucky to have him as mine.

"Mnn, good morning, Lan Zhan," I said as I rolled from my side to my back.

"Good morning, Wei Ying," He said in response before giving me a kiss. I let out a soft moan as his lips settled on mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he moved to lay on top of me.

"So much love from you this morning," I said after he pulled away.

"Always," He said.

"And I am happy to accept it," I said. He then placed a kiss on my forehead, "I had a strange dream last night and I think it was more than a dream...I think it will actually happen."

"What do you mean?" He asked. I explained to him about Baoshan and what she said. He seems thoughtful and listened to me carefully. I loved him for that, "So she will come to us?"

"It was what she told me," I said, "Should we tell the others?" I asked.

"We should, just so they know what to expect," Lan Zhan said.

Wuxian nodded, "Do we have to get up yet? I am too comfortable to move," I questioned.

"How about I prepare a bath?" Lan Zhan asked.

I sighed and nodded. I didn't want to be out of his embrace but I didn't want to sound clingy. Lan Zhan got up went the bathroom. I sat up and looked down at my hands on the blanket that covered my legs. I heard the water running in the bathroom but I didn't move. I was thinking about everything. Baoshan was coming...I saw her but in a dream. She must know how to get us home...I don't know if I will ever be ready to go back. She did say we could stay with her and family can come and go as they pleased...I feel like a bad partner because all I do is think about is myself and not wanting to go back. What does Lan Zhan want?

"Wei Ying," Lan Zhan called for me.

I looked at him, "Huh?"

"The bath is ready," he said but I could tell he knew something was wrong, "Are you alright?"

"Baoshan will know how to send us back...I am not ready yet...I don't know if I will ever be."

"Wei Ying, you and I will go back when you are ready," he said.

"What about you?" I asked, "Do you want to go back?"

"I want to go wherever you are," He told me, "I do not care if it is here or at Gusu, or traveling around the world. I just want to be with you."

"I feel like I am keeping you here, holding you back from everything," I said.

Lan Zhan scooped me up and carried me to the bathroom. Since we didn't have clothes on from what happened last night, we just got into the bath. Lan Zhan placed me between his legs and had me leaning back against his chest, "You are not holding me back. You and I are immortals. We wouldn't be this way without each other. We may not have properly married but we technically are due to our bond. I am glad I have you and I want no one else."

I nodded and sighed, "I am sorry for being like this."

"You do not need to apologize," Lan Zhan said, "You have every right to feel scared or afraid. Just remember I will always be with you and I will never let you fight alone again. I am with you from now on."

"I love you, you know that," I said turning to face him and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I love you too," He said.

I basically threw my arms around him and my lips crushed into his. He let out a groan the second our lips touched. Being in his arms made me feel safe and secure. I felt as if my worries have disappeared within an instant. I know they were still there but I wish they weren't. I felt Lan Zhan playing with my hair as our lips danced together. After a while we did eventually part as we needed to finish our bath and meet with everyone else. They will need to know that Baoshan has contacted me and will be visiting soon.
