Lan Xichen was in a daze. He was in a large room and he was lying on a metal table with his arms and legs chained down. He only had underwear on so he felt super exposed. There was a needle in his arm with fluids dripping into a tube to him. Another needle was in his other arm drawing some blood. The room had other medical equipment such as more needles, cotton swabs, gloves, and blood pressure cuff.

To Xichen, this stuff was all foreign. He just had to keep himself calm. He still had his spiritual energy so he could do everything he can to use it at the right opportunity. He was currently alone in the room and the metal table he was on was tilted up so it looked like he was standing and leaning against it. Like the table was a wall. Xichen was hoping that he would be found but with everything that has happened, he wasn't too hopeful, either.

"Ge!" He heard as someone or some people entered the room.

"Wangji, how did you find me? Where is everyone else?" Xichen asked.

"Yibo and Haikuan are with me as it can only be employees in the building and since Yibo is his sibling he can be here. I am pretending to be his twin to be here. They are waiting by the door," Wangji said as he used his sword the cut the chains and helped Xichen down, "Are you okay?"

"I am," Xichen said.

"Ge, I am sorry about everything that is happening right now," Wangji said, "it is all a big mess and I wish we could solve this peacefully."

"I am guessing Wuxian is not happy about something right now?" Xichen asked concerned.

"Baoshan used a spell to help find you. It caused me some pain and I was bleeding from my mouth, nose, and eyes. It scared him a lot and he is not really talking to me right now...He wants to help find you but he didn't want to see me hurt in the process," Wangji explained.

"We will get through this. I imagine it was a trigger for his post trauma," Xichen said, "Being here, it helped me see things in a different perspective...I can now understand why he feels the way he does. He feels alone and betrayed constantly. He fears speaking his mind because all that has happened is arguing with him instead. I was wrong and I want to apologize to him. I want to be there as a brother to him as I should have been from the start. I want to be there for you and him and I am sorry, Wangji."

After hearing Xichen say that, Wangji also began to think about it. Wuxian still hold back from talking about things and that is because all that happens is arguments from them. He doesn't have a safe outlet to talk and he gets talked back to because of it. It was no wonder that Wuxian didn't want to help find Xichen. He is feeling confused and where he is placed. He didn't want to be between Wangji and Xichen as they are brothers and Wuxian never wants to get in the way of another family. Wuxian has always been that way and it took until now for Wangji to fully realize that.

"We should go," Wangji said, "and I forgive you...as for Zanjin, Haikuan has him taken care of."

The needles were carefully removed with Yibo's help before they found clothes to dress Xichen in and left for home. When they got to Yibo and Zhan's house, Xichen was examined by Yibo and Wen Qing just to be sure he was okay. He had lost some blood but with some nutrients he will be fine. Nothing is broken despite the care accident and he seems to be healed for the most part. Now the issue is, where was Wuxian, everyone but Wuxian was in the medical room. Well, aside from Wen Ning and the two kids who were still at Haikuan's house. But where was Wei Wuxian.

"Xiao Zhan, where is Wei Ying?" Wangji asked.

Xiao Zhan gave him a look of pity and sorrow, "I am sorry but he left with Baoshan."

"Where?" Wangji asked.

"Her mountain," Xiao Zhan said, "Baoshan will return in a few minutes but Wuxian could not be here anymore. He is tired of arguing with you and your brother about everything. He feels like you two need time apart. I told him he should talk to you but he didn't want to. So he left."

Wangji's heart shattered and his legs gave out as he crumbled to the floor. He was so worried about his brother he neglected to see Wuxian's pain. Wuxian pushed his pain aside for Wangji's sake and he stayed until Wangji went for his brother. Wuxian knows it was wrong but he doesn't want to keep coming in between Wangji and Xichen. He just feels alone and as much as he loves Wangji, he will let him go to be with his family at the Lan Sect. Wangji did not want to return to the sect, Xichen knows this and he supports Wangji's decision on that. He knows that Wangji wants to live peacefully with Wuxian.

"Please do not give up Wangji," Xichen said, "When Baoshan returns, beg her to take you to him. You are engaged and you have bonded already. You two cannot be apart otherwise it will be too painful for either of you. He may need time but he needs you."

"Why would he just leave like that?" Wangji asked as tears fell down his face.

Before anyone could say anything Baoshan appeared, "What is going on?"

"What do you mean, what is going on? You took Wuxian back to your mountain without letting Wangji talk to him first," Xichen argued.

"I didn't take him, I have been away since the three left to get you. I did not take Wuxian with me," Baoshan said, "I am not lying. Xiao Zhan and I talked about setting up a group session so everyone could talk, why would I take him away? Especially when he is bonded to Wangji?"

"Then who was it that he was with that looked like you and teleported out of the house?" Xiao Zhan asked.

"What are you talking about?" Baoshan asked.

"That wasn't you who was with Wei Wuxian?" Xiao Zhan asked, "Then who was he with? He said he was going to your mountain."

"I just came from there, he was not with me," Baoshan said.

"So you're saying someone played off as you and took Wei Ying?" Wangji asked, "Who would take him?"

"I don't know," Baoshan said, "I'd help you find him but after the last time I ran that spell it took a lot out of you. Wuxian isn't here this time to calm you down. I can use the spell to link the bond between you two in order to find him."

Wangji sighed, "I need to find him. I am not going to let him suffer alone again. I will find him on my own if I have tow," he said and closed his eyes and searched for his bond link. Using it, he actually managed to sense where he was. He managed to look through Wei Wuxian's eyes and he saw someone who he thought was not only dead, but he thought that his counterpart was already dealt with...Zanjin was back but beside him was Jin Guangyao.
