Ch. 5

Haikuan at first wanted to see the two guests that were with Zhan and Yibo but when he saw Yibo, he got mischievous. Zhan held Fanxing so Haikuan had the opportunity. He grabbed Yibo from behind and hugged him.

"Haikuan!" Yibo said, trying to break away from him.

"What, I missed my Bo-Di, can't I tease my baby brother?" He asked.

"No!" He said, still trying to break free, "Kuan-Ge!"

"Z-Zewu Jun?" Wuxian questioned.

Haikuan looked at the man who said Zewu Jun, "who?" He asked.

"Xiongzhang?" Wangji asked confused.

"Huh? I am Haikuan, Yibo's older brother," he said and looked at Zhan, "I see what you mean by identical...do I look like this Zewu Jun?" He turned to Wuxian.

"Well, yes but without the forehead ribbon and you are more...playful, I guess is the word to describe you," Wuxian said and turned to Wangji, "are we in this alternate universe where we meet our doppelgängers? If so, how did we get here? Did destroying the Yin Hu Fu cause this?"

"I am not sure," Wangji said, "I am not thinking about that right now. You are more important."

Wuxian sighed and hung his head back before looking at Wangji, "even though they are doctors, would you be more comfortable tending to me?" He asked.

"Yes," he said and glared at Yibo, "Wei Ying is mine."

Zhan laughed, "Yibo won't take your lover away," Zhan said.

"What he said, plus I am more interested in...someone else," Yibo said.

Zhan felt a slight discomfort in his chest after hearing that. He chose to ignore it. If Yibo wanted someone else, then so be it. Zhan didn't want anyone but Yibo.

"A'Yuan?" Wuxian questioned.

"Oh, this is my adopted son Fanxing," Haikuan said, "as I was away on a business trip, I saw this little boy on the streets and I couldn't leave him. So I asked around and saw that his real parents are no longer in the picture so I adopted him as my own."

"When the time is right, you should have him meet my new nephew," Zhan said, "A'Lu had her baby, Peixin."

"Congratulations to her...and how is your brother?" Haikuan asked.

Zhan laughed, "why are you asking?" He teased.

"I was just wondering how he was doing," Haikuan said.

"Then ask him yourself," Zhan said and turned to Yibo, "must we do everything for those two?"

"Apparently," Yibo said, "I just finished wrapping him up. I expect you, Wei Wuxian, to rest for a few weeks to let these recover. If you need anything, there are two doctors and your boyfriend to help you."

"Alright," Wuxian said and Wangji took his hand.

"At least you two can work out your relationship, my brother and his friend here are just so dense," Haikuan said.

"Excuse me?" Yibo and Zhan questioned.

"You heard me, you both have been crushing on each other secretly for years. I'm surprised neither of you have taken the opportunity to speak up," Haikuan said.

"Maybe I was concerned about rejection and losing my best friend," Zhan said quietly.

Yibo looked at Zhan as he basically confirmed what Haikuan had said. He felt giddy when he heard Zhan admit it. He has loved Zhan for so long. Without a word, Yibo placed a kiss on Zhan's cheek.

"I was worried for that same reason, but if we have mutual feelings, why not try this out?" Yibo questioned.

Zhan looked into Yibo's eyes, "okay," he said.

"Papa?" Fanxing questions.

Haikuan took him from Zhan, "what is it, little one?"

"I'm bored," he said.

"I wonder," Wuxian said and had blank paper in his robes. He saw he had a paperman in his possession so he decided to try if he had any abilities in this world. Of course, he did, "Fanxing, be careful not to hurt him, he wants to say hello."

Fanxing looked at the little paperman in Wuxian's hand and saw it dancing. He started giggling, "you know magic?" He asked.

"Sure," Wuxian said.

As a scientist, Haikuan was intrigued by these two, "mind if I stop by again?" He asked Zhan.

"Of course, why wouldn't you be able to come back?" He asked.

"I don't know," Haikuan said and looked at Wangji, "you are quiet."

"What am I to say?" Wangji asked.

"I was just curious, are you always this quiet?" Haikuan asked.

"Mnn," he nodded.

Zhan giggled, "he and Yibo have something in common."

"Bunny!" Yibo warned.

"What did you just call me?" Zhan asked.

"Bunny," Yibo said, "because you remind me of one."

Zhan sighed and sat down beside Wuxian, "does Wangji flirt like this to you?"

"No, normally I am the one who flirts," Wuxian said.

"Care to share some tips on flirting?" Zhan asked quietly.

"Yes," Wuxian said immediately, "I love to make Lan Zhan flustered. It gets reactions from him that he would normally never make."

"Hmm?" Zhan hummed, "You two seem interesting."

Wuxian put his paperman away and let Fanxing sit on his lap, "you really remind me of A'Yuan."

"You will see him again," Wangji assured him.

Wuxian nodded, "it was a pleasure to meet you Fanxing."

"It was nice to meet too gege," he said and got off Wuxian's lap.

"I should get going. I will come back in a few days," Haikuan said.

"Alright, see you later," Yibo said and walked them out.

Wuxian was starting to feel tired, "Yibo must have given you a lot of pain medicine, it can make a person sleepy. If you are tired you can go rest if you want."

Wuxian nodded and Wangji helped him back to their room. Yibo returned and saw the two have left the room, "they went to rest?" Yibo asked.

"Yeah," Zhan said.

"I know now that we have feelings for each other, but we can take it slow. We don't have to rush anything, and I'd like to take you out on a date," Yibo said.

"You want to set it up?" Zhan asked.

"Why do you want to?" Yibo asked.

Zhan smirked, "how about I set up the next date?"

"Next date? Getting cocky?" Yibo asked.

"I have confidence in us," Zhan said, "we've known each other for a long time. If we fuck up some how I feel it will just be embarrassing."

Yibo laughed and nodded in agreement.
