Xiao Zhan woke up the next morning after the merge. He had his own memories, but now he had Wei Wuxian's memories. It was as if he had regained memory he lost long ago and he suddenly remembered it all. It was as if they were meant to be one person, that at one point, the cultivation time and the modern time were all in one world, and eventually split into two. Once it split, it created doppelgängers and an alternative reality.

Yibo was sitting beside him on their bed and had a cold press on Zhan's forehead. Xiao Zhan realized he must have had a fever, "did I sleep long?" He asked.

"A few days," Yibo replied, "Baoshan said it was to be expected with you specifically because of how much traumatic memories you had to endure. How are you feeling?"

It was strange. It was as if he spoke like the prime and proper Lan Wangji but he had a bit of tonality to his voice now. He did not sound so monotonous. He looked at him with such sweet dedication and love, it felt like he and Wangji kissed for the first time, it gave off that aura.

Xiao Zhan smiled, "I feel better thanks to you," he said.

Yibo smiled, "so, do you prefer Xiao Zhan or Wei Ying right now?"

"Zhan-Ge is fine, Bodi," Xiao Zhan said, "I guess I am older than you now?"

Yibo chuckled, "you are, and when we are both in the cultivation world, I will call you Wei Ying."

"Where is Wai Po?" Xiao Zhan asked.

"She went to her mountain for a few days to give us some time to rest," Yibo said.

Zhan nodded, "how are you feeling?"

"I feel great," Yibo said happily, "I can now understand just how much a soul bond actually feels like. I can understand how you are feeling right now. Emotionally, mentally, and physically...it sounds weird but at the same time it's nice. It was like I could sense you waking soon too."

Xiao Zhan looked at him in awe. Xiao Zhan had to dig out his soul bond link. He now could feel it as Wei Wuxian used to. He smiled as he could feel how content Yibo was, "I am glad about this...I wonder if the healing thing still works?" He asked.

Yibo gave him a mischievous grin before he quickly turned and crawled over him and began kissing him senseless. He even managed to get Zhan's clothes off within a matter of seconds. Zhan dipped his fingers under Yibo's shirt and began to trace his abs with his fingers. Yibo let out a soft sigh as he was enjoying Zhan's touch. Zhan yanked off Yibo's shirt and pants without breaking from the kiss once. Okay maybe a second to get the shirt off but that's it.

Zhan looked his partner over and his eyes widened at a specific part of Yibo's body, "is it bigger than before?" He questioned as he pulled back.

"Possibly, I will not hurt you, you know that," Yibo said.

Zhan smiled, "I trust you, I am just a bit surprised to see it has grown a bit."

"You will enjoy it, I will make sure of it," Yibo said. He was not kidding in the least either. After warming Zhan up and getting him prepped, he slowly started to push his length into him.

"Ahh!" Zhan moaned, "so big."

"Or maybe you are just tight," Yibo said shamelessly.

"You are definitely bigger," Zhan protested, "let's not forget that with the merge I may as well be a virgin again."

Just like before, Yibo hardened inside him. Zhan could only roll his eyes at this point but it only made Yibo take him harder. As they were lost in the moment, they began to feel their spiritual essence expanding and sharing to each other. It was so warm and it made every touch feel more pleasing. They felt as if they became hypersensitive to touch and after a few seconds of deep steady thrusting,  they would share a release, over and over again.

They lost track of how many times but they did not care either. They were just so lost in it all that all they wanted was to continue with it until they were near exhaustion...basically most of the day and half way through the night before they both felt it was time to stop. They showered and had to shower a bit longer to help take the extra arousal off.

The two did eventually get some sleep and woke up almost around noon. Thankfully they didn't have to work. That was something the two had to consider later too. How long would they work? The two were paid well and were not poor to say the least. They both lived off a doctor's salary, Yibo's salary was around four-hundred thousand per year give or take. Zhan's salary was a bit less which was roughly around three-hundred thousand. Now being merged with Wuxian and Wangji, they had new skills.

The two had a nice relaxing lunch together before they called up Haikuan to see if he wants to gather everyone to talk. They agreed and Zhan sent a message to Baoshan to inform her. He was not entirely sure how this intervention would go but it needed to be done. Now that Yibo and Zhan have "changed" it was going to potentially be a bit more difficult.

Baoshan arrived first as she wanted to help the two prepare. Zhan thought since it was such a nice day outside, that they could do this meeting outside. The fresh air could help soothe other's nerves. Soon, Haikuan, Xichen, Wen Qing, and Wen Ning arrived. Haikuan had Fanxing and A'Yuan spend time together at his uncle's house. His uncle had taken a liking to the two boys so he gladly agreed to watch them while everyone else went to deal with everything else.

Yibo and Zhan had their hair up as they would normally, though it looked shorter to others, they had everyone believing they were Wangji and Wuxian. No one really realized it yet, and it became even more clear when Haikuan asked where his brother and Zhan were.

"Kuan-Ge, I am right next to you," Yibo said.

"You are Wangji...wait did you just call me Kuan-Ge?" Haikuan asked.

"I know we should have talked to you all first but Baoshan came up with a solution that would help us out a lot. I am both Xiao Zhan and Wei Ying and Yibo is both Yibo and Wangji. We merged into one being," Zhan explained.

"Excuse me?" Xichen asked, "why not speak with us first?"

"It was our decision to make," Yibo explained, "yes, we should have talked to you first but the way we saw it was a way to help solve Wangji and Wuxian's problems. Wuxian specifically."

"Wei Wuxian...now me, has a hard time accepting the reality that I would have to return to our world one day. We merged because not only did we keep our immortality, but we can multidimensional travel thanks to Baoshan. We can go to and from this timeline to that timeline whenever we want to. Wuxian would have more of a family here than back in the cultivation timeline and this was a way to give him security. He has that with Lan Zhan of course, but this is just another anchor. We do not regret this choice, by the way, and we hope you can come to accept it. In this timeline we go by Yibo and Zhan. When we visit the cultivation timeline, we will go by Wuxian and Wangji," Xiao Zhan explained.

"I honestly think this is a good solution," Wen Qing said, "as one being Xiao Zhan looks more at ease and doesn't seem to be haunted by his past demons as before."

"As we still have our knowledge of being doctors, it helps too," Yibo said.

"I can now pick at your brain, Qing-Jie," Zhan teased.

"Yup, you are still Wei Wuxian in there," she said.

"Xiongzhang, and Haikuan, I hope you will accept this two. I now see you both as my older brothers...twin older brothers to be more specific," Yibo said, "I will go back to Gusu and visit but we know that me going back permanently is not going to happen now that I have Zhan-Ge."

"So, Xiao Zhan is the elder now?" Haikuan asked.

"Yes," Yibo said, "so what do you think?"

"I accept your decision," Xichen said and then looked at Xiao Zhan, "I hope you know that I am sorry for my words towards you and I hope you can forgive me one day."

"Of course," Zhan said happily as Yibo took his hand.
