The Reincarnated Royalty

Chapter - 23

The ceremony began as all the royals gathered around. Theo was told to sit inside a pool filled with holy water and the royal priest was then told to perform the rituals. After that he went with his guards to his room and got changed into new clothes. He came back down and then the king made him sit on a normal chair and then they began decorating his coat with shimmering jewels. And finally he got up and the king stepped forward taking his crown off his head.

"I am giving you the most crucial responsibility, my son." He said and put that crown on his head. Everyone present there cheered loudly for him. He stepped forward and put his hand to his heart and bowed to everyone. 

"I hereby take the full responsibility of Philaria, I will protect my kingdom and my people by any means possible. Even if I will have to sacrifice my life, I will not abandon my responsibility." He looked up and saw everyone present there clapping for him. He looked at Rose and saw her smiling widely with happy tears in her eyes. He smiled back at her and then looked at his father.

The king patted his shoulder and said to him in a low voice. "I am proud of you." He said and Theo finally went down to sit on his throne. It was now Rose's turn as she was called near the same pool but was only said to wet her hair. She did that and went with her maids to her room to get ready. She came down wearing an elegant dress but still with no jewelry. 

The queen and Jasmine stepped forward and made her wear all the royal jewels and ornaments. The queen then stepped forward and took off her crown. "Please do not disappoint me." She said and made her wear that. "I'll not." Rose said and bowed to her.

She then looked at the front and also kept her hand on her heart. "I hereby take the responsibility to look after my people and my kingdom. I'll make sure that no one in this whole kingdom suffers inequality and discrimination. I'll put my heart and soul to maintain peace among all of us." She bowed down and everyone cheered for her too.

Claire was so proud of her sister. She looked at her with eyes of admiration and inspiration. Rose then went and sat beside Theo. They both looked at each other with smiles on their faces. The loud drums started beating followed by a rain of flower petals. A sense of power and determination was taking over both of them.

Soon after that, the ceremony was completed. The other guests began leaving from there after giving their gifts and blessings to the new king and queen. The only ones who were remaining there were the families of the Five great royal nations. 

Rose and Claire were catching up on the things they missed when suddenly Rose felt a wave of dizziness but she ignored it. After a few more minutes, she got another wave of dizziness but this time it was strong and she fainted. Before she could fall, Claire caught her. "Rose!" She got worried on seeing her state.

Theo and the others also heard her and rushed towards them. "Rose! Hurry up call the medic!" Theo said to the guards who were present there. He held her in his arms and rubbed her hands to make her come back to her senses. "Rose, can you hear me?" He asked her while gently tapping her cheeks but there was no response.

The medic came and she quickly took Rose to her room. Everyone got very worried for her especially Claire and Theo. Sky came and kept his hand on Claire's shoulder making her look at him. "Don't worry, she will be fine." He assured her and she nodded at him while worry clearly written on her face.

After fifteen minutes, the medic came outside with a smile on her face. "No need to worry, instead it's time to celebrate." She said and Claire went to her. "What do you mean by celebrate?" She asked her. "Queen is pregnant." She replied making her eyes open wide. Everyone was shocked as well as happy for her. Without thinking anything, Claire barged inside her room.

She saw Rose sitting there with a smile on her face too. Claire went to her and tightly hugged her. "Congratulations, Rose!" Rose hugged her back with a huge smile too. "Thank you, Claire." She said and then saw Theo entering inside. Claire left from there to give them both privacy.

Theo went and sit on the bed beside her. He gently held her hand and looked at her with tears in his eyes. "Thank you for giving me this happiness Rose." He said and hugged her. Rose was not able to control her tears and started crying. Theo stroked her hair to calm her down while saying soft words to her. 

She looked at him with a wide smile on her face. "Today is the best day of my life." She said and Theo hugged her once again. "With you, my each and everyday is the best one." He said and they both just kept sitting there in each other's embrace.

Here Claire was walking in the garden when she heard Melanie and Lucy talking to someone. She went to them and saw another royal standing in front of her. She was seeming familiar to her but she thought that it was just an illusion. "Meet her Claire, she is princess Julia of Sinsila." Lucy said and introduced her to Claire.

"Julia?"

"Claire?"

Claire finally got to know why she seemed so familiar to her. Tears started flowing from her eyes as she hugged her without wasting any second. Julia also hugged her tightly while crying as well. Melanie and Lucy were taken aback by what just happened and they both were very confused. 

"I t-thought you d-died." Claire said in a low voice to her. "Although I am still alive, the day I was taken from there, I died from the inside....but now I finally got to meet you again." Julia said while wiping her tears and smiling wide at her. "Oh, let me call Ray too." Claire said and went from there.

After a few minutes she came while covering Ray's eyes. "What is it Claire?" He was annoyed as he was not able to walk properly. "Just wait." She said and finally stopped. She put her hands away from his eyes and Ray's jaw dropped on seeing the person in front of him.

"J-Julia...." He recognized her immediately and hugged her tightly. "I thought I would never see you again." He said while crying his heart out. Melanie was now sure that this person is the girl whom Ray told her about once in a letter he wrote. Lucy also recognized her as she and her also used to talk a little.

"Is she the girl whom you both used to play with a lot in childhood?" Lucy asked Ray and Claire and they both nodded while sniffing their noses. "But as far as I remember, she was from Andria and she was not a royal." She said making Julia look down and Claire and Ray look at each other.

"Let's just not talk about that." Claire said to her and she nodded understanding that it might not be comfortable for Julia to share that. Claire kept her hand on Julia's shoulder and made her look at her. It was then when she noticed that scar on her eye.

"You did not have this scar earlier." She said making Julia's eyes wide. "Who did this to you?" Ray stepped forward and asked her. She did not want to tell them because she knew that they both will go furious on Kevin and she did not want to ruin their reunion. "I got this when I was a child." She said and they both stepped backward. "You better not be lying." Claire said and Julia smiled at her. "I'm not."

She stepped towards Ray and pointed her hand at his head. "You have grown a lot taller." She then pointed her hand lower than her waist. "The last time I saw you, you were this much only." She said making him embarrassed. "Don't change the topic please." He said in a low shy voice. Melanie chuckled seeing him like that.

Julia then went near Melanie and wrapped her hands around her shoulders. "I must say, your choice is very good Ray. She is perfect for you." She said to him. "He will always keep you happy, I am sure of that." She softly smiled at Melanie. She became all red and saw shyly at Ray only to see him flustered as well.

Sky also happened to come there by chance and he smiled at Claire. "Looks like you finally met your friend you were missing badly." He said to her and she nodded at him with a wide smile. Julia came and held her and Ray's hand. "Do you guys remember slogan? Julia asked them. "More clearly than a crystal." They both replied.

"Yesterday brought the beginning,
Tomorrow brings the end,
And somewhere in the middle
We became the best of friends."

They three of them said it aloud together while remembering their childhood when they all said this for the first time ever.
