Sky was locked in his room by the king so that he could not meet Claire. He was sitting inside, trying to find a way to go out. He did not know the reason why he was kept inside. After struggling for a while he was finally able to break the lock and go outside. He was roaming in the corridors looking for anyone but no one was to be found.
By hearing some maids talking, he got to know that he was locked inside because Claire visited today. He went down in the main hall and saw all the gifts scattered all around and it was a total mess. He saw his family members standing there. He then saw Rose coming inside. All of this was making him very confused.
He went to Jasmine and asked her about what happened here. She was hesitant at first but then told him everything. Anger started building up inside him and he went to his father. "Why did you do that?!" He asked him. "She had no rights to come here after what she made you go through." He replied. "It was not her fault!" Sky said in a raised voice.
"She herself said it was her fault." The king said and stepped backward. "I never told you to care about me this much." Sky said and stepped forward. "You are my son! No one has the right to disrespect my son! The son of the king of Philaria!" The king also raised his voice. It was silent for a moment and everyone was looking at each other.
Sky stepped backward and spoke in a low voice. "Did you ever see my as your own son?" He said and looked at his father. Tears were clearly visible in his eyes. "Did you ever pay attention to me after mother left?!" He yelled making everyone shook. Jasmine knew that he is finally letting it all out and she felt a bit relieved about that. "I did, you are my son." The king replied. "Stop with all this fake care." He scoffed at him.
"Then do you even know what my specialty is?" Sky asked him. "I am a king, I do not get much time to spend with my family." The king said. "Then how do you know that brother excels in sword fighting and Jasmine excels in literature?" He said in a calm yet sad voice making the king and everyone else speechless.
"But, Sky we really do care for you." The queen said and he looked at her with a dead look in his eyes. "Please go and try these sugar coated words on someone else." He said and gave her a blank stare.
"I am going to find princess Claire." He said and turned around to leave. "You are not going anywhere!" The king said but he did not listen and went out. The king was about to follow him but Theo stopped him. "Since his childhood he has always experienced pain, our family was complete but his was always incomplete. Even when we all were here, we were never able to give him the happiness he deserves. Now, as his elder brother, I will not let you take his happiness from him." He said and looked at his father directly in the eyes.
"You have no rights to talk back to me, Theo." The king said. "I might be breaking the royal rules but as of now I am not a prince but an elder brother who will not let anyone take my brother's happiness from him. Your vision in blurred by rage, you are not able to see your own mistake, father. Please think calmly, do you not want to see your son happy?" Theo asked him and the king started to realize his mistake.
"I do want to see him happy." He replied. "Then let him go to the person he loves." Theo said and the king stepped backwards. He turned around and went to his room.
Claire had to take the forest route as it was crowed in the town. They all were going deeper inside the silent forest. The sun was about to set and it will be dark soon so they increased their pace to reach back as soon as possible. Jake and the other guards took out their weapons incase they encounter any robber or wild animal.
Not so long after that, they all heard someone approaching them from afar. By time the sound of a horse running became clear and thinking it might be a danger, Jake ordered the guards to go faster. But Claire's instincts said something else. The only thing which she could think of right now was Sky. "Stop the chariot." She ordered and everyone looked at her. "But princess--" Jake tried to deny but was stopped by her. "It's an order." She said and the guard stopped that chariot.
She got off and saw a silhouette of a person on a horse approaching them. It became clear as the person reached near her and she was happy after knowing that her instinct was right. "Prince Sky." Her voice came out as a whisper as she was overwhelmed to see him.
He got off his horse and came to her. Without wasting a second, Claire tightly hugged him. Sky also hugged her back. He felt all his anger vanishing away as she took him in her embrace. Claire did not want to let him go but she had to back off. She looked at him and a rush of happiness flowed in her whole body.
"How are you now?" She asked him. "Much better after seeing you." He replied making her chuckle. "What about you princess?" He asked her and she just smiled at him. "Seeing you safe, made my heart feel safe too." She replied and hugged him once more.
"I was never able to apologize to you for that incident." She said to him. "You do not need to." Sky said. "But--" She was cut off by him. "Let's just forget about that incident, please do not bring it up again." He said to her and she nodded at him.
Jake who was watching them smiled a bit and then took the other guards with him somewhere else. "Let's leave them for a while." He said and the other guards followed him.
Sky took Claire's hand and took her with him. "Where are you taking me?" She asked him. "It's not like I am kidnapping you, don't worry." He said and she just shook her head. After coming a bit far from where they were standing, Sky left Claire's hand. "Why here?" She asked him. "Just look there." He pointed at the sky. Claire looked up and saw the most beautiful sunset she could ever see.
"Just like how every sunset leads to a new morning, the distance from you made me realize that you are my sun. My sun which will bring a new morning to me."
He said and looked at her with admiration in his eyes. She also looked back at him.
"But the sun also sets everyday. It cannot be there in that blue sky for the whole time. At night the sun is replaced by the moon." She said to him. "Even then, the sun is the one who is giving its light to the moon so that it could shine." He said and held her hand. "The sun never leaves that blue sky, it is always there even thought sometimes it is not visible to us." He brought her closer to him.
"If that's the case, then as the sun never leave its sky, I will also never leave mine either."
Claire said to him and stepped closer to him. "After so long I finally found the happiness which got lost when my mother left. The reason for this happiness is only you, princess Claire." He said to her as tears started to build in his eyes.
"Please never leave me, if you do then I will be broken to the core and this Sky will shatter forever." He said to her while tears flowing from his eyes. Claire's eyes also became emotional and tears built up in her eyes too. "I'll never let that day come, this sun will set forever only along with its sky." She said while tears flowing from her eyes too.
"I love you, Princess Claire."
"I love you too, Prince Sky."
Sky smiled widely and cupped her cheeks. He brought her closer to himself and gently connected their lips, kissing her with full of love. Claire also kissed him back with the same amount of love.
Tears were still streaming down their faces but this time they were the tears of happiness. After a long time, the sky has now finally found its sun to light it up brightly.
