It was already evening and almost everyone has already left. "Take care of yourself." Claire said and hugged Julia. "You too." She said to her. "Please write us letters from now on." Ray said to her. She hesitated for a bit but then nodded slowly. She took a glance at Kevin and saw him spaced out while looking at princess Lucy. She just shrugged her thoughts and went to the carriage as it was time for her to leave. Kevin also followed her silently while his guard, James also followed him. Claire sensed something off with his guard but she just let it go as she did not want to ruin this special day.
"I should also leave now." Melanie said to them. "Take care of yourself, princess." Lucy said to her. "I will." She replied. "Make sure to make more tiaras for me." Ray said to her while smiling. "Looks like my brother is going to miss you a lot." Lucy teased him. "It's not like that." Ray spoke hesitantly while hiding his red cheeks. "I will surely make more of them." Melanie said with a little laugh and went to the exit. She turned around and waved at him once more and he did the same.
"We should also go, Lucy and Ray." The king of Sophiesa said to them and they both nodded. "See you all very soon." They both bowed at the others and went from there. "I'll get going too now." Claire's father said. He turned to Rose and gave her a hug. "Congratulations." He gently said to her and she smiled widely. He then turned to Claire. "Jake will be here with you till tomorrow but make sure to come back as early as possible." He said to her and she nodded at him.
He then also turned around and left from there followed by his guards. Just as he left, Jasmine took Claire with her to show her a room to stay for tonight. They both walked through the royal hallway and stopped in front of a big room. "This room looks very old." Claire said to her. "Yes, this room hasn't been opened since Sky's mother died. It was her room but don't worry we got it properly cleaned and arranged when we got to know that you will stay here." Jasmine said to her.
"But why was this room locked like this? My mother's room was being used by Rose even after she left." Claire asked her. "Sky did not want anyone to enter this room as he felt that no one could ever replace his mother." She said to her. "Then why are you telling me to stay here?" Claire raised her eyebrows in confusion. "He himself told me to let you stay here." Jasmine replied and opened that huge door.
Claire nervously stepped inside and was mesmerized by how beautiful that room was. It had a beautifully decorated bedsheet with matching curtains, a book shelf, a lot of paintings, a huge almirah and a lot of other decorative stuff. "This all belonged to her." Jasmine said to her. She looked at Claire's expression and spoke. "I know what you must be thinking, Sky told me the things you loved and it turned out that mother and you have the same interests." She said to her.
"Thank you for letting me stay here for today, princess." Claire bowed to her. "No need to bow to me, this is your sister's home too." She held her by her shoulder and gently tapped her cheeks. "I will leave for now, if you need something then do let me know." She smiled at her and went outside.
Claire roamed around the room for a while exploring the things kept there but soon she thought to go meet Rose. She stepped out of the room and tried to recall where her room was. "It was on the second floor." She thought hard and went to the second floor. This castle was even bigger than her castle in Andria. "It was the third room I guess." She said to her and went to the third room.
There were no guards standing in front of that room. She thought that Rose must have told them to leave from there just as she told Jake when they were younger. Knowing it was just her sister, she casually opened the door and went inside not even bothering to knock for once. "AHHH!!!" A scream left from her mouth when she saw Sky instead of Rose.
"WHAT?!!!!" He turned around and screamed as well. He just came out of the bath with a towel wrapped around his torso and a silky white robe hung on his shoulders clearly revealing his chest. His hairs were dripping wet as well as his face. Their eyes were as wide as they could be. Claire's face was bright red as she started feeling hot while Sky's face was also red but in embarrassment as he forgot to lock the door.
Claire got in her senses and quickly went out and shut the door behind her. She took deep breaths to calm herself down. She stood there for a while until she heard the door being opened from inside. She got to side in an instant as the door swung open revealing a fully dressed Sky. He was hesitant to speak but gathered the courage to somehow speak to her. First of all, he let her in and she did as he directed.
"Did you need anything?" He asked her. "I was looking for Rose's room, they told me it was the third room on the second floor but it turned out to be yours." She said to him. "It's the third room from the other way not this one." He said to her with a little laugh. Claire made an 'oh' face. "What was that scar on your arm?" She asked him. "Oh that, I got it recently while practicing sword techniques." He replied and she nodded. She looked around when her eyes fell on something familiar. She went closer to it. Sky who was just watching her actions till now, suddenly got very alarmed and stood in front of her.
"What is it? Let me see." She said to her. "No, it's something personal." He said to her and blocked her way but she somehow tricked him and got there. She took out a huge painting from behind the curtain. She got extremely shocked on seeing that. "This is mine." She said in a low voice while Sky just shut his eyes as his secret was now exposed.
"It was you who stole that painting that day?!" She asked him. "Yes." He sighed. They heard footsteps approaching them and saw Theo and Rose standing at the door of the room. "It was me and Sky." Theo said to her. "But why did you steal it?" Claire asked them both. "It's a long story." Sky said. "I want to know it." Claire said to him and he just gave up.
*A few months ago*
"Brother, don't you think this place is very unfamiliar?" Sky asked Theo who was walking ahead of him. "I do, I am just trying to find where are we." He said and continued to move forward. "Coming to hunt along with you never ends up in a right way." Sky sighed. "I suggest you to take back those words." Theo frowned at him. They both were walking peacefully until they heard horses coming towards them. They both snuck inside the bushes to prevent getting caught.
"How was it, Prince?" They heard a female voice. "You are pretty good." The voice of a man followed after. Theo peeked from the bushes and saw royal horses with bodyguards and a huge carriage. He was not able to see the faces of those royals but he saw the flag of Andria tied around the neck of one of the horses. "Looks like we entered another kingdom's territory." He whispered to Sky who became very shocked.
"Which kingdom?" Sky asked him. "Andria." Theo replied and they both crawled to some other place. "How do we get out from here?" Sky asked him. "Let me see." Theo thought for a while and then came up with the most basic idea ever possible. "Wear this." He handed him a black cloak which will cover his entire body. He had two of them. "I kept those for emergency, now listen to me. Let's just split up and find a way where very less guards are present. Once you find such place, come back here and wait for the other one to come too." He said and Sky nodded at him.
He wore that cloak and quietly snuck into that deep forest. He was roaming here and there but suddenly he heard some voices and quickly went in the nearest bushes. "It's perfect, you can go, I'll call you if needed." He heard that same female voice speak again. It was silent for a while until Sky accidently moved a bit faster causing the bushes to make sound.
"Who is there?" He felt her standing up from her position. He gripped his own mouth tightly trying not to make even the slightest sound. "Come out at once or it will prove bad for you." He felt her stepping forward and he tensed up. But after a few minutes he heard her footsteps faint away so his body relaxed a bit.
He took a slight peek and saw the beautiful painting she made. He was mesmerized by how real that painting was looking. He just wanted to somehow get that painting from her. "What are you even thinking?" He thought to himself and smacked the back of his head. He then turned his gaze towards the female but before he could, a sharp sword came there slicing the tiny leaves of the bushes to even smaller fragments.
He jolted back and got up on his feet. "Who are you?" That lady asked him. He saw the crown on her head and got confirmation of her being a royal. Without saying anything, he dashed away from there on the spot where Theo told him to come.
He was panting heavily and saw Theo already sitting there. "Did you find something?" He asked him. "Yes, but that way is only safe if we leave at night." Theo said to him and he nodded. He came and laid down beside him. "You do not look very well." Theo said to him. "I am fine."
"I just have to wait till night."
