Chapter - 38

A few months later

Philaria, which was known as 'The kingdom of Love' was now fuming with hatred. After many investigations near the place where the ship sank, they found evidences against Sinsila. The dead bodies of three guards wearing Sinsila's uniform were found there. It was unusual for them to be found at that place that too when only Philaria's ship was sailing in the ocean at that very instant.

War preparations were being made from both the sides. It can begin any moment now. No one knows what the result will be but they still wanted to go for it because the fire of revenge was way more stronger than the water of calmness. 

Philaria had full support from Andria in this war. Claire was leading the backup troop all by herself. Jake was also supporting her but she was playing the key-role. Theo and Sky also formed their own troops to attack Sinsila's army from two sides at once. They both were fuming with rage because of the loss of their parents and sister. 

Theo was inspecting the weapons when a guard came to him. "Your majesty, the medic is calling you to Queen's room." He said and bowed to him. Theo nodded at him and went to Rose's room. The medic stood up from her seat and came to him. "The little one can come any moment now." She smiled at him and he smiled back widely as well. "Thank you." He said to her and she bowed and left from there.

Theo came and sat beside Rose who was resting on the bed. He held her hand softly and placed a kiss on back of it. "Thank you for giving me this happiness, Rose." He said to her but she just looked down. "What's the matter?" He asked her. "Can't you find some other way to solve this? Is this war necessary?" She asked him with a sad face. "I'm sorry Rose, but we can't back out now." Theo said to her.

"There is not a single thing which can be solved with a fight. The only way to make peace is to talk it out."

Rose's sudden outburst made Theo's eyes go wide. "This war will bring nothing but more destruction and more loss of life!" She said to him, tears clearly visible in her eyes. Theo held her hand tightly and looked at her directly in the eyes. "There won't be such thing." He said to her and she looked down.

After a few minutes she looked back up, tears flowing from her eyes. "Promise me Theo, that you will not leave both of us. Promise me that you will come alive." She said to him. Theo came closer to her and smiled at her. "I promise, my Queen." He said and kissed her forehead. He kept his hand on her belly gently caressing it. "Hey, little one...your father is going to make you and his kingdom proud." He said and placed a gentle kiss on top of her stomach as well. 

He looked at Rose with somewhat sad eyes. "It's time for me to go." He said to her but she held his hand even more tightly and pleaded him with her eyes not to go away. "I'm sorry Rose, I have to." He withdrew his hand from her grip and walked away. Before exiting the room, he turned back one last time and gave her a bright smile, going away from there.

He came outside and saw Sky fully ready with his sword and armor. "Let's go, brother." He said to him and Theo nodded, leading the way ahead of him. They both got on their horses, followed by other soldiers. Theo's troop went to the borders while Sky's troop stayed near the castle to deal with any hidden attacks.

Theo reached the battle field and saw Kevin gloriously sitting in his chariot wearing a huge crown on his head. "Welcome, King Theo of Philaria." He said to him with a huge smirk on his face. "Before destroying you, I would like to ask you one question." Kevin said to him. "Go ahead." Theo said to him. "What will your dear Queen do if you just die here?" He asked him. "If I do die here, then I am sure of it that my Queen will not sit quietly and she will do anything and everything to earn what she wants." Theo said to him with a proud smile on his face.

"Well in that case, I would love to see her bravery." Kevin said and got off his chariot, directly running towards Theo with his sword. With that, the battle began. All the soldiers of both the kingdoms were giving their best in fighting for their nation. Theo effortlessly dodged all the attacks launched at him by the soldiers of Sinsila and Kevin. 

He was fighting with all his might. The only thing which was running in his mind was his childhood memories when his family was complete and they all were laughing and playing together just like a happy royal family. "This battle is way more interesting than the one with with Queen Melanie." Kevin said and swung his sword one more time but Theo dodged it again.

"She was pretty weak." Kevin remarked. "She managed to kill your father and win over your most important town all by herself. I don't think she was weak at all." Theo said to him and once again, their swords clashed. "I would have thrown her away like trash in just a few minutes." Kevin said with a smirk while Theo gritted his teeth.

"Women are just like that, weak...pathetic...easy to manipulate...." Before he could say anything, Theo made and huge cut on his arm and kept his sword on his neck pressing it tightly making a small yet deep with blood flowing from it.

"Those who cannot respect women, do not deserve to live like Kings."

He said and kicked Kevin's crown off his head. That crown fell hardly on a rock and its whole shape got deformed. Kevin looked at Theo with blood shot eyes. He launched towards him with his small dagger and attacked his left thigh making him fall down.

Here, Sky's troop were cautiously monitoring the situation inside the kingdom when one of the guards spoke. "Prince, we need back up." Just as he said that Claire came there while leading her troop. "We are ready." She said and looked at Sky. He nodded at her and she went near the borders, to the battlefield.

"Prince, I think we should go to them as well. There are no signs of any harmful attack inside the kingdom." One of the soldiers spoke. Sky thought for a while but then looked down and sighed heavily. "I can't do anything unless I get any orders from brother." He said and that soldier nodded at him.

Claire reached at the borders and horror took over her. There were huge pools of blood and dead bodies of soldiers. Some soldiers were still fighting while the rest were either badly injured or were not able to move anymore. She gathered her courage and ordered her troop to go fight beside Philaria. 

Jake went in the front leading the troop while Claire went to the other side in attempt to infiltrate Sinsila. She was on her horse, going at full speed. She was accompanied by James as well as he knew all the shortcuts inside Sinsila.

Theo was sitting on his one knee panting heavily while Kevin put his sword on his neck. "Any last wish, King Theo?" He asked him. Theo looked up at him with a smirk and grabbed his sword with his bare hands. He got up while the sword dug deeper into his hand making a huge cut. Blood was flowing from his palm but he did not feel any pain and got up. He took out that dagger from his thigh and threw it away.

"This isn't over yet."
