"You say you hear what he is saying yes, but you are not listening. There is a difference," Wen Qing said angrily.

"I am listening to him," Lan Xichen said, "he said he doesn't want to return home. His last injury was potentially done on purpose to keep himself from working on the talisman. How selfish does he have to be? There are other people who would like to get home."

"Selfish?!" Wen Qing yelled, "You are calling A'Ying selfish? He has every right to feel as he does. Not a single person in this house has experienced a fraction of what he has. He has been abused since he was a child, the home and people he once called family threw him away the first opportunity that came up. He lost his cultivation because he couldn't bare to see his sworn brother waste his life away. He fought the entire cultivation world alone and was hated by everyone because all he wanted was to protect me and my family. Something that people forget that we may be Wens but we are Dafan Wens, not Qishan Wens. Wei Wuxian even died because of all of you. He died feeling alone because he lost the last person he felt gave him stability and that was his Shijie! So don't you dare say that he is selfish! He is traumatized."

"Maybe he should have thought about his actions first then," Xichen said, "he brought everything upon himself."

"Xiongzhang!" Lan Wangji yelled as he came from upstairs. He left Wuxian to sleep for a bit and he wanted to get the two to stop arguing. However, the words his brother was saying was infuriating him, "You are a Sect Leader, so act like one. You promised me you would ease up on him. I agree with Wen Qing on this. If he is afraid to go back, why are we pushing him. If you want to go home, make the talisman yourself and go home! I am not leaving until I know Wei Ying is comfortable with going back."

"Wangji, you have to understand that he is not going to change. All he seems to do is mope and play the traumatized man but I can tell he is perfectly fine. He is fine enough to go home," Xichen said, "I think time away from the sect has you forgetting our principles."

"Don't you dare say something like that!" Lan Wangji yelled, "Wei Ying isn't playing any games. He is hurting, emotionally and mentally hurting. The words you are saying and the way you are treating him is exactly the reason why he doesn't want to return home. And if we ever go back, I am not going back to the sect as I have told you, I will follow him. If I have to secede the sect," Wangji removed his forehead ribbon and placed it in his brother's hand, "then this is proof that I am serious. Wei Ying is my first priority. We may not be married yet but his health and wellbeing is all that matters to me."

"Wangji, I said I am okay with you living outside the sect but don't through the entire sect away for one person," Xichen said.

"He isn't just some person!" Wangji told him, "when will you understand that?"

"A'Jie, I don't want A'Ying to be alone upstairs. I am going to go sit upstairs with him while you guys work this out," Wen Ning said.

"Call me or Wangji if you need anything," Wen Qing said.

"I will," Wen Ning said and went upstairs to Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji's room. Wen Ning just sat up there beside him and comforted him as he slept while everyone else was downstairs arguing.

Haikuan sighed and rubbed his temples before stepping outside for a moment. He wasn't a psychologist like Xiao Zhan so this who thing was giving him a headache. He was angry with Xichen too. If it was Yibo in Wuxian's position, Haikuan wouldn't hesitate to try and understand what is wrong with him. He would even do that for Xiao Zhan if it came down to it. He didn't understand why Xichen was having such a hard time understanding the situation so suddenly.
