Chapter - 42

It took Rose a while to balance on her horse but she eventually did and rode off to Sinsila. On her way she was just gathering up the courage to go there and protect her sister. 

Sky and Jake reached the castle of Sinsila and noticed a place which was a little bit far away from the castle. There were a lot of guards there and they both were sure of it that Claire and James were being kept there. They both got off their horses and grabbed their weapons, moving towards that place.

There were more than hundred guards with swords, bow and arrows, daggers, whips and many other weapons. But they both did not care about it and directly went for a frontal attack. 

They both were fighting with those guards, trying to make and way for them to go inside. Sky was about to slash one guard's neck when someone kicked him from behind making him fall on his face. He quickly got up and turned around with a glare. He saw Kevin standing there with his sword and his famous smirk.

Kevin launched towards Sky with full speed but Sky dodged him swiftly. "I see, both the brothers have same techniques." He said and launched from the other side. He hit Sky's hand making his sword fall and quickly got on top of him locking his right hand so that he cannot pick up his sword again.

This time Sky smirked at him and grabbed a guard's sword which was fallen nearby with his left hand, smashing it's end on Kevin hand making him loose balance and giving Sky the chance to stand back up again. "You are right, me and brother have the same techniques but we have a difference. Unlike him, I can use swords with both of my hands." He said and slashed his sword through Kevin's arm.

Meanwhile Jake got the chance to go inside. He went inside and saw the most brutal scene right in front of his eyes. James and Claire were being hung as if they were some sort of animals. Their bodies were covered in blood and their clothes were rugged. James had a lot of whip wounds and cuts on his body and Claire's both ankles and wrists were burnt along with countless scars.

He gathered himself together and tried finding ways to open those chains and free both of them. Many guards came to him and attacked him all at once. He was falling weak but then something in him sparked and he was able to counter-attack all of them.

"I will not let anyone harm my loved ones. Think thrice before laying an evil eye on them."

He went on a rampage and blindly slashed down all of those guards without caring about anything. His body began covering in blood of those guards. It was as if he was bathing in it. He stopped to catch his breath when he felt the chains move. He turned around and saw Claire was awake and Rose trying to break her chains.

"Your highness?!" Jake became very shocked on seeing her there. "You shouldn't be here! Its not safe for you!" He said to her and came near her. "Go and help James." She said to him, completely ignoring his words. "But--" "It's an order." She said to him and he had no other choice rather than obeying her.

He put back his bloody sword and went to James, trying to break those metal chains. After trying hard for a while, they both were finally able to break those chains. James was still unconscious and Jake held his body. Claire was in her senses but was too weak to speak anything. She was tied a bit higher and just as those chains broke, she felt down fragilely. Rose held her up.

Rose wrapped her one hand around her shoulder and they both began walking slowly. Rose's heart was breaking on seeing her sister in this condition. "Claire...can you hear me?" She asked her. Claire nodded slowly at her. "I want you to do a favor for me." Rose said to her and Claire turned her head towards her. Rose made her lean on the wall near the exit. "Stay here for a while." She said and took out her sword. Claire's eyes widened on seeing that. She tried to move her hand to stop her but she was not able to because it was all numb.

Rose was standing in the middle when a lot of other guards came and attacked her. She took a deep breath and glared at them with an emotionless face. She recalled all the small techniques which she once learned and used all of them. She was killing them mercilessly. She did not have even a small spark of kindness in her eyes. It was as if it all vanished away in an instant.

The shy and kind princess who once got panicked just because she harmed a stranger for self defense was now a ruthless and powerful Queen slaying down hundreds of people on her own just to protect her sister. 

Just as she was fighting with them she heard a huge blast, she saw that some other guards were throwing canons near that place, clearly trying to kill them. "Jake, take James and get out of here as fast as you can!" She said Jake hesitantly nodded and went away with James. 

That whole place began to tremble and it was evident that it could collapse anytime now. Rose threw away her sword and went to Claire who was trembling badly. She held her on her back and tried to go from that place.

Rose herself was very weak as she has not yet recovered from giving birth but she did not lose hope and kept on going, ignoring all her pain. The only thing which was in her mind at that moment was to make her sister go back to her palace, safe and sound. 

Sky was fighting with Kevin when he also noticed that whole place about to collapse. "They have very low chances of surviving." Kevin said to him. Sky gritted his teeth and jabbed a dagger in Kevin's inner thigh making him fall down and growl in pain.

Sky rushed to that place and saw Jake coming out along with an unconscious James. "Jake!" He called him and Jake came to him. He noticed James condition and felt really bad for him. "Take him to Philaria, he needs medical care." He ordered Jake and he nodded. "But what about Queen Rose and Queen Claire?" Jake asked him making him narrow his eyes. "Queen Rose?" He was shocked to hear about her. "You didn't know about her coming here?" Jake asked him. "No I didn't!" Sky rushed towards that place without wasting any other second. 

Rose and Claire were near the exit when suddenly Rose felt immense pain in her lower belly and blood started to come from it. She noticed that some of the stitches opened up leading to that. She just stood there, not being able to move.

She noticed that the roof of that place was about to collapse. Without thinking twice she took off Claire from her back and pushed her out of that place. She fell on the ground and tried to control her screams due to pain intensity. Sky reached there and held Claire. He forwarded his hand for Rose to take it but the distance between them was too much making it hard for her.

She smiled sadly and stopped trying. "Please! Try again!" Sky said to her in a desperate tone but she just smiled at him once again. "Take care of my sister." She said to him and the roof began falling little by little. "Rose!!!!" Claire yelled at her with all the energy left in her but Rose just gave her a small smile. "I love you, Claire." She said with tears in her eyes.

Sky and Claire both refused to go away from there without her but if they did that, all three of them would die. "Go away from here you both! It's an order from the Queen of Philaria!" She said to them in a raised voice. "I don't care about any orders!" Sky said to her in a raised voice as well.

"Sky, please go away from here. I'm saying this to you as an elder sister. Please go..."
