"OMo! Bagay kayo! Do you see it, Karl? Look?”

Sa hindi ko malamang dahilan agad akong lumingon kung saan ang tinig. Nilagay ko ang kamy ko sa dibdib ni Felix para itulak siya pero hindi ko magawa. Mas lalo siyang naninigas at pilit niya akong hindi makawala. Umangat ang tingin ko sa kanya. Naninimbang ang mga titig niya sa akin. Kumunot ang noo ko sa ginawa niya. Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay. My jaw dropped of what he did. Did he want us to see in this position.

“Grace! This is it. I told you. Bagay kayo!”

I closed my eyes as I heard her voice. All of my life she is like that. Telling me what to do when I was young I am her slave.

“Mommy!” nahihiya kong sigaw sa kanya pero siya ay tila kinikiliti pa si Daddy.

Si daddy tuloy ay walang magawa kundi saluhin ang bawat ataki ni Mommy. Mommy smile was like a child giving her favorite food.

“We heard it all. He loves you anak but you are so heartless. Can’t you see his effort? Kung ganyan ay baka noon pa lang ay pinakasalan ko nay an. Ang manhid mo ha. Well, I will say yes after and the wedding onwards!”

“Mercury, your mouth. We should excuse ourselves. They need privacy. I'm sorry anak but your mommy brought me here for no reason.”

By the looks of Daddy, I know he trusted me to never let others fool me. Unlike mom, who only knows how to save her ash.

“No! We should----” mommy’s voice muffled when daddy covered it.

Sinamaan ni daddy ng tingin si mommy pero nanlalaban ito. Isang hila niya palang ay sumunod na ito at tumalikod. Alam kong labag ang loob ni mommy but If I will let her be in our moment. She will totally ruined it. I should make this man scold.

“Take care of yourself anak,” Daddy said as he continue guiding Mommy towards the door.

Mas nilingon ko pa sila hanggang sa si Mommy at daddy ay nakalayo na sa pwesto namin.

My eyes moved when he sighed and he moved backward. He closed his eyes in a tighten one and opened it after.  MY jaw dropped off what he did. Nakayuko ako habang kinukuha ang hininga ko. That was a scene and for sure Mommy will spread it.

“You should go inside,” he commanded.

Mas lalong nalaglag ang panga ko sa ginawa niya. Ganon na lang yon?

“What did you just say earlier? Is that for real?”

I know should never let myself be fooled by his words. But I need to clarify something so that I could sleep properly.

“Bakit mo ginawa yon?”

Kumuha ako ng lakas ng loob para salubungin ang matatapang niyang mata sa akin. Nanlalamig ako sa kinakatayuan ko ngayon at kahit pa sabihin niya na pumasok ako. I need to ask that question.

“You are right! We should never let them control us but do we have other choices now?”

Parang abot ang tuwa ko sa langt ng marinig ko yon. So we are on the same page huh. Umayos ako ng tyao at pinagkakapa kapa ang aking braso.

“We have a choice. We should----”

“I have an idea earlier. I did that on purpose for that to know that we are okay in this situation. Kialngan nating makuha ang loob nila para payagan nila tayo. I will work hard so that they will never force us to do this. I will never force you to be with me.”
