Days passed by and Rose and Theo's relationship got better. They both started to feel comfortable around each other. Theo started to catch feelings for her but was not sure about how she feels for him. He always tried his best to make her feel like home. They both went for walks and Rose made Theo read books with her. She also made a very delicious dessert for him too which he liked so much that now he craves for it everyday. In short, their life was now filled with happiness.

But on the other hand, Claire became very lonely as Rose is not with her now and Lucy has also left. She felt really alone these days and mostly stayed in her room either making paintings or reading books. Right now she was sitting in her room reading a book when she heard a knock on the door. She opened it and saw Jake standing out there. "Prince Kevin is talking with his majesty in the library." He told her.

After coming back from the lunch that day, Claire ordered Jake to give her every single detail about this castle in secret especially about Kevin because she was suspicious of him and Jake was just following her orders as of now.

She went downstairs and peeked inside the library. She saw Kevin asking her father for some signatures. She was confused but it suddenly hit her. "The major alliance..." She barged inside the room and took that paper from the table and tore it down. She glared at Kevin shooting daggers with her eyes.

"What was that?!" Kevin stood up from his seat. "Where are your manners Claire?!" Her father was furious at her behavior. She looked down at the torn papers which clearly had the heading of the major alliance contract. "Why are you trying to do this?" She stepped towards Kevin. "This alliance will improve the relations between our kingdoms." He replied while stepping back.

"We both know it very well that it will only favor you and you just want to capture our resources." Claire replied while looking him directly in the eyes. His eyes widen a little and he stepped back. "Plus there is no reason for us to improve any relations." She added. "We are about to get married." He said. "Looks like you cannot understand a simple thing, prince Kevin. Our. marriage. isn't. fixed. yet." She emphasized each and every word.

She then turned towards her father. "I thought you knew what is the best for your kingdom, father." She said to him and he looked down. "Are you this much into marrying me to him that you forgot your own people? Are you this desperate to marry me off?" She asked him with clutched hands. "Or do you just need someone to take after your position just because you always considered both me and Rose weak?" She again asked him but this time she was hurt.

Without saying any other word she went out from there, harshly shutting the curtains behind her. She entered inside her room and sat on her bed. Without her knowing some tears slipped down her eyes. "Why is this all happening?" She asked herself.

Kevin became furious and left from there in an instant. Without wasting a second he got on his horse and set out for Sinsila castle followed by James, his personal bodyguard.

Claire was laying on her bed when she heard a knock on the door. Thinking that it would be a maid, she told the person to come inside. The king stepped inside and she got up from her bed. "Father." She was shook seeing him. He noticed the dried tears on her face and sighed.

He took off his crown and kept it on the table beside the bed. He came and sat beside her. "I'm sorry." He said to her. She was more shook. "I'm sorry for not thinking about this kingdom and more importantly you." He said to her. "No, I should be the one who should say sorry for behaving rudely." Claire said to him.

"I am not desperate to marry you off, I just want both my daughters to settle as soon as possible because I do not know for how long I am going to live because of my bad health." He said to her. "Neither do I consider any of you both weak. I was just scared to loose you two just like I lost your mother. But seeing you today made me realize that I was wrong. You are just like your mother. You have the same emotions in your eyes just like her. Today, I realized that you can take care of this kingdom and be a powerful queen. So, this is why I have decided to make you the heir of my throne." He completed.

Claire was beyond shook. Never ever she imagined her father to say those words to her. Since childhood he always treated them as if they were made up of glass and will break anytime but today he himself told her to be the heir of the throne, giving her such a huge and dangerous responsibility.

He took that crown from the table and came near her. He gently took off her small crown and placed that huge one on her head. He held her hand and sat back on the bed. "You lost your mother because she died, but you lost your father too because I never tried." He said to her making some more tears to fall from her eyes.

She tightly hugged him and he hugged her back too. "I love you, father" She whispered to him. She pulled back from the hug and her father fixed the crown on her head which was about to fall. "Do not let this leave your head, this belongs to you." He said to her. "But till you are here with me, you are the only one deserving this." She said and put that crown back on his head.

The king told her to wait for sometime as he went out to get something. She waited there looking at her own reflection in the mirror. "Am I really that similar to my mother?" She asked herself.

Just then she heard footsteps and the King entered inside and gave her a necklace which had a beautiful flower design on it. "Your mother made it for you. You were born in spring so she made it herself for you. She wanted to give this to you when you will be fully grown as a princess." He said and she held that necklace in her hand.

"I'm giving this to you because now you are matured as a princess and it's time for you to rule as a queen." He said to her. She looked at that necklace for a while and then wore it. She looked at her reflection in the mirror once again. "Thank you, mother." She said while clutching that necklace. In her heart she felt proud to be the daughter of the queen who sacrificed her life without a second thought for the sake of her Kingdom.

Here in Sinsila, Kevin barged into the castle with full rage. The maid who brought water for him got very scared. He took that glass from her and slammed it on the floor. He went to his room and messed it all up. "You are messing with the wrong person, Claire." He growled. "I will make sure to make your life hell once you marry me. I will not let you breath in peace even for a day and after that I will make Andria mine even without the alliance contract." He said with the dark aura surrounding from all around. His eyes became darker and darker and he saw his own sanity vanishing away as he drowned deeper in his intrusive thoughts.

Julia, who heard him from outside smiled on seeing this state of him. "You deserve this for treating others like your puppets for your whole life." She said while looking at the big scar above her left eye. She put down the cloth from which she covered her eye. "This is not just a scar but a constant reminder of my ruined childhood." She said while smiling bitterly looking at her own reflection in the small mirror.

"Claire will end you and your sins for sure." She said and again wore that cloth.
