The battlefield was blazing with anger, power and determination. On the one side stood the most powerful kingdom of all, Sinsila and on the other stood the second most powerful kingdom, Callios. Both these kingdoms were fighting against each other but they had one thing in common, the thought of destructing the other one.

Kevin made the first attack by launching his frontal troop directly towards Melanie. She also signaled her frontal troop to counter attack. Swords clashed and they all witnessed the beginning of a new great war. Melanie launched towards Kevin with her troop guarding her from all the sides.

Kevin was practically doing nothing except staring all around. Just as he saw Melanie approaching him, he took out his sword to fight her but to his surprise, she surpassed him and went further inside his kingdom. He quickly turned his horse to follow her but she shot an arrow on his horse's leg making it fall down. She looked at him with pure anger in her eyes.

She paced up and continued to go deep into his kingdom followed by James who was telling her the shortest route possible. Kevin was not able to understand her motive until he started connecting the dots.

"She called for this war because I killed her mother, if I didn't do that then this war would not occur at the first place. Does that mean she is after my father and not me?" He questioned himself. "Yes, she is after him. What a foolish queen she is. Driven totally by her emotions. Does she think that I will give up after she kills my father? No way, I actually do want to remove him from my way so that I could get the throne. She is just making my goal even more easier to achieve." He smirked to himself as he watched both the troops colliding with each other.

"Your highness, don't you think that we are just making it easy for prince Kevin by aiming for the king?" James asked her. "No, not at all. I know very well that a person like him would never ever have any feelings towards his own father. I know very well that if I kill the king right now, then it will just make him the next ruler of this kingdom but my motive is something else." She said as she looked at the common people of that particular area living in harsh conditions.

"I want to free them from here, that's my main goal but to do so I have to kill the king because this area is under special presidency. I have to kill him to claim this area as mine and I will do that." She said. "I understand your concern towards these people but how will it benefit us?" James asked her again. "This whole town is the hub of natural resources for Sinsila. The products and raw materials extracted from here constitute 75% of Sinsila's total production value. If this city comes under my control then there will be a shortage of raw materials in the whole kingdom which will lead to fall in trade and eventually will lead to fall in Sinsila's economy." Melanie explained and James smiled widely.

"This is wonderful! You truly are a mastermind, your highness." He said to her and they both finally reached the castle. "Its time now." She said and they both got off their horses along with the other soldiers. They both killed all the guards one by one and entered inside only to see the king sitting right in front of them. "Do you think I was  not prepared for this, Queen Melanie?" The king looked up and smirked at her.

He came forward towards her and they both got surrounded by Sinsila's guards. The king looked at James. "I think you know very well what we do with traitors, James." He said to him and a lot of other soldiers came and surrounded him. They all began attacking him at once leaving him helpless. "James!" Melanie looked at him with wide eyes.

"Don't worry about me your highness, I will handle them." He assured her. Suddenly Melanie felt something cold on her neck. She looked to the side and saw the king's sword right at her neck, any slightest movement and her neck will be chopped off. "You made a huge mistake." The king said to her. "I know." She said to him making his expression turn the opposite.

Melanie smirked as she saw an arrow piercing directly into his stomach and blood dripping on her hand. She took out that arrow only to put it inside him once again making him grown in pain. "Is it hurting?" She asked him. "This is nothing compared to that huge cut on my mother's body." She said and kicked him right on the spot where that arrow was dug.

Blood escaped from his mouth due to sudden large pressure. He fell on the ground while holding his stomach. Melanie looked to her sides and saw herself surrounded by Sinsila guards. They all launched at her at once making her loose her balance and slip off. She fell on the ground below all those soldiers. They all began hitting her making it impossible for her to even breathe.

"I just want to see you happy, Melanie. No matter what you do I will always support you as long as it's right."

Her mother's words echoed in her ears and she got some strength in her. She pushed hard and was finally able to come out from below all of them. She was badly injured at this point. She tried moving her left arm but it was paining. "Looks like it is broken." She said and tried to move it once again but it was of no use. She looked towards James and saw him badly injured as well.

"Both the mother and the daughter turned out to be weaklings." She heard the king speak and turned around. "She came here begging for our help and you will go from here begging for your life." He said to her and launched towards her with his sword. She swiftly leapt around and took the sword of a soldier fallen there.

Their swords clashed with each other with equal force from both the sides. "My mother was not a weakling!" She growled at him pushing him away with her sword. "If that's true then why did she come here?" He asked her with a smirk. "Because she did not want to fight with her own family. She was not heartless and cruel like you people!" She said and dashed towards him.

She was about to attack him but before she could, he slashed his sword through her leg making her fall down. She groaned in pain. She tried to stand up but failed. "You are looking even more pathetic than her." He said mocking her. She looked down in despair. She tried to stand up but failed every time.

"Poor being, I am not not that much cruel so I'll make a deal with you." The king said while crouching down next to her. "What deal?" She asked him. He took out some papers from the back of his coat and showed them to her. Her eyes widen as she read those papers. Those were the papers of the special presidency of that town. "If I sign these papers then I will no longer have control over this town." He said and drew out some blood from his thumb and placed it on the signature place. "I'll give you this city only if you are able to kill me." He said and got up.

Melanie looked at him with fierce eyes. He just shrugged his shoulder and went to sit on his throne while swaying his long cape. She tried very hard and was finally able to get up on her feet but was trembling badly. She took a few steps forward and picked up her sword which was fallen on the ground. "The fight isn't over yet." She said making him stand up from his seat. "Don't worry, it will not last long." He said to her with a smirk. "Exactly." She launched towards him with full speed slashing his left arm leaving him in disbelief.

She stumbled a few times and was about to slash his other arm but he inserted his sword inside her from the back. She coughed blood and fell on the ground. "I told you it will not last long." He said to her. "This isn't over until I get what I want." She said and used up her whole strength to get up.

"Any last wish, your majesty?"
