Chapter - 10

Rose and Claire smiled at each other with tears in their eyes. "I'm going to miss you a lot." Claire said to her. "Me too." Rose tightly hugged her which she returned. "Prince Theo, please take good care of Rose. She is not just my sister but a mother figure for me too." Claire said to prince Theo. "Don't worry, I will take proper care of her and you can come and meet her anytime." He said while giving her a small smile.

Rose went to her father and gave him a hug too. "Take care of yourself." She said to him. "I will" He replied. Lucy came and hugged her tightly. "Please keep on meeting us!" She said while sniffing her tears. "I surely will." Rose replied with a little chuckle. "Take care." Ray said to her and she nodded at him. 

Jake came and bent down on one knee in front of her and gave her a full bow. "I was honored to be your bodyguard princess. If you need me just give me a signal and I will be present right in front of you." He said while keeping his head low. "Thank you so much Jake." She made him stand back up. 

"It's time for us to leave now." Jasmine said to the royal family who were in tears letting their daughter go. "Don't worry, we will take care of her as our own daughter." The queen said to them while Sky gave her a side eye. "I won't let you treat her the same way you treat me." He thought to himself. 

It was finally time for Rose to let go of her family. She took Theo's hand and they walked out of the church. She looked back for one last time and smiled at them. She stepped out of the castle thinking that the next time she will come here as the part of the royal family of Philaria not knowing she is seeing it for the last time.

Walking into the royal hall of the castle of Philaria, Rose got a rush of tingles all over her body. Theo who was holding her hand the whole time, gave it a little squeeze to calm her down. "Welcome to our family princess Rose!" Jasmine came and hugged her. 

She was warmly welcomed by every member of the family except Sky who did even say a word to her. She felt weird and a bit hurt by his actions but she ignored it. She went along with Theo to their room which was beautifully decorated. 

"It is so beautiful." She while gazing all around. "But not more than you." Theo complimented her making her shy. He came near her and made her sit on the bed. "If you ever need anything or want to talk about anything just come to me, I will always be there for you." He said and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "I will." She replied with a slight blush on her cheeks. "You must be tired, I will go call the maids to help you change." He said and went out of the room.

Claire was going back to her room when someone held her hand from behind. "Leave me!" She jerked his hand away. "Why were you dancing with him?" Kevin asked her angrily. "I can do whatever I want." She said while turning to leave but he held her again. "You have no rights on me!" She yelled at him. "I am your future husband." He said to her. "Get that thing out of your head. It is not even decided yet." She said and went from there ignoring his yelling.

The next day, The royal family of Andria was invited for lunch at the castle of Philaria. Claire, her father and Jake were ready to go. They bid farewell to Lucy and Ray who were also going back to Sophesia. "See you soon, Lucy and Ray." Claire said to them both. "Sure" Ray replied while Lucy just smiled at her.

They all reached Philaria and were warmly welcomed by the citizens and the royal family. "Rose!" Claire went to her and gave her a hug. She then bowed to every other member of the royal family. 

They all went and settled down at the dining table while Jake went outside with other guards. "How are the preparations here in Philaria?" The queen asked the king of Andria. "It's great, I am happy to see all of this." He replied. The maids came and started serving their food. 

"I have decided to do Theo's coronation after two months." The king of Philaria said making Claire's father nod. "That is a good decision." He said. Claire noticed Sky who was very quiet and seemed uncomfortable with this conversation. She saw him struggling to even sit there so she thought of an idea. "Prince Sky, can you help me a little with Rose's stuff and that flower bouquet which we decided for the welcoming of other guests who might come to visit?" She made a random excuse and Sky also nodded at her.

They both went out from there to the garden. "Why did you do that?" He asked her. "I saw you struggling to get out from that situation." She said making his expression soft. "I'm sorry to ask this but do you hate your brother for being chosen as the next king?" She asked him to which he immediately nodded his head as a no. "It's nothing like that! I am just tired of being an outcast." He said making her confused.

"You are a part of their family." She said. "No, I 'was'." He said emphasizing the word. "Why?" Claire asked him. "It's a long story but the main reason is the death of my mother." He replied making her shocked. "Does that mean--" "Yes, she is my stepmother and Theo and Jasmine are my step-siblings." He replied.

"What about your father?" She asked him. "He has changed a lot." He replied. It all became silent after that until he spoke up. "Why do you love your sister this much?" He asked her. "She is the only one who understands me since childhood. I never got to see my mother but she made sure that I never felt the emptiness of a mother's love." She replied with small tears building up in her eyes. 

Sky noticed it and gently grabbed her hands. "I will make sure that these people treat her right. I know my brother would do anything and everything to protect her. Jasmine will also love her just like she loves me too. For father and mother, I promise to take care of their part." He said to her making her smile wide. "Thank you so much prince Sky." She said and hugged him in emotion.

He froze on that sudden action of her. She quickly realized what she did and backed off. "I'm sorry." She bowed to him. "It's ok." He said and they both went near the fountain in the garden.

Claire was roaming around looking at the beautiful flowers when she saw a rare butterfly. She ran behind it catch it but she slipped due to the water scattered by the fountain. Before she could fall, prince Sky caught her. 

They both were deeply looking into each other's eyes. They felt as if the time around them has stopped. They felt as if they were drowning into each other's eyes. Both of them did not even move an inch. 

"Sky!" They heard Theo call for them and immediately stood apart from each other. It was very awkward for both of them and they did not dare to even look at each other after that.
