Chapter - 40

Sky came back to the castle along with his whole troop. His face was pale and his eyes were red from crying this much. He stepped inside and saw decorations all around the castle. Some of the maids spotted him and came to greet him. They all bowed to him. "What are all these decorations for?" He asked them. "Prince Theron, our King's heir has been born!" One of the maids replied excitedly to him. His heart broke more on how he is going to tell about Theo to Rose.

That maid noticed his tensed expression. Soon she saw tears falling from his eyes and him falling on his knees revealing a huge coffin behind him. "Brother is..." He was not able to speak further and broke down into tears. Everyone present in the castle stopped whatever they were doing and looked at that coffin in pure shock. 

They all had tears in their eyes. They lost both of their rulers in just a span of few months. Today was meant to be the happiest day for the kingdom but it turned out to be the worst. The medic came downstairs and saw all of that. Her eyes widened on seeing that coffin and she was in pure shock. "His majesty...no...this can't be the truth..." She covered her mouth with her hands as tears started to flow from her eyes.

Rose heard that Sky came back from the battle field so she came down as well while being supported by some other caretakers. She came in the main hall and saw everyone's eyes glistening in tears. "What are you all crying for?" She asked them. Sky looked up at her. Seeing her made him even more broken than he already was. Rose's eyes then went on that coffin and she blinked her eyes a few times. "What is this coffin for?" She asked them but no one replied to her.

Negative thoughts began clouding her mind. She turned to Sky. "Why are you crying and where is Theo?!" She asked him in a slightly raised voice. "Answer me! Please..." Her voice cracked and her voice sounded broken and desperate. "Please answer me, Sky....where is Theo?" She asked him once again. Sky gather the courage and looked at her. 

"Brother....he....he lost his life...." He began crying again. Rose's whole body went numb on hearing this. She lost her balance and even the caretakers were not able to support her. She fell on her knees trembling badly. Tears were flowing from her eyes like a waterfall. "Theo..." That's what she said before passing out.

There was yet another funeral in the kingdom of Philaria. It was raining as if the sky was crying along with them. All of them found themselves present at that grief once again. Lucy and Julia were standing a bit far away from everyone and were looking down. Jake and Kylie were sitting on their knees in order to show their gratitude to the late king. Sky was standing in the middle with his head hung low with Ray standing beside him, trying to calm him down. 

"Since his childhood he has always experienced pain, our family was complete but his was always incomplete. Even when we all were here, we were never able to give him the happiness he deserves. Now, as his elder brother, I will not let you take his happiness from him."
"You have no rights to talk back to me, Theo."
"I might be breaking the royal rules but as of now I am not a prince but an elder brother who will not let anyone take my brother's happiness from him."

"Thank you for always caring for my happiness, brother..." He knelt down in front of his grave.

"Brother, don't you think this place is very unfamiliar?"
"I do, I am just trying to find where are we."
"Coming to hunt along with you never ends up in a right way."
"I suggest you to take back those words." 

"Please let's get lost into a forest once again, brother." He completely broke down at this point and began crying again. Ray knelt beside him keeping his hand on his shoulder trying to support him.

Rose was sitting in her room with Theron on her lap. She had an emotionless face with tears streaming down from it. 

"So....Princess Rose, would you like to dance with me?"
"I'm Prince Theo of Philaria." 

"I, prince Theo of Philaria, take Princess Rose to be my other half for the rest of my life. I swear to protect her with my life and give her all the happiness which I could."
"I, princess Rose of Andria, take Prince Theo to be the only person in my heart for the rest of my life. I promise to never leave his side and support him at every step he takes."

She looked down at her wedding ring and smiled sadly. 

"In these past days, I became so much happy that this cannot be compared to the rest of my life I spent before I met you."
"Thank you for lighting this dark world of mine."
"You too made me believe that I am worth something too."
"You give me the comfort which no one else can ever be able to."

"I can never let you get a single scratch on your body till I am alive."
"Because I love You, Rose."  

"I love you too, Theo...." She whispered to herself while looking at that ring.

"Queen is pregnant."
"Thank you for giving me this happiness, Rose."
"Today is the best day of my life."
"With you, my each and everyday is the best one." 

"How am I supposed to keep my days happy now, Theo..." She looked down at Theron sleeping peacefully in her lap.

"Promise me Theo, that you will not leave both of us. Promise me that you will come alive."
"I promise, my Queen." 

"Why did you break your promise, Theo...Why?" She broke down into tears and held Theron tightly in her arms. The pain which she was feeling right now was even more greater than any physical pain. Combine hundreds of sword stabs and it will still not be able to compete to the pain she was going through right now. 

She heard a knock on the door and looked up. She saw Lucy and Julia standing there with a tray of food. They both stepped inside and sat beside her. "Please eat something, Rose." Lucy said to her. "I don't want to..." Rose looked at the other side. "It's not good for your health, please try to understand." Lucy said and placed the spoon filled with soup in front of her mouth. "You just gave birth to the heir of this kingdom, you have such a big responsibility on your shoulders now. Please eat something so you get energy for managing all of that." Lucy insisted.

Rose unwillingly opened her mouth and ate that. Tears began to blur her vision once again, Lucy noticed it and quickly wiped her tears away. "Strong Queens don't cry like this." She said to her. "What if the reason why this Queen was staying strong is no longer here anymore?" She looked at Lucy with an emotionless face.

Lucy was not able to answer that question and looked down giving her another bite of food. Suddenly Theron started to cry. Julia quickly took him from Rose's lap and began cradling him in her arms. "Let him spend some time with Aunt Julia as well." She said and began rocking him softly. Surprisingly, Theron calmed down immediately. Julia smiled at him and kissed his forehead.

"I think he likes you..."
