"What do you want to talk about?" Lucy asked him. "I want to tell you everything...since the very beginning." Kevin replied to her. "Why me?" She asked him again. "Because I feel like you are the only one who can trust me." He said and Lucy saw the sincerity in his eyes. She did not want to but she agreed to listen to him. Kevin took her to a place where no one else could see them and told her everything that happened to him and why he was doing all of that.
After he finished talking, he looked at Lucy who had tears in her eyes. She covered her mouth in shock as she was not able to believe what he just told her. "You...had to go through all of that...at such a young age...all alone..." A tear slipped down her eyes as she processed his words. "Will you help me, Princess?" He asked her.
Lucy was hesitant at first but then gave in. "I will." She said taking him off guard. "Are you sure? Because if you do, the rest others will go against you and your own loved ones will hate you and consider you a traitor." Kevin said to her. "I know but...they all still have each other while you are all alone on your own since the very start...now I don't want you to stay alone anymore...you have me by your side...till my last breath." She said to him making him even more shocked.
Tears built up in his eyes as well but he controlled himself. He was not able to contain his emotions and hugged her. Lucy also patted his back to calm him down. "I owe you everything I have, princess." He said to her and she just smiled a little.
A few days later, Lucy got to know that the former King and Queen of Philaria along with Princess Jasmine are going to some other nation for trade purposes. She wrote a letter to Kevin to tell him about it.
Kevin was in his room when he got Lucy's letter. He read it and planned to send his guards in that same ocean and make that ship sink. "I want two of you to stay there." He said to his guards. "But why, your majesty?" One of them asked. "I do not want anyone to suspect princess Lucy for this." He told his guards and they bowed to him, going away from there.
"It's all her fault...it's all her fault that my sister died..."
"I want you to know that the person who is behind the queen's death is none other than the second princess, Princess Jasmine and Prince Theo's mother."
"You will pay for making my mother cry, the former Queen." Kevin said with a dark aura surrounding him. He went back to his room and waited to hear the news from his soldiers. "Sometimes, I wish I could tell you the truth about your mother, Prince Sky but I know that you will not believe a single word I'll say." He said and burnt that letter which he was keeping since so long.
A few hours passed and one of his soldiers came to him. "We did as you said, they all are dead." He said and Kevin nodded at him. "I want to apologize to you Princess Jasmine and the King but...but in order to get something...some sacrifices are necessary to make."
One day Kevin was roaming in the garden when he got the news that King Theo has declared a war on Sinsila. It was unexpected but he had no other choice. He went to the basement and gathered his guards to make a quick strategy for their attack. "I have to win this war at any costs because my revenge isn't done yet." He said to his guards and they all nodded at him.
On that day of the war, he was standing in front of Theo, holding his sword, ready to kill him. He purposely provoked Theo to attack him first. Their fight continued and he saw Theo picking up a huge boulder and aiming at him. The last thing which he remembered before passing out was him stabbing Theo.
He woke up in his bed with a bandage tied around his head. He got up and looked around only to realize that he won that war and Theo is dead. He was about to go out when a guard came inside. "Your majesty, we have captured James and Queen Claire." He said to Kevin and was angry on hearing that. "Why did you do that?" He asked him. "We had no other option, they both could have destroyed us." The guard replied and Kevin sighed.
He got up and went to where they kept James and Claire. He saw both of them being tied up in a miserable state. "What should we do to them?" The guard asked. Seeing them like this, Kevin started having flashbacks of his mother being killed. Before he could reply, he saw Claire's chains moving.
"This isn't the right time to take a nap, is it, Queen?" He took some steps towards her. He had no other choice but to provoke her too. After being satisfied from her reactions, he turned around to leave from there. "Should we kill them?" The guard asked him. "I don't care, do whatever you want but do not let Queen Claire die." He said and went from there.
Later, he met with Lucy in Sophiesia. She was sitting in her room and getting the news of his arrival, she came to see him. "Do you need something, King Kevin?" She asked him. "Yes, but it's something really too much to ask for." He said to her. "Tell me." She insisted. "If I tell you to kill your father, will you do that?" He asked her and her face turned pale. "W-what?" She was in pure shock. "I already told you what he did to my mother, I want to kill him with my own hands but since you are his daughter, I'm asking if you could do that." He said and stepped closer to her.
"Why would I do that to my own father?" She was confused. "I knew you will say this. That's why I will kill him with my own hands, with my own sword and in the dining room itself very soon." He said to her with a dark gaze. "I know it will hurt you a lot but I have no other option." He gently held her hand.
"I know I am no less than the devil itself but once this devil was a broken angel too." He said to her who had tears in her eyes. She hugged him tightly and her tears fell on his shoulders. "I know, I know this is wrong. I know this will cause me pain but...I...allow you to..do it." She said while sniffing her own tears. "After all, the good has to win over the evil." She broke the hug and looked at him who also had tears in his eyes.
"The next thing which I am about to ask might be a little too much for you but..." He knelt down on his one knee and held both her hands. "Will you accept this devil as your husband?" He asked her with sincerity in his eyes. He was looking directly in her eyes waiting for an answer when he saw her taking her hand back. He was confused at first but then she began speaking.
"I also have one favor to ask from you before giving my answer to you." She said to him and he nodded at her. "Go ahead." "I know what you are planning to do will only lead to the death of all of us including you and me too. All the five great royal nations will end along with your revenge and nothing will be left at last. So I request you to...not let even a single scratch on Rose's child. He or She will be the one to keep us alive for the future generations. I ask you to not harm him or her at all." She said to him and he looked down. "I promise, that child will be safe till the very end." Kevin said to her.
"In that case, I am ready to accept this devil as my husband."
