Chapter - 46

Ray was shocked to see Lucy sitting on the throne with a crown on her head. Her face had no emotions and she was just looking at him with blank eyes. "Lucy? Where is father?" He asked her but she did not reply. "Where is he?" He asked her again coming a bit closer. She was just looking at him but did not reply anything. "Lucy!! Where is father!?" He raised his voice and she turned her head to the side.

Ray followed her eyes and saw a gravestone just outside in the garden. His eyes widened and he quickly rushed out. He reached that gravestone and saw that the King's name was written on it. "No...this is not possible..." He was speechless, only the tears in his eyes continued to fall. But he composed himself and gritted his teeth in anger. His fists clenched and he marched back towards Lucy.

"Who did this?" He asked her but she did not utter even a single word. "Who did this, Lucy?!" He yelled at her but a few guards surrounded him. "I think you are forgetting your manners, prince." Lucy said to him in a low and deep voice. He was shocked to see such a huge change in her way of speaking. "What happened here?!" He asked her again. "Can't you see? I'm the queen now. The queen of this kingdom. The queen of Sophiesia." She smiled devilishly which was followed by a maniac laughter. 

"What has gotten into you?!" Ray yelled and tried to go to her but the guards held him tightly not letting him move even a bit. "What has gotten into me?! It's nothing. I was like this from the start. I always yearned for this throne but I knew that father is going to make you his heir because he always thought that I was weak." She said to him and Ray gritted his teeth. "What kind of nonsense is that?!" He yelled again.

"Nonsense? It is not nonsense at all. I wanted this throne all for myself and now I finally got it." She said to him and crossed her legs while sitting elegantly on her throne. "Were you this desperate for this throne that you killed your own father?!" He yelled with tears in his eyes. "Yes I was." Her reply made his worlds crash. 

"Were you this heartless to not even say your bestfriend a final goodbye?" He asked with a broken voice. "You are talking about Rose? Well...I hope her soul rests in peace." She said in a mocking tone which made Ray's blood boil and without thinking he marched towards her but was held by the guards. "Not so early prince." She said and flicked his forehead. 

"Throw him out of here, he is no longer a part of the royal family of Sophiesia." Lucy said in a stern voice to the guards. Ray was not angry or sad he was just shocked to see this huge behavior change in his sister. He was emotionless and the next moment he saw the castle gates being closed for him.

"Please, eat something."
"I do not have a appetite."
"Just eat a little, for Melanie."
"Why, why did this happen?"
"Shh, don't worry. She is in a better place now. She is with her parents now."

"I refuse to believe that she can do such a thing. No matter how much she wanted to take the throne she would never ever harm her loved ones." Ray said to himself and then suddenly a thought crossed his mind. He quickly got up and got on his horse. "I have to talk to Claire right now." He rode his horse on full speed to reach Andria as soon as possible.

Claire was talking with Julia when she heard the loud drums beating. They both looked towards the entrance and saw Ray sprinting towards them. He was all sweaty and was panting heavily. "Ray, is everything ok?" Claire asked her. 

"Tell me, what was this doing in your clothes?!" He showed her that earring which he found in her clothes a few days back. "Why are you asking this?" She asked her with a confused expression. "Just answer my question please!" Ray was trying not to loose his temper at this moment. Claire thought for a while and then told him everything.

FLASHBACK

Claire and James were doing their best to fight the enemy soldiers. James got hit by two arrows on each leg and fell down on his knees. "James!" Claire saw him and ran towards him to help him but someone hit her harshly on the head making her unconscious. 

The next moment she opened her eyes and saw herself all tied up and being dragged by some guards. They were dragging her body on the ground as if she was some kind of object. She noticed something shiny fallen on the ground. She looked closely and saw that it was an earring. While the guards were dragging her, that earring got stuck in her clothes.

"My suspicion was right..." Ray looked down and clenched his fists. "What happened? Whose earring is that?" Claire asked him. "Lucy." Ray replied making both Claire and Julia shocked at his words. "L-Lucy? How is that possible?" Claire was too stunned to even speak. "She killed my father....she is the queen now...she threw me out of the kingdom....she betrayed us." Ray told her while tears started to build up in his eyes. 

Suddenly they all heard the drums beating. Sky came there with a worried expression on his face. "I heard that Princess Lucy has claimed the throne. Is that t-true?" He asked them in a hurry and looking at their faces he knew that what he was thinking was true. "Did she r-really?" He was surprised to hear that. He did not have any personal relation with her but he always saw her as a good friend of Claire and Rose. He never thought that she would do such a thing. 

Jake was out in the garden looking at the new supplies which were to be transported for the troop when he felt something or someone fall into the bushes. He quickly turned around and went near that bush. 

He got really surprised to see Kylie fallen there unconscious. Her body had a lot of wounds and she was bleeding heavily. "Kylie!? Can you hear me?!" He panicked and picked her up. He splashed water on her face but it was of no use. He picked her up and rushed inside the castle.

"Queen!" He yelled gaining everyone's attention. They all turned to him and were even more shocked to see him holding Kylie who was extremely fragile at that moment. "Medic! Give her a treatment right now!" Claire hurried and called the medic.

The medic arrived and took her with herself into an empty room while some of the maids followed her with medicines and bandages. Jake looked at his bloody hands and was even more shocked to see the amount of blood she lost in just the time in which he took her inside.

"What is happening here, your majesty?" He asked Claire who herself did not know anything. "I don't know. We are also trying to figure out what happened." She replied to him. "Queen! We have an urgent announcement to make!" A guard came inside with an information scroll in his hand. "Go ahead." Claire said to him. 

"King Kevin of Sinsila and Queen Lucy of Sophiesia have announced that they have got married in a private wedding ceremony and now the land of Sinsila, Sophisia and the land of Callios and that one town of Sinsila which also became a part of Sohpiesia due to the contract between Prince Ray and Queen Melanie, are all combined into one land."
