The Reincarnated Royalty

Chapter - 2

Everyone already reached the bus except for Claire who was late like always. After a few minutes, she also reached there. Struggling with the heavy luggage she brought with her, she somehow managed to get on the bus for the trip. "You did not have to bring this much stuff." Rose said to her. "I know, these are just some history books which I thought might be useful." Claire replied to her.

One by one all their friends got on the bus and they all settled down. After a few minutes, a tall person with dark green eyes and a white cap came there.

"Hello everyone! I am Max and I will be your instructor for the trip. I am a historian and I will keep telling you about the place we are going to visit." He introduced himself and all the students inside the bus nodded. 

"So before going any further, I would like to tell you about the Five Great Nations of Royalty. The biggest kingdom among them was the Kingdom of Philaria. It was said to be the kingdom of love. The second one was the Kingdom of Sinsila. It was said to be the most dangerous kingdom and the kingdom responsible for the great war which destroyed all those nations. The next one is the Kingdom of Callios. It was the most beautiful among all kingdoms and was the only kingdom that was officially ruled by a Queen for more than 10 years. Next is the Kingdom of Andria. It was the Kingdom that played a major role in the great battle and was known for its bravery. The last one is the Kingdom of Sophiesia. Despite being the smallest kingdom by area it was the richest one among all of them." Max began reading from his book.

Everyone knew that this was going to be a long journey so they decided to play something in the meantime. "We should do wrestling!" Kevin said. "Are you out of your mind?! We are in a bus you dumbass!" Lucy yelled at him. "No need to yell at me all the time!" Kevin gritted his teeth at her. "Stop it guys." Theo said trying to separate them from each other.

"It would be better if we do nothing and just sleep for the rest of our journey." Kylie said while yawning. "How can a person be this lazy?" Melanie sighed. "Look who is talking! The wannabe Miss Universe." Kylie scoffed and turned to the other side. 

The other students on the bus were weirdly staring at their group. They all were embarrassed and quietly went to their seats.

After two hours, the bus stopped. "We are here." Max said and all the students got off the bus one by one. "This place is almost all ruined now." Lucy said while looking around the Castle. "This is the result of the war." Max told her. They all then went inside that ruined castle which was once one of the most beautiful palaces ever known.

With the ruined carpet, broken windows, dust and spider webs everywhere, that palace was looking like a haunted house. It felt as if there was nothing but darkness all over there. Looking for anything that was not ruined, they found a trunk. "Can we open it?" Lucy asked them. "I'm sorry we can't" Max replied.

"Look! It's written Sophiesia over here." Jasmine pointed out the little keychain hanging on the other side of the trunk. "There are many things from the other kingdoms which are kept here. It is because it is the only place that remained fine over all these years." Max told them.

"Then why are they not making a museum for these things?" Julia asked him. "The authorities are planning to start converting this castle into a museum. They will begin their work by next week. This is one of the reasons why we visited here today." Max said while closing his book. 

"What is the other reason?" Theo asked him. "You will get to know it soon." He replied and they all began roaming around the place.

Walking around the hallways seeing nothing but cracked walls and some ancient paintings they finally reached the courtroom. It was looking as if nothing had happened there. Compared to other parts of the castle, it was fine. "Why is this room still wonderful when the rest of the castle is ruined?" Ray asked Max.

"This is what you call magic. That whole castle got ruined but this room remained perfectly fine. It is still a mystery why this happened." Max replied. After looking around for a while they all were about to go for refreshments when Rose noticed a weird door with tons of locks on it.

"Guys! Look at that." She pointed towards that door and everyone gathered there. "This door seems weird. Why are there so many locks?" Sky asked Max but he just shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know." He replied. "Mr. Max!!" A few students called him from behind. "I'm sorry but I have to go and look over them for now." He said and went from there.

"How do we open it?" Ray began thinking and analyzing those locks. He went there and touched one of those locks. He harshly pulled it out and it broke. "How did you do that?" Claire asked him. "All these locks are weak and rusted. It is easy to break them." Ray replied and then he and James started breaking those locks.

"I think we should not do this." Melanie requested them. "Oh come on! Maybe we will find a treasure worth billions!" Lucy said to her. "Or maybe some snakes and other creepy animals." Kevin whispered in Melanie's ear making her shiver. "You idiot!" Lucy smacked him on his head. "Ouch! It hurts!!!!!" He whined while holding his head. "Stop overacting." Claire said to him and he looked away.

"This last lock is not breaking. It is not fragile like others." James said while trying hard to break it. "Let me handle this one." Kevin shoved him aside and kicked that door with all his strength, breaking the lock. The door swung open and they all went inside curious and scared as well.

There were a lot of paintings and a big dark blue colored pendant kept in a glass cage in the middle of the room. "It's beautiful." Lucy said while going near that pendant. "Lucy stop right there!" Theo warned her. "We should not touch anything, we might get in trouble." He said and everyone agreed.

"It's already night." Kylie said while looking outside from the huge window. "This room looks even more beautiful in the moonlight." Julia said in awe. "I agree." Jake said. "Guys, look at that pendant...." Jasmine gulped looking at it.

"How is this possible?!!!" Ray's breath stuck as he looked at the broken glass and that pendant growing in size and within a few seconds it became huge. As the moonlight fell onto that elegant dark blue gemstone embedded in it, a high-intensity light reflected with strong winds. 

They all tried to hold each other's hand to stay together but they all flew here and there bumping into different things. "Claire!!" Sky yelled as he saw her head bump hard into one of those shelves. She fell to the ground and held her head which was bleeding. "Ow, this shit hurts." She said and pressed that wound to prevent further injuries.

Rose and Theo somehow managed to hold each other's hand and stayed together. Melanie and Ray also held each other's hands. Lucy stumbled and fell beside Claire. "Claire...." She worriedly called her seeing that deep wound on her head. "Don't worry Lucy." She smiled at her.

Kevin, James and Kylie also fell after being hit by one of the shelves. Julia was about to hit the window but Jake came there and held her back. "Don't leave my hand!" He told her and she nodded.  Jasmine was also trying her best to stay in place.

After a few seconds, it all stopped and they all fell on the ground. Sky quickly went to check on Claire. He looked at her deep wound and tied his handkerchief around her head. "Thanks" She smiled at him.

They all looked at that pendant and once again that bright light reflected and that was the last thing they saw before they all fell unconscious.
