Ch. 40

Lan Xichen and Haikuan arrived at Yibo and Zhan's house. Wen Qing, Wen Ning, and Fanxing were with them. Fanxing wanted to spend time with A'Yuan again. When they entered the house, they were happy to see that Wuxian was feeling a bit better. Wangji, Wuxian, and Lan Xichen went upstairs so they could talk privately. This was a long awaited conversation that needs to be held. Wangji wants to make sure he can trust his brother to help keep his soulmate safe and alive.

"Okay," Lan Xichen said as he sat down on the couch in the room, "what did you want to talk to me about?"

Wuxian was feeling antsy. Wangji could immediately tell too. Since they started dual cultivating, Wangji could actually feel Wei Wuxian's emotions. He could sense them more and could easily tell when Wuxian was feeling sad or angry or even scared, "actually maybe it's better to just leave it," Wuxian said and stood up. He was about to walk away but Wangji was too quick for him and grabbed Wuxian by the waist and pulled him to sit on his lap. Wuxian squealed at the sudden force of being pulled back, "Lan Zhan?"

"We are having this discussion," Wangji said calmly, "I am sure Xiongzhang would like to know some of your concerns as well...right, Xiongzhang?"

Lan Xichen already had a feeling this was about returning home. It was a discussion that needed to happen. Wei Wuxian was scared and he had every right to be. Lan Xichen wanted to make sure to help protect Wuxian this time, "you have my word, I want to understand what you're concerns are so we can work out some solutions. We cannot do that if we keep holding this off."

Wuxian sighed and crossed his arms over his chest, "fine," he said with a pouted lip.

Wangji couldn't help but coo at the sight. He lifted his hand and poked at Wuxian's lip, "what's this lip for?" He asked.

"Lan Zhan?" Wuxian said in a playful manner.

"Wei Ying, how old are you?" Wangji asked.

"XianXian is three," Wuxian answered.

"Three huh?" Wangji asked and looked at his brother, "Ge, I am marrying a three year old."

"Mnn, must be difficult for you," Xichen said playing along.

"I don't want to be a problem," Wuxian said looking down at his hands. He started to turn the conversation into something more serious, "I have always been told that I'd lose face for Lotus Pier by Jiang Cheng and Madam Yu. There are so many times where I wanted to call Lotus Pier home but I did not dare. I always feared that I would be kicked out, so I trained hard, I did everything that I was told to do. I was humiliated even, but I was still thrown out of the sect the moment the opportunity came. Lan Zhan wants to marry me, but how do I know I will be able to call Cloud Recesses my home, when I have also been kicked out of the sect for my behavior."

"A'Xian....can I call you that?" Lan Xichen asked.

Wei Wuxian looked at Xichen, "okay."

"A'Xian, you have my word, I will do whatever it takes to make sure you are safe and welcome within Cloud Recesses this time. It is a promise that I made to Wangji and it is a promise that I am making to you. I am on your side," Lan Xichen explained.

"How do you know it will be okay?" Wuxian asked, "your uncle doesn't like me at all."

"We will have to work hard to convince him otherwise," Lan Xichen told him, "we know the truth behind the curse and we know who was really behind killing Jin Zixun and Jin Zixuan. Your name will be cleared."

Wuxian sighed, "alright," he said as he gave up on arguing.

"Wei Ying and I want to marry, Ge," Wangji said, "We can wait until we are back home but the idea of marrying before we return might actually protect Wei Ying more."

"Zhan told me compared to our timeline, if you want to marry, we'd have to travel a little bit out of town," Xichen said, "and the marriage is done very differently as it is a more modern society here."

"Is there a way we can just set up a spot to make our three bows?" Wuxian asked, "it may not count here in this timeline but it would for our timeline."

"That is true," Xichen said, "we'd have to talk to Yibo and Zhan about it. We also would need to find an alter...you two probably don't have to worry about consummation as you did so before hand."

"Yes," Wangji said outright, "it was only to help Wei Ying get his core back."

"And the other times after that?" Xichen asked with a smug grin on his face.

"It helps my spiritual energy and core grow stronger, quicker," Wuxian countered.

"Oh, so it's more for your cultivation benefits then it is for pleasure?" Xichen asked.

"Oh it's very much also about pleasure," Wuxian admitted, "Lan Zhan does not like to hold back what so ever."

Lan Xichen's face was starting to turn bright pink. He was not expecting Wuxian to just out right talk about his sex life with Wangji. He didn't really want to have those images of his brother in his head but then again, he dug the hole and now he must deal with it.

"Wei Ying, I will not show you mercy later then for outing me," Wangji warned.

Wuxian looked at Wangji before turning back to Xichen, "See, I'm lucky if I can walk the following day."

Lan Xichen sighed, "I think I have heard enough."

"Are you sure? I don't mind sharing more details with you. Might even help spice up your own sex life...if you even have one," Wuxian said.

"You know what, Wangji, I hope you make it so he cannot walk for at least three days after that comment," Lan Xichen said as he stood up, "I am going back downstairs now."

Wuxian laughed at how flustered Lan Xichen had just gotten. After Lan Xichen left the room, Wangji pinned Wuxian down onto the bed, "I will gladly punish you. I am okay with taking my brother's advice and making sure you can't walk for three days."

"You better be prepared to care for me then," Wuxian told him.

"I will," Wangji said as he tossed a ward over the room and locked the door before having his way with Wei Wuxian.
