Lucy was sitting near the window of her room when one of her maids came there and gave her a letter. It was from Kevin and that letter said that he was coming there to Sophiesia. He also wrote that she should start preparing for the wedding rituals now.

Time passed by and Lucy was now standing in the church, clutching her dress and looking down. She heard footsteps and looked up to see Kevin who was all dressed up and for a change he had a slight smile on his face. He came to her and held her hand. He looked towards the priest and told him to begin the rituals.

"Do you, King Kevin of Sinsila take Princess Lucy of Sophiesia as your wedded wife?"
"I do."

"Do you, Princess Lucy of Sophiesia take King Kevin of Sinsila as your wedded husband?
"I-I do."

"I announce both of you as husband and wife now...may god bless you both and you may now kiss the bride." The priest announced and they both looked at each other. "May I?" Kevin asked her and after getting a nod from her, he leaned in and gently kissed her. She wrapped her hands around his shoulder and leaned in deeper into the kiss. She was holding back her tears the whole time because she knew what was going to happen next.

Kevin broke the kiss and took out his sword. "I am sorry but I cannot waste any more time." He said and went out of the church. His aura completely changed and he was radiating dark energy now. Lucy hurried and also followed him.

The king was sitting on his throne when he suddenly felt a sword on his neck from behind. He turned his gaze towards that person and saw Kevin standing there with pure rage in his eyes. The king was shocked to see him there because according to him, there was no reason for him to be there at that time.

"Do you remember my mother or do I have to recall you about everything." Kevin said in a deep voice which sent shivers down the king's spine. "What are you talking about?" He tried his best to pretend to not know about anything. Kevin dug his sword a little deeper into his throat. Just then Lucy also came there and they both saw her too.

"Princess...please go back. You should not see this!" Kevin said to her. "No...I want to. I want to see how it feels to see your family die in front of you." She said in a lost voice and looked at Kevin. "Because I also want to know how much this hurts." She completed it and kept standing there. "Lucy! Why are you not stopping him!? Do you want him to kill your father?!" The King yelled at her. He was feeling helpless in that moment because Kevin's sword was right at his neck. Any slightest movement will leave him beheaded.

"Do you not have any humanity in you!?" He yelled again. "You are no one to talk about humanity!!" Lucy yelled back. "Not only you disrespected a Queen, you also tried to force yourself on a pregnant lady!!" She yelled at him. "I am ashamed to call you my father!" Tears slipped from her eyes which she had been holding for so long. The king was in pure shock on hearing her words.

"Lucy--" He tried to speak but was cut off in the middle. "If only I could kill you myself, I would do that right now. But I cannot do that because for some reason I loved you as a father. You are lucky that only I know about this. Do you even know how Ray would have felt if he got to know what his father has done in the past?! He worships you as if you are his god. He sees you as a mentor who will guide him through the dark. How would he feel when he gets to know about this!? My brother will be broken!! Broken to his very core!" She was crying even harder now.

She looked at Kevin and saw his grip getting tighter on his sword. "Do it." She said to him. "Don't wait any longer." Just as she said that Kevin slid his sword beheading the King right at that moment. His blood splattered on his face and his flashbacks of seeing his mother being killed by his father played right in front of his eyes.

His hands started to shake as he remembered his mother's cries and pleads begging for her life. He felt as if he was going through all of it once again. His whole body went into shock and he heard his mother's painful screams once again in his head. He was brought back to reality when he felt Lucy hugging him.

He looked at her and exhaled deeply. She was crying badly while hugging him and her white wedding dress was now red by all those blood splatters. He clutched his sword in one hand and patted her head with the other. "Please don't cry, Princess." He said to her in a low voice.

Before he could say something else, they both saw Kylie entering inside. Lucy broke the hug and looked at Kylie who was in complete shock after seeing the scene in front of her. "Guards!" Lucy called and a few guards came inside. All of them were shocked to see that scene in front of them. "Take your precious king's body away from here and prepare for his funeral" Lucy ordered them in a monotone with no emotions on her face.

"Why did you do this, princess?" Kylie asked her with a hurt voice.  "For the answer to your question, I did that for only one reason...I wanted this throne so I had to eliminate him." Lucy put up the act which her and Kevin planned to do. Kylie was soon dragged out by the guards and Lucy once again burst into tears. "I don't want to do this." She said making Kevin look at her.

"I don't want to lie to her. She is the one who trusts me the most. I do not want to break her trust." She said and looked down. "I am sorry. I am the one who dragged you into all of this. It's not even your fault and yet you are suffering." Kevin knelt in front of her. "It was not your fault either. You also had to go through all of that at such a young age. My pain is nothing compared to what you have faced your whole life." Lucy held Kevin's hand tightly and gave him a small smile.

"Why...why are you doing this? What am I to you?" Kevin felt tears building up in his eyes. "My husband, the person whom I love." Just as she said that a tear rolled down Kevin's cheek. It was the first time he ever cried after his mother's funeral. Without thinking twice, he hugged Lucy and let it all out. All those emotions that he was holding for so long were now finally coming out from the deepest corners of his heart.

"Only if we met under different circumstances, we could have lived happily with our families." Lucy said to him still not breaking the hug. "Maybe it was not in our destiny to be with each other. Maybe we can be by each other's side in some other universe where we can actually be happy." Kevin said to her and looked at her tear-stained face.

He removed the hair strands that were falling on her face and looked directly into her eyes. He leaned in and kissed her with all his love. She also kept him close and kissed him as well, pouring all her emotions into that one moment they both were sharing.

"I never knew anyone would ever love me as much as you did, Princess."
