Everyone was gathering around the dining table one by one while Claire decided to go and confront Kevin first. She asked the maid about his room and angrily barged inside. "What do you think you are doing huh?!" She yelled at him. "Calm down princess, learn some manners." He said to her. "Manners my foot! Who gave you the right to interfere in my life?!" She grabbed his collar and looked at him directly in the eyes.
He harshly jerked her back and fixed his shirt. "I just told the king about you breaking the rules. It is my responsibility to see if anyone is following their customs correctly or not." He replied. "What about the spy you sent for Prince Sky?" She asked him.
"I just wanted to see if he is harming anything?" He said and leaned towards her. "Something which belongs to me." He said and traced her face with a little knife which was kept on the table. "I do not belong to anyone! I am a person not an object and no one can own an individual." She replied and pushed his hand back.
"I like your confidence, princess. But please keep your voice low while talking to me. You never know when will I lose my temper." He said and put that knife back. "So what? I am also the princess of Andria and I will not bow infront of a person like you. You should also stay in your limits and this is the last warning. After this, you will see the worst side of me." She said and went out slamming the door behind her.
After breakfast, Lucy told them that she has to leave because of some urgent work. She bid her goodbye to everyone and took her stuff. "Take care, Lucy." Claire said to her and she nodded at her. "I had a great time with you." Melanie smiled at her and she did the same. "I'll join you soon." Ray said and Lucy simply nodded at him too. "I hope we will meet very soon, everyone." She said and went out from there followed by Kylie.
After bidding goodbye to Lucy, Claire went to the basement which lead to the dungeon. As she was about to enter inside, the guards stopped her. "We are sorry princess but you are forbidden to go further." One of them spoke up. "I am ordering you to make way for me." She said and the guards looked at each other. "I won't repeat myself." She said in a strict and angry manner and the guards stepped aside letting her go.
Her body shivered while listening to the painful screams of the prisoners. She clutched her dress and started finding Sky. As she moved further she heard a loud scream. She recognized the voice, it was Sky.
She ran towards that direction and saw him sitting there with his back facing her which was covered in brutal scars. Blood was oozing out of those scars and the guards were pouring chilled water all over his body. He tried not to let out any voice but when the water touched his wounds, a scream left his mouth which made Claire's heart bleed.
"STOP IT!" She yelled gaining their attention. The guards turned to her while Sky just tilted his head a little as he was tied from all the sides. "Stop it! Stop torturing him like that!" She yelled at them while tears forming in her eyes.
"We are sorry princess, but we cannot deny the King's order." One of those guards said. "Then as the princess, I also give you an order to stop your activity right now!" She said to them. "We are sorry, but we cannot do this." They bowed to her while she just looked at them helplessly.
"It's fine, princess." Sky said in a low and weak voice. "No it's not." She said to him. "It was my mistake then why are you paying for it?" She asked him while a tear rolled down her face. "Because I cannot let you through this pain." He replied and smiled a little.
Claire heard guards approaching there at a very high speed. "I can never repay you for this." She said and ran out from there. She came in the main hall and saw everyone standing there. She knew that another heavy rock is going to fall on her head.
"Why did you visit him in dungeon when you are forbidden to go there?" The king asked her to which she stepped forward and looked at him. "Because I am not bound to any of those rules." She replied. "You cannot deny my orders." The king said. "I am a princess too and I also have my own rights. I am not bounded to any of your restrictions and if I am, then you can punish me by the harshest way possible." She said to him.
"Why are you so sympathetic for him?" Kevin asked her. "Because I am the reason for all of this. He is paying for my mistake while I am standing here safe and sound." She replied to him with a dark stare. "I would appreciate if you stay out of my life." She gritted her teeth at him and went from there.
Ray followed her but she just signaled him not to. He understood that she needed some time alone so he stayed back.
He went to balcony to clear his mind from the thoughts which were constantly running in his mind. The cool light breeze was flowing making his hair fly back too. He then felt another presence behind him and turned around to see Melanie standing there.
She came and stood beside him. "She must care for him so much." She said. "This is my first time seeing her being like this for anyone." Ray replied. "They both cannot see it but I can. The way they both always look at each other, talk with each other, laugh with each other, spend time together and all those other things clearly indicate that they both love each other." She said making Ray look at her.
"I think the same too." Ray replied to her and slowly silence started to take over. "You are good at reading people." Ray said to her. "I am always reading people since my childhood." She replied. He looked at her but she just gave him a small smile.
Here in Philaria, Theo and Rose were laying near the window while Theo was reading her the book which she found yesterday. "Who gave you this book?" She asked him. "My elder mother." He replied. "Elder mother?" She asked him with a confused face. "Sky's mother." He replied. "Aren't you blood related?!" She got shook. "Our fathers are same but mothers are different. Me and Jasmine have the same mother while Sky has a different one." He told her.
She got up and looked at him. "Where is she now?" She asked him. "A place better than this. She left us sixteen years ago." He replied making her sad. "That's very sad." She said and again laid down beside him. "Sky became very lonely after that." He said remembering his brother's childhood. "Mother always used to hate him and father also changed after his mother's death." He said and closed that book.
Rose held his hand and made him get up along with her. "Don't worry, I will make sure he never feels lonely from now on. I know princess Jasmine takes care of him just like a mother but from now on I will also try to keep him happy." She said and Theo tightly hugged her. "I can never repay you for this, I love my brother more than anything and if anything happens to him, I will be hurt too." He said to her.
She gently caressed his back and smiled at him. "I will treat him the same way I treated Claire." She said to him and he smiled widely at her. "Thank you so much for coming in my life, Rose." He said to her making her heart flutter. "You became the sunshine of this dark world of mine." He said and looked at her.
"In these past days, I became so much happy that this cannot be compared to the rest of my life I spent before I met you." He said to her and little tears started building in her eyes. "Thank you for lighting this dark world of mine." He said to her and she hugged him. "You too made me believe that I am worth something too." She said to him in a low voice and just kept hugging him.
The time around them stopped, they felt like melting in each other's embrace. They felt as if a comfortable blanket of warmth was surrounding them after spending a cold and harsh night outside. "You give me the comfort which no one else can ever be able to."
