Seven year old Prince Kevin was running around the castle looking for his mother. He wanted to show her all the new sword fighting techniques which he just learnt. "Mother!" He called her but she was nowhere to be seen. He sighed and decided to go back to his room. He was on his way when he saw his mother's personal maid.

He went to her and grabbed her skirt from behind to stop her. "Where is mother?" He asked her. "She is in her room." She replied to him and he ran away from there. He entered inside his mother's room and saw medic and some other maids present there. "You all can leave now." The queen said and they all went from there.

Kevin came to her mother and tightly hugged her. "Are you sick?" He asked her with worry in his eyes. "No." She replied to his while gently brushing his hair. "Then what was the medic doing here?" He asked her and sat up straight. The queen held his hand and smiled at him. "You are going to become a big brother very soon." She said to him and he smiled widely.

"Really?!" His eyes were sparkling. "Yes." "Will it be a girl or a boy?" He asked. "I don't know about that." The queen answered him. "I wish it to be a girl. I really want to have a cute little sister whom I can take care of. I want to give her all the happiness. I will be the best big brother to her." He said and the Queen chuckled at his behavior.

"I have also decided her name!" He said excitedly. "This early?" The queen was a little surprised. "Yes! I always wanted a sister and I have been deciding a perfect name for her since very long." He said and stood up. "I want her to be named as Elena." He said. "Why Elena?" The queen asked him. "Because I want her to shine brightly like a star. I want her to be the best princess in this whole world." He said with a wide smile making the queen a little emotional.

She hugged him tightly and sniffed back her tears. "You'll be the best brother ever, Kevin." She kept on hugging him for a while. "Mother...you are suffocating me now." He said and she quickly broke the hug. "Oh, I'm so sorry." She said and ruffled his hair. "Why do you always do this? You keep on touching my head or ruffle my hairs." He huffed with a little pout on his face. "Because you are so cute like this." She pinched his cheeks.

"I'm going to tell about my sister's arrival to father too!" He excitedly ran from there. "Kevin wait!" The queen yelled making him stop on his tracks. "I want to tell him on my own...please wait for a while." The queen said and he nodded, understanding her.

It was evening now and the Queen was on her way to call Kevin for dinner. She entered inside his room and saw him doing something with paints and paper. "Kevin." She called him and he turned around. He came to her with a paper in his hands. "See!" He showed her the painting he made. "Our happy family!" He showed her the painting of him, the king, her and a little girl. "It's you, father, me and Elena." He said to her and she smiled at him. "It is very beautiful."

A few days passed and Kevin was once again finding his mother. Unlike other days, the castle was awfully quite today. He went inside the queen's room and saw that she was crying. "Mother!" He quickly went to her and held her hands in his little ones. "What happened, mother? Why are you crying?" He asked her in worry.

"Y-your aunt...my sister...she is no more." She told him and cried more. He hugged her as he also felt tears building up in his eyes as well. "The elder Queen of Philaria right?" He asked her and she nodded. "Prince Sky's mother..." She replied and he recalled her. He saw her once when they attended a royal ceremony. He knew that Sky was his cousin but they both never really talked to each other. He doubted that Sky even knew him as he stayed in his room most of the time.

"Kevin...can you please leave me alone for a while?" The queen asked him with her puffy red eyes. "Yes." He replied and went out from there and closed the door behind her. He was going to his room when he saw a guard coming to give the queen a notice. Kevin did not want to interfere but his curiosity was taking control over him. He hid behind a pillar and tried to hear what they were saying.

"It's all her fault...it's all her fault that my sister died..." He heard his mother say. He tried to look at her face and saw anger and sadness both at the same time. He saw her throwing away that notice and kneel on the ground, crying loudly. He felt his heart break on that scene so he just ran away from there back to his room.

Later after dinner, the queen went to the garden to take a walk so he went inside her room and saw that notice still laying on the ground. He recognized the handwriting. It was of one of their guards who was sent to Philaria to keep an eye on Sky's mother and protect her if anything happens. He opened that notice and began reading it.

"Your highness, I need to tell you this right now. I know that I do not have a lot of time left. I might be executed any time soon. I want you to know that the person who is behind the queen's death is none other than the second princess, Princess Jasmine and Prince Theo's mother. She was the one who poisoned her which made her fall ill and leave us all. I just wanted you to know the truth. I advice you not to do anything because the second princess is very dangerous and can do anything to get what she wants."

He read that whole thing and was very shocked. He heard footsteps and kept that letter to where it was. He went near the window and pretended not to know anything. "Kevin?" The queen was confused to see him there. "I wanted to sleep with you, I am feeling scared." He said and the queen agreed. "Ok, lay down." She said and patted the space beside her. He hugged her and within no time, went to sleep.

Just like that, a few months passed and it was already autumn. Both Kevin and his mother were visiting Andria for their annual autumn festival. The queen had a lot of guards with her. Two months have passed since she got to know about her pregnancy. Her stomach was a little bit swollen now but there was not any significant difference. The queen of Sinsila was always known for her good looks and she was glowing differently now.

They both reached Andria and were amazed by those decorations. Kevin was looking all around with excitement. He was coming here for the first time. All the things which he saw around him, made him amazed.

Soon they both reached the castle. They got to know that the king was out of the kingdom for some urgent works. The queen was very well treated by the maids. They arranged lunch for both of them. As they were eating a little girl approached them. She bowed to them. "Good afternoon, I'm princess Rose of Andria." She introduced herself politely. "Good morning princess Rose." The queen said and did a little bow to her. "Will you play with us?" Rose asked Kevin and he nodded and went out with her.

After he left, the queen was left alone there along with a few guards. "You all should also go and eat something." She told them and they all nodded at her. As they left, she felt an uneasy presence around her. She turned around but no one was there. She was all alone in that whole dining room.

"Queen." She heard a voice and looked to the other side and saw the king of Sophiesia standing there. He slowly took steps towards her and she took steps back. She did not know why but she was having a strange and uncomfortable vibe from him. He had a devilish smirk on his face and she knew his intentions by his movements.

"Stay...away..."
